Dinner (we booked halfboard, I highly recommend it, all 5 courses were delightful) and breakfast were exquisite, room was very large and comfortable, staff was delightful, swimming pools were very nice (especially the outdoor pool during the rain), everything looked and felt luxurious!

The only negative I could find was the mattress, it was very soft with a huge dent in the middle, which resulted in me waking up numerous times during the night, swallowed by the bed, trying to find my way out.

Great breakfast and a large room. The location was directly within the National Forest so you can exit the hotel and walk onto a nice trail.

The opening times for the spa and restaurant is quite early. So if you spent the day out and about, you have to rush the use of the spa in the evening to get ready for dinner. Luckily they also offer some food at the bar. The room was a little dirty, but mainly dust. The rooms are not sound proof.

The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff were professional. Fantastic varieties of saunas and gym equipment are available. There is also an interior and exterior pool. A good breakfast is provided, with the possibility to enjoy the view while eating. It's great if you want to spend a couple of days chilling out after hiking. The view was fair, although it depends on the balcony orientation.

Some staff members responsible for breakfast seemed stressed and preoccupied rather than being customer-oriented. I had to wait for 20 minutes with a plate in my hand without knowing where to sit. However, in the end, I appreciated how they made themselves available to talk and resolved the misunderstanding.

Very friendly Staff! Lovely and clean room and all the other facilities were perfectly fine and clean. Huge selection of high quality breakfast goodies.

One morning i had to wait quite a while for my gluten free bread. Not that tragic and i think that‘s actually the only thing that wasn‘t perfect :)

The flagpost makes some noise at night (because of the wind), and the "smokefree rooms" are somewhat smokey from smokers from the next door appartments.

Wonderful location, the views and the surroundings are amazing, especially during winter time. The hotel is very comfortable, our room was very spacious, nice bathroom. There's too much light coming from the windows in the morning, but since breakfast is until 10h30, that's ok. The staff was very friendly, especially the lady during our check-in and the gentleman that served us during dinner, as they both spoke in English with us, which was great. They were also extremely polite and welcoming. Very pleased with our stay!

The indoor-pool's water could be warmer and we were told we could get a parking spot, but we only saw outdoor places (which may get filled quickly?...). Since it wasn't snowing, that was ok, but we would prefer a closed garage. That, and too much light in our room in the morning, were the only (very) minor setbacks.

The location is exceptional and the spa-faciliies perfect.

The matresses are worn and the restaurant service was rude sometimes, but this is probable due to the lack of staff. The bar was closed altogether due to the staff problem.

This is a German Hotel. If you do not speak or read German, you will need Google Translate. Otherwise, it is a lovely stop in the black forest. We would stay there again. It is something to be aware of.though.
