I like the location, it is on the beginning of the old town and from there you can take a walk. Restaurants, cafes, small shops and anything that you want is close to you. If you like to stay in buildings that, lets say, have a soul and story, than this is definitely for you. Breakfast is simple, but more than enough for the start of the day.

Personally for me it is not a problem, but some may find it difficult. You can park your car 100m down the street on the rail station parking. The parking is not for free and you will have to pay 4€ for one day if you leave your car between 10:00 and 18:00. From 18:00 to 10:00 the parking is free. Dont get confused if you see free parking lots in front of the hotel, they are for locals.

We really appreciated the very warm welcome we received here after hours of train travel. We were escorted personally to our room, assisted up the stairs with our luggage, given a very helpful orientation to the hotel and its facilities, were offered a spacious and very comfortable room and within a short time, were relaxing on the terrace over good coffee and delicious cake. Hotel Herberge zur Traube is exactly the sort of place we hope to find when we travel in Germany, with family-run hospitality that makes all the difference in a hotel stay. Breakfast offered good variety, including house-smoked meats, the hotel itself s a historical delight, and Bad Wimpfen is a very pleasant town, with most of what we needed within walking distance, including the trains. We hope to return to this lovely hotel.

This little gasthaus the perfect place to spend the night after visiting the ancient town of Wimpfen, the castle there having been built by Friedrich I Barbarossa beginning in 1170. Yes, I had a small room, even by German standards. But I didn't care--it was a solo room, I didn't have my wife with me on this trip, and the shower was hot and the heater worked. The thing is, this wonderful gasthaus oozed Gemuetlichkeit--I mean, how many hotels, as you are walking up the stairs to your room, display half-timbering on the staircase? None that I've ever been in, and I've been in dozens of hotels throughout Europe. Also, the guests were given free access to what amounted to a large living room, although I was the only one in the living room the night I stayed. The staff was very friendly; the rooms didn't even have numbers; rather, they had names. The breakfast was excellent. And they have some well stocked fridges filled with German beer and wine (you pay on the honor system). Does it get better than that? I don't think so.

The hotel i located in the beautiful medieval centre of the town, walking distance from restaurants cafés, and bakeries. Room with standart equipment, old fashioned. Very good breakfast. Public parking close to hotel. Complimentary welcome drink.
