Booked a room with a view and was not disappointed. The Fraueninsel (island) was a welcome sight from my balcony. (The hotel has a 24/7 "live" camera on YouTube! It's basically the same view I had from my room. I go to YT to enjoy the view in all times/season.) The bathroom was size of my living room at home. Spacious. WiFi worked as advertised. Excellent tourist information (English/German). The breakfast buffet was incredible. It was holiday season and quite busy, but you wouldn't know it from the peace and quiet. Just a few minutes' walk to the lake and the boat/ferry to the island. Hot water was almost instant. BIG plus. TBH there are a few hotels/pensions a bit closer to the lake if you want an unobstructed view. However, if you book the rooms with a balcony, you get a good view. Book *early* if you want to get those rooms, though!

Reception for check-in is a one-way driveway. Cannot pass through. Must back into traffic. Nowhere near a game-changer, but the toilet bowl / basin itself was filthy. Everything else, though, was spic-and-span.

Fabulous location for the villa panorama rooms with uninterrupted view of the lake. Big Terrace with sunlounger and lawn in front. Large room, excellently furnished, very comfortable 4 poster bed, large bathroom with excellent, walk in shower and radio. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of food and seating areas. The small restaurant "Überfahrt" serves excellent lunch and dinner and has a wide choice, in good weather guests can sit on the 1st floor large Hotel terrace overlooking the lake, but need to carry their food upstairs themselves (?) Parking arrangements very good, once you understand the detailed instructions. Very welcoming and always friendly staff. Everything exceptionally clean.

The reception on our arrival was good and concise. We got all the info needed for a pleasant stay. I like the parking area, which is close and secure. The room had an astonishing view from the balcony. The beds were very comfortable both for me, as ai like a hard bed and for my wife who likes soft matrasses. The radio in the bathroom was a nice to have.

The view and the room space was good. The staff was really nice. Breakfast is also very good. Rooms are spacious!

You won't find any staff member after 4 pm. So if you need something you've to contact them via your personal phone. Also, if you're planning to go there via public transport then I would say it's difficult. Better to go via your own car.

From the outside this looks like an old style German hotel. Which I guess it is. The room was very impressive, no nonsense solid, wood is prominent, warm and dry and clean. Very modern bathroom. Breakfast was fine. Excellent parking.

Friendly staff, free parking, comfortable rooms and outstanding location. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had, too. Definitely want to come back one day!

Finding parking was somewhat confusing at first, but the instructions are provided.

The location is beautiful. The view from the junior suite is splendid. The ferry to the other islands is barely a 5 minute walk and even the boat rentals are right next door. We went there for a relaxed vacation and 3 days 2 nights weren't enough...wish we would have stayed longer.

The cleanliness could have been updated before our check in itself. The room was extremely clean, no doubt, but there were cobwebs in our balcony which were cleaned once we requested the staff.

Lovely, comfortable rooms with balconies. Fabulous location, we loved the lakeside settlement of Gstadt on Chiemsee. Breakfast buffet was OK, food was nothing special, but eating on the terrace with a lakeside view was special. There was no dinner served by the Hotel, but the adjacent restaurant was good and allowed us to eat on the Hotel terrace.

Bathrooms were small with cramped shower cubical. There was very little staff service but we arrived on a Sunday.

Beautiful location with views of the lake, Fraueninsel, and mountains. Excellent location for going to Herren Chiemsee and the Christmas Market on the Fraueninsel. Short walk to the ferry and the restaurants in the village. No where near as many people traveling from Gstadt compared to Prien. Very quiet and uncrowded. The hotel breakfast was phenomenal; so many choices.

The check in time, it is weird that reception does close at 4 pm as many guests arrive after that time. As well 10 am for a check out is early as breakfast does finish at 10 only. But overall stay was ok
