I had a wonderful experience at Congress Hotel Chemnitz. The location is unbeatable—right in the city center with easy access to everything. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options to start the day right. What made the stay even more special was the staff—everyone was so kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their friendliness added a personal touch that really stood out. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chemnitz!

While the rooms don’t have air conditioning, it wasn’t a big issue for me. The hotel provides fans free of charge upon request at the reception, which was a thoughtful touch and worked perfectly for a comfortable night’s sleep.

The location is very good, in the city center close to most sights. The hotel is the highest building in the city, so it is very easy to find. Rooms have nice views, espceially closer to the top. The restaurant at the 26th floor have the best views. The room was not very large but comfortable. I arrived early but got a room before the official check-in time, which was nice.

They offer luggage storage, but it seems not perfectly safe. You don't get a reciept, but they give you access to a room, where you put in and take out the luggage yourself. I would not leave any valuables there.

I had a very pleasant stay at hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, approachable, and attentive throughout my visit. Breakfast was served on the top floor of the city's only skyscraper, offering both a great view and an excellent selection. I especially appreciated the extra effort the team made to accommodate my gluten-free dietary needs.

I'm not sure if this was specific to the hotel, but the Wi-Fi connection was quite weak during my stay. In general, the internet in the city doesn't seem to be particularly fast, which might have contributed to the issue.

We had a small suite, with a bedroom and a living room and two bathrooms. It looked as if it had been made from what would originally have been two very small rooms, but was quite generous and comfortable as it was.

The breakfast room was marvellous, on the top storey of the building with a grand view of the city, but the breakfast itself was rather average. Plenty of stuff but nothing really good or interesting.

The tallest building in Chemnitz and dating from when the city was still Karl-Marx-Stadt. I had a great view of the much larger than life size head of Marx from my 14th floor window. Decent sized room with comfy bed, sofa, desk TV. Good to have an openable window too. Decent bathroom with good shower. Although the hotel has been refurbished it still has a pleasantly DDR feel to it. The restaurant on the top floor has an incredible view to accompany your breakfast and the buffet has a good selection including plenty of vegan options.

I couldn't get the Wifi to work anywhere except the lobby on one of my devices which was a problem no one could resolve. My tablet worked fine. Don't normally have any issues. There is no in room drink making facility which is a normal German hotel shortcoming. There are some sort of complementary drinks available in the lobby.

My third stay at the Kongress in 2023. Always love coming here. The "old" single rooms with the sofa are my preferred choice of room. I hope they will be kept for quite some time, because it's a rarity to have a sofa in a single room. But having this sofa means not having to sit on the bed when watching TV or reading or something.

Nothing to dislike, just some suggestions to make it even more perfect. A second pillow should be available in the wardrobe, preferrably a memory foam one. And a fridge should be available in the "old" rooms too since there is no restaurant in the hotel, and it would be nice to be able to store some food.

The staff at the Congress hotel was helpful and friendly, my room was very clean with a comfortable bed and a window that could be opened with a view a the Karl-Marx Statue in Chemnitz. Actually the room was fairly simple, but what really blew my mind was the wonderful sight and decoration on the breakfast room on the 26th. floor. That together with a very good breakfast gave this hotel an upper hand compared to other hotels on the area.

The rooms could have a nicer decoration and outside at the parking lot it took us a few minutes to recognize where the hotel entrance was. (There was no sign indicating in which direction the hotel entrance was located)

We appreciated the location, which offered good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the reception desk remained open until late hours. Additionally, we received a cool bag filled with dog treats. The fee for our dog was 15EUR, which is the standard rate.

There is no water in the room. Its possible to buy 0,75l for 5EUR in the reception. Carpets were a little bit stinky.

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past. The location is very convenient to the Christmas Market in December (very walkable)! The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is very substantial and comes with an outstanding view from the top floor of this high rise hotel.

The restaurant staff appeared to be "bothered" by the guests. This was the first time I've experienced this level of service at this hotel. Also, a bit disappointing that hotel guests have to pay extra for parking.

Perfectly central position, nice view from the room and from the restaurant on top, where they serve breakfast. Super breakfast! Polite staff, lightning-fast checking and checkout. Parking right ahead of the entrance. Average single room, with good comfort and mattress. Nice GDR architecture, totally refurbished inside. Would stay again.

No air conditioning in room. The window could be opened, but the air was still and somewhat warm in the summer. Private parking under the trees: birds may strongly affect the appearance of you car… The price for the parking is somewhat high, despite the central position.
