The location is good to access the beach and restaurants on the strip. The restaurant is very good, not sure if they are over priced, but the meals are freshly cooked and the service is very quick. The staff are friendly and polite.

I didn't like the shower in the room. No shower tray. It is unfinished, a missing row of tiles. Walking down the strip, the constant hassle you get from the Gambian men is off putting. They have what I call a certain chat up line" They start chatting to you friendly, then they might give you a gift then they ask you to give them something from your heart i.e. money! Not a good look for a country that survives on the tourists coming to inject money into the country.

This is a surprisingly nice resort, located on a beach. The rooms are very large, nothing spectacular, but clean. Overall, very refreshing.

If the booking has been done through Booking.com and the price given is in US$, then the bill should be charged in US$ as well - it is thoroughly insulting to do some extremely stupid mental gymnastics by converting the original price in US% to Euros, and then back to US% to justify the end price being 10 - 15% higher. Another very stupid thing by the resort is to disable air conditioning units and only to activate them for $8 per day. It is not clear how the owners think that this is normal.

Fabulous members of staff were always happy to help throughout our stay The apartment was cleaned to a good standard as were the grounds and pool areas. Fridge in the apartment was very useful and there was a microwave and cutlery provided The small bar near the apartment was always welcoming and a great place to relax after a gruelling day on the sunbed. Towels provided daily by the small pool and it was always clean and had sunbeds available. No-one putting towels on in the middle of the night is always a welcome sight ! Food at the restaurant was great and it appeared to be well used by guests and local people Great location for a wander round and plenty of nearby bars and restaurants to try. We loved it!

It was a bit it of a walk down to the main bar / restaurant but they do provide a buggy - just to note for anyone with mobility issues. This is not a criticism because the stay was amazing and we were well looked after at all times.

Nice staff. Convenient location. A lot of shops and restaurants were close by. Police checkpoints also keep the place secure.

Music can be very loud at night. I believe it comes from night clubs across the street. Some nights I couldn’t sleep until 3 or 4 am. This is the only reason I didn’t give the place a 10/10. There was also a time the water shut off in the building for an hour. They fixed it though but it was unexpected and an inconvenience.

Very nice hotel, large area, lush and well-kept garden. We stayed in a bungalow by the beach, so it was a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Very clean. Nice beach with free sunbeds. There are a lot of restaurants and bars around, there are also a few shops and a fruit stall.

I don't know if the owner or manager reads guest reviews, and if he does, why doesn't he draw conclusions? Guests mainly complain about street noise, poor internet and staff. We lived by the beach, so we had silence, but other complaints I have to confirm. For 1.5 days the wifi didn't work at all, then it got better, but sometimes it was gone for a few hours. The ladies at the reception are unsympathetic, cleaning is too rare (if you have a kitchen in the apartment and you cook, throwing out the garbage once every 3-4 days is far too rare). There is no staff on the beach at 9am. Of the three pools promised, one is not working and the other is microscopic. The third is ok. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, we killed 10 or more on the first day. Yuck.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kololi Beach resort. The rooms and beds were comfortable and it had a beautiful balcony. The area is very lovely with a short walk down to the restaurant right on the beach. The restaurant serves really nice food and we spent some time at the pool. The location is right next to the strip where you can visit many shops and restaurants. The people working here are very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend this place!

I didn't like when you order something at the restaurant they asked for your room nr and when I paid my bill and left the resturant the bill was not registered as paid and when I checked out,all of a sudden I had unpaid bills according to them whilst I had already paid it, so a tip to others: Keep all your receipts. But it got sorted out in the end but that was a bit of a bummer.Apart from that, it's a lovely place and I will return

Compared to other resorts or hotels the Villa was spacious and unbeatable location. All staff outstanding especially restaurant, cleaning and security went out of their way to serve us every day. Lovely grounds, monkeys and birds on site beautiful. We loved the Villa and appreciated being able to drive into the grounds to park nearby. Other guests were all lovely and friendly too. Mostly Brits. Very comfy beds 💤 Probably, the best place we have stayed in The Gambia overall as ticked all our boxes. Look forward to hopefully returning again in the not too distant future. Nice touch was the option to order food and drinks 'hampers' on arrival. These are a great touch, a winning idea to arrive to fridge and cupboards full of many self catering essentials plus wine, beer, water and drinks. We used Abdoul and Annie Matou on the beach nearby for fruit plates and juice and the massage place on the beach next door was great value and pleased so close.

Whilst the pools are great, the one near the beach needs re-grouting in places as some of the tiles are sharp and might cause a cut to the skin/fingers. Also some small fruit flies on the pool umbrellas could be easily removed/repelled with some insect spray. More clarity e.g. about check out times or visitors would be appreciated. After rushing to leave the room by 11am we were told we could have requested a late check out which would have been good to know ahead of time. My brother in law was staying in a nearby hotel and kept having to get a pass from reception each visit throughout the two weeks stay. It would be better if he was offered a visitor pass to use for the duration and then hand back in.

this was one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever visited. it was peaceful and welcoming and the staff was always helpful to their best ability. the entertainment they had for the guest was remarkable. lastly, the beach was amazing and clean.

there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the dishes and drinks they serve. the beds were hard as rocks. when I first arrived the room was dusty and the sheets had weird stains on them. the A/C wasn't turned on until 5 days into my stay.
