The pictures that we saw on booking.com was exactly what the property looked like in reality which was a breath of fresh air. It was nice. Also the staff were friendly. they were always willing to help and will go out of their way to make your stay special. Thank you to all the Bamboo garden hotel staff for such a lovely stay. we felt safe and well taken care of.

I think what we didn’t like about the property was the cleaning staff. when they come to clean the rooms every day, they were always very loud and constantly talking in their language which from my point of view was not very professional and it also makes someone feels like they are talking about them.

The bathroom is soooo small and the sink area had no drainage making the whole bathroom messy, The first room I was given had stock cigarettes smell which was disgusting to me but the other room I was changed into smells nice. I enjoyed swimming in the pool but u just HVE TO MARK the pool for its depths and height. Thats very necessary and important.

It's a basic hotel, really enjoyed my stay! Everything was clean and good organised for Gambian principles.

It's basic comfort don't expect luxury. Only breakfast could use some improvements. Specifically the bread is not suitable. Simple improvement can be made.

Unusually clean and perfect accommodation by local standards. Working air conditioning, clean rooms, running water, hotel pool and distance to the beach all make this hotel one of the best in the area. We have visited many hotels in The Gambia and this one was absolutely great for us. If you need to relax, the Bamboo Garden Hotel is the place to be.

I'd just like to say to the hotel management. Train your staff. They're telling nonsensical lies about the hotel, and a lot of other guests might be put off. Not all of them, of course, but they should know how not to ruin the hotel's reputation.

A lovely hotel with nice facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Will definitely go back. Best wifi I’ve ever had in my many trips to Gambia.

My only complaint is the air conditioning was not amazing - the engineer came a couple of times and said it needed new gas but this was not done due to the cost. I cannot fault the staff for trying to help make us comfortable - offered other rooms, got the unit looked at promptly each time etc. But the management need to be willing to also invest in this to make it better.

Very friendly staff!! Thank You. Good location, near very nice beach. There are a lot of restaurants and bars aroud. Big supermarket and ATM in walking distance. 24 hours reception.

second stay at this hotel and again not disappointed.

the air conditioning units are always effective. The staff come and fix them if you report them but they should be properly maintained so they don’t go wrong - ours was just filthy dirty and when they cleaned the filter it was perfect so. of a big job….. Could have a bigger selection for breakfast.

The people working there, very friendly and helpful all the time. Good location, easy to access main places to see. Very near a beautiful beach Good AC in the rooms. Internet reasonably reliable

The manager at breakfast limited my request for breakfast which was completely unreasonable of him as I had paid for 2 guests, apparently this limited you to 2 boiled eggs! We had a right game every morning with him and it became the battle of the boiled eggs 🥚 we saw the funny side of it, he didn't. Didn't let this ruin the stay there are bigger things in life to worry about than a boiled egg and sometimes I'd just pop out and buy them for less than 5dalasi... no drama just annoying given the price paid.

Nice place to stay and convenient for the beach. The pool is good and the staff are lovely. There’s a supermarket and restaurants nearby. It is a tourist area so people will approach to sell things etc.

Soap and towels are provided, but you need to bring your own other toiletries. Not a big deal as the hotel is overall very good value, and you can pop to the Express shop.
