Location is close to the city centre and is easy to locate. It is located alongside the railway line, however we didn't notice any noise from passing trains. The hotel is in a very quiet location with little passing traffic (both cars or pedestrians) with this being far enough out of the city centre bustle.

Car park entrance at the hotel is difficult to find - it is a blank roller shutter along a row of buildings on a slip road. You cannot park or wait here on the road - so be prepared to drive around the block at least a couple of times. It wasn't helped by a car being parked across the entrance when I did locate it...If you are arriving late (after 6pm) and leaving early (before 9am), then park your car on the road across from the hotel for free instead of paying. If you wish to park in their car park - this must be booked in advance (as they have less than 10 spaces). You will need a key fob from reception first to raise the shutter. The key does have a hefty deposit attached (€50 paid in cash only) which is returned when you hand the key fob back into reception on leaving.

I had a great stay at this hostel! The location is perfect—just a short walk from the railway station, which made traveling very convenient. The bed and linens were fresh and comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. I also really appreciated the unexpected upgrade to a women’s room instead of the common dorm, which made my stay even better. Would definitely recommend it to other travelers!

Check-in procedure was a little too complicated. Felt like both online check-in and reception check-in are required.

The room was clean, and the hostel already provided amenities like towels and bedding. Breakfast was OK with the options to make yourself a sandwich (wish there were vegan options as well) and a coffee. It was a bit pricey, though, compared to local food spots. There was some room in the lobby to chill, but I wish there also existed a more quiet space to do some work.

We've tried to check in via the hostel’s app but something was wrong on the reception side with the payment but it was sorted out in the end. The app also didn't tell us to ask for the room card with the reception. Wish it was more of an end-to-end experience.

The room is clean and nice.

However the towel and bed lines are not as free as other hostels that I have booked The kitchen is pretty dirty and the hostel doesnt provide cooking pots and pans. There are not lot of plates and bowl in such a huge hostel. There is no cup or glass available in the kitchen.

The staff, always helpful. There was a guy, I didn't get his name, but he was working for an other hostel in the same chain, was there as an extra work, and he went over and beyond to make sure I was comfortable when my bus was very late. And I recently broke my foot and the staff was kind enough to put me in a down bed.

I am happy to share my comments with you. The staff was exceptioanlly helpful! I could turn to them any time that I needed them for anything. One gentleman went even out of his way to make me confortable by changing my room due to a person who occupied my room who was smelling like coming from a stable. I thank him for that. His name was Batuhan if I am not mistaken. The gentleman from India was very helpful. The housecleaners were exceotionally fine and good and neat. I had a fine stay there and based on this experience decided to use the same faciltiy in Cologne but to my surprise, I was very dissapointed in Cologne in the Newmarket Location. The toilette smelled after urine. I am sure that it was not cleaned. The rooms are much much smaller and dark. No TV in the room either. We had to pay for towels! I would not recommend this location to anyone. Based on this experience I decided not to use A&O Hostels in Lubeck and Flesnburg. One person in Cologne was very helpful, Khassan. He really saved my stay here. Please thank him for me. Thank you.

Rooms simple but clean Reception staff very helpful & friendly. Nice food and bar and lounge area to hang out. 24 drinks/food available. Pleasantly surprised given it is a hostel. Security on door for evenings and strict no noise after 10pm which was enforced vey well. Catered for groups and families very well.

Only recommendation would be add fridge in rooms.

The room was clean. The others in the room were nice people. The price was excellent!

(minor significance) I the steps getting into the upper bunk had been a bit thicker in depth, where one's foot lands, it would have been it bit easier on my bare feet.

I only stayed for about 10 hours as came from Hamburg and passing though on way to Amsterdam on a late bus. Wanted to check on the city. Glad I did as not take long to see the city wanted somewhere to charge my devices up leave my stuff shower and relax, was Cheap just to do that. It is a little bit from from the city but not that far still still walking distance which unless you need to go back to the hostel 5 times a day it’s perfect 😂 It’s clean and comfortable
