Located in a beautiful area with easy access to both the Black Forest and the cities, the town is beautiful too. The staff were very friendly and we enjoyed breakfast as well as cold cuts and salads in our balcony with wine from the property. The views were also a plus.

It does not have air conditioning, the room receives the sun all day so we had to open the large door to cool down. It was not a problem during our stay but it might be if temperatures go up during the day and do not really go down at night.

Really nice hotel on the outskirts of the lovely town of Gengenbach. The views from the hotel are beautiful. Room was very large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent - best scrambled eggs ever! I don't know what the restaurant is like as we were there Tuesday and Wednesday and that's the days it's closed. Not to far to walk to town centre.

Would have been good to know restaurant was closed during our stay.

Friendly staff, lovely room, great breakfast. Herr Huber kindly gave us a lift to the train station when we were leaving as it was raining. It is a good walk 15m walk from the town, some of it uphill. We didn’t mind this and enjoyed the walk but you may want to check this.

We found this a very nice hotel in a quiet location with plenty of on site parking. It is only a 15 minute walk to the old town. We enjoyed a great breakfast. The receptionist was very friendly and went out of her way to assist us

There was no Dan or air conditioning and it was extremely hot

Hotel was located very quite and walking distance from the main town. There are a lot of beautiful hiking trails behind the hotel which we used during our stay. The breakfast service was a high standard and staff were very friendly.

We enjoyed everything

Excellent breakfast buffet including eggs cooked to order. Restaurant was of a high standard and fair price. Perfect room: everything in perfect condition, extremely clean, comfy beds, good-sized bathroom, nice balcony with morning sun. Very nice walks straight from the hotel. For dinner, book the restaurant in advance to secure a table.

TV! The hotel claims to have satellite TV but most of the channels weren't working and the rest were in German or Spanish. Only channels in English: BBC World, Sky News and Bloomberg. I don't go on holiday to watch TV, but still I expect that 'satellite' means a range of channels in different languages.

Lovely hotel located in green area of Gengenbach. We had a deluxe room with balcony looking out at greenery. Very pleasant and peaceful. The staff were superb. Very professional and courteous. We were provided with a shuttle pick up from the station which was very kind.

There was nothing I didn’t like. I would say breakfast could have been more varied with more hot options. It is clearly a hotel much favoured by German tourists so perhaps this is the traditional German breakfast!

Nice modernized room / bathroom. Enjoyed the extensive breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very nice.

We had our diner in the lobby which felt a bit forgotten by the staff. The hand out of the main course was scattered.

The staff were excellent. Breakfast was also a winner. We stayed in the Black Forest area to explore and it was amazing.

Ate at the restaurant twice in our 4 night stay and found it to be good, but not great.

Excellent breakfast with wide verity of food. great seating arrangement in the restaurant. parking was awesome. excellent view from the room. conveniently located next to the old town

reception is on the first floor and is slightly confusing when we reach the hotel. otherwise the hotel looks brand new and rooms are very comfortable.
