+ No real air conditioning, but even in mid summer temperatures are rather reasonable in this area (and very cold in the winter!) + Position is not central, may be a problem if you don't have a car/bike

Forsthaus St Hubertus is a little gem. It is our regular stop when we (frequently) visit Lübeck. The city is about 5 miles from the hotel and there is a regular bus route with a stop about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The bus takes you all the way into the centre of the city. Hotel is situated on the edge of a wooded area and rooms are quiet. Breakfast caters for most tastes with a varied selection of food. When arriving, the owner was more than happy to help with carrying the luggage up the stairs. There are 3 excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

No lift. Breakfast in dining room but no restaurant for other meals.

The staff ist very kind and flexible. The bathroom and the bed very comfortable. The breakfest is really good.

The furniture is a little bit old and not really comfortable.

Very good location for accessing city of Lübeck. Good free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurants in the vicinity (accessible by foot or car). Müggenbusch restaurant was recommended by the owner. This is ½hour walk through beautiful forest path or by direct door to door access by car. Bus stop with excellent service for Lübeck is within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.

No air conditioning although there was a fan in the room. (We were there during a very hot spell in June.)

It’s a small family hotel that meets all the necessary requirements that are important to us when traveling: comfortable beds, quiet rooms, good shower and clean bathroom, good breakfast. We travelled in the summer and there were loads of mosquitos in the surroundings as it is a very green area BUT not a single mosquito could get into the room thanks to the mosquito nets on the windows. Very thoughtful detail that definitely made our stay much nicer as it was quite warm, so kind of necessary to have the windows open. We would definitely go back!

A bit outdated room but still well kept

Very easy late-night check in. We needed a comfortable spot for our family to sleep after a late ferry arrival, and we had a comfortable stay here.

The breakfast was very delicious and with lots of option. The room was clean and comfortable. It is very easy to get there from Lübeck, and to go to the airport.
