A home away from home where you will make friends minutes after you've arrived and have a hard time leaving! The garden is the center of the universe here, it's where you meet people and share a drink or coffee and party at night. The bedrooms on the other hand are peaceful with comfortable beds an privacy. In short: A perfect place for any solo traveller who wants to socialize yet also enjoy a good rest.

Nothing, this is how a hostel is supposed to be.

The location is the best you can imagine, close proximity to the shops, various restaurants, museums. The staff is quite friendly, but a bit lazy though. Mo can make you coffee in the morning if you ask him nicely. The yard is one of the best features of the place: very cozy, nice lights, music, fire barrel, small bar. One day it was pretty cold, so everyone gathered around the fire in the evening and talked. People are friendly, which is good if you traveling solo and need a company. Laundry room downstairs is a nice bonus. There are enough bathrooms: 2 upstairs, 2 downstairs and there are separate toilets in the back of the yard, but only 2 bathrooms in general are accessible without exiting the main building. There is a cat called Karvi, that is pettable and chummy.

Besides the yard there is a tiny common area joined with reception, packed with working people, so there is no place to hang when the weather is unsatisfactory for the yard. The kitchen has only 2 chairs and not clean enough. The toilets joined with showers were pretty much always wet and not clean enough. Since there is no divider between shower and toilet, everything gets always gets wet including toilet paper.

Umit was so warm and welcoming, by the end of our stay, he felt like a good friend. The location is perfect: everything is at a walking distance, but the area is not too busy or noisy. Our apartment was nice and functional. The bed was the most comfortable I have experienced in Georgia.

There were occasionally issues with the water pressure and temperature. The apartment was still a work in progress in terms of kitchen utensils, but whatever was missing that we needed, Umit provided.

Umed just started this hostel and is working his butt of, not only at running a hostel but also at becoming fluent in English! I'm not a fan of pods, especially in this climate, but it had a socket, a light, a curtain and the room is big and has 3 big windows so enough fresh air, there are even free lockers, the kitchen is big and clean and the patio is just terrific! So cozy with music, hanging umbrellas and couches! Absolutely loved the place and the location is awesome!!!! Umed you're the best, I would even come back to Georgia just to see your hostel when finished! Ps I booked a mixed dorm, but liked the female one better, so that's what my review is describing

Totally worth it's price. Everything is well organized including cleaning, silent doors, locker rooms, amazing kitchen, common space for work, chilly balcony with nice view on quiet street. Location is perfect, the area is more calm and prestigious rather than the eastern part of historical center. Cheap grocery shop in the same building downstairs. Friendly staff. Capsule system insures your privacy in comparison with regular dormitory. Lots of other tiny details that made me understand that owners really thought how to make your stay as pleasant as possible (charges, temperature indicator in the bedroom, automatic air purifier in the bedroom, soap and other basic necessities for bathroom). I'm sure I'll choose this one next time in Batumi if I come alone.

I don't know what else you should expect from hostel at this price range. Water pressure in the restroom was a bit weak but I guess it's municipality problem.

Amazing, very cozy and clean hostel! Very caring staff. The administrator and owner of the hostel are kind and friendly people, you can immediately see that they care about you. Karvi Hostel felt like home from the start. It’s clean and cozy, with super comfy beds and a big kitchen that has everything you could need. I loved having the balcony to smoke on—it was a nice little spot to hang out. The vibe is chill and welcoming, and it’s in such a convenient location. Shops, restaurants, and bus or train stations are all close by, which made getting around really easy. They even have a traveler map with all the must-see spots and useful directions. It’s warm everywhere in the hostel, and that cozy atmosphere made my stay so comfortable. It’s the perfect place to relax, meet nice people, and feel right at home.

Excellent and polite staff, they told and showed everything, the mattresses were very comfortable, it was like I was sleeping on a cloud! The architecture of the building is magnificent, Greek columns and high ceilings.
