Spacious room, great bed. Had a very good night's sleep. Clean and modern too. The air conditioning was fantastic, especially as the weather was so warm during our stay. Has a mini fridge which we didn't use but good to know for someone else. Free bottle of water too. Great location for restuarants etc, just a short 5-10 mins walk to the main touristy area too. We came by car but the train station is literally 2 mins away. We didn't book breakfast and opted to eat in a bakery in the main town area. Parking was offered at €17 a night. I can only assume it's behind the hotel as we didn't use it. Uncovered but looked to be a dozen or so spaces, most were empty. We opted to use local parking instead which was underground. There are about 3 within 5-10 mins walking distance. It was €17 too. We had a slight hiccup on check-in. Booking.com or user error but either way I booked 2 rooms for two couples but they had it down as two rooms for single occupants. They nearly charged us extra for our partners but the manager kindly waivered this. Looking at other nights in the next week it was cheaper than we paid with the right allocations. So thanks to the staff for being lenient. Beware of city-tax add ons too, €2.80 each.

Nothing I can think of. Staff were helpful even with the booking mess up. Don't bother with the digitial check-in thing. Wait for a human to check you in.

We had a 3 bed room which was extremely large. Plnety of space and facilities. The hotel is on the main street in front of the lake, so ideally situated. There were plenty of allocated parking spots (but we were off-season so I don't know what it would be like if the hotel were fully occupied). Ours was just an overnight stay en route to somewhere else but would stay here again if planning a longer stay. The outside and the decor in the reception/bar general public areas is traditional but the room was very modern, so the best of both worlds.

The water pressure in the shower wasn't very good

I was lucky to receive an upgraded room from a single to a double. The room was spacious, clean, and the shower pressure good. Staff were very nice and I could even take my well-behaved dog with me into the breakfast room. Breakfast was nice continental selection with added scrambled eggs and bacon. I had reserved a parking space, which was a short walk up the road, but there is a loading area just outside the hotel door. With a dog that likes to sniff most things when walking it took us a while to get into town but the walk was nice alongside the lake with plenty of benches and the small park the other side. Good connections from town to other places on the lake with the catamaran to Konstanz as well as ferries to other towns. The hotel was easy to find using Google maps, it's on a one way section with the open air parking (about 8-10 spaces) at the end, if you are next to their garages you'll need to drive back around the block to get to their open air parking spaces!

With the Euros, there was quite a lot of noise at night with car horns, which were very loud. This I understand is completely outside of the control of the hotel, but more to highlight the room is not fully soundproofed. There are restaurants close by next to the lake. To get to them, you need to walk through the small park which during daylight I felt safe to do so, I probably wouldn't want to in darkness but a longer route could be taken which was better lit.

Great location. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning quieter than most and much appreciated as we were staying during a very hot period. Mini fridge to keep our snacks and drinks cool

Not much to say here as we were room only so didn’t eat in hotel. Decor perhaps a little dated. Next time we’ll maybe request a bigger room

I had a nice room with a couch, fridge and water kettle for a few euros more than a standard single. The receptionists were very accommodating and helpful with some car and parking issues that came up and solved it quickly so it never became a problem. One of the breakfast wait-staff was extremely considerate. Once she understood my dietary restriction she accommodated it, and the next day brought me the same thing without me even asking. And she told a colleague of hers so I would receive the food I could eat. I felt very cared for and am very appreciative to this woman. The location is also great, right next to the lake, the train station, a grocery store and restaurants. There is a great restaurant a block away.

The dinner at the hotel restaurant is not worth the price. Highly recommend going elsewhere. There is a hotel restaurant down the street which is actually fantastic (ask at the desk!)

Very good location with the train station a few hundred metres away and just on the other side of the street from the lake. Very large room and bathroom with a bathtub.

Dinner at the restaurant was excellent but the service was a little slow. If you need gluten-free bread for breakfast, double-check at check-in that they have made note of your needs or else, they will not have it ready for you (I found out the hard way the first morning although I had mentioned it when I booked the room). They were very apologetic and super nice about it the second morning.

I liked people working there. They were so helpful just from the bottoms of their hears, without any encouragement. The noticed that I bought flowers and right away proposed vase. Without asking…just like that. That bought me right away.

Stability of WiFi connection could be better.

Bed was very comfortable, free bottled water was nice gesture and restroom was clean and adequate. Breakfast was a bit confusing because it is in two rooms but after that discovery we have found everything we wanted.

Room was a little small and I saw on booking that there are rooms left with two single beds (in same price) but receptionis didnt allow us to change our double bed room to that.

Very spacious clean room. Very quiet. The location was good near the train station and the waterfront boardwalk.

We were visiting from Canada and none of the information was in English. Also the staff members did not always seem to understand English well. Not sure how many people visit from English speaking countries, but it would help if their was a bit more fluency. It seemed sometimes like the front desk staff were focusing more on their paperwork than the guests. The restaurant waiter was great. Very attentive and he spoke English well.

The furniture in the room was ill-chosen. Though there was plenty of room, the bedside tables were ridiculously small. The wardrobe had a rail for the 30 dresses you did not bring but no convenient shelves. To watch TV from the large sofa one had to turn one’s head 90 degrees. The “music” at breakfast was too loud and no one wanted it.
