The room was excellent and really good quality. It was private and decent sized with a great bathroom. I was actually sad to be leaving so soon because I really enjoyed my stay. The staff member I spoke to on the phone was also extremely helpful and improved my experience.

The main issue was I was a foreigner that arrived at the hotel late at night. There wasn't very clear signage, but more importantly not much information on the steps that needed to be completed to actually access the room. It was only when talking to a bystander that I realized I had to call a particular number to check in, and only with the person's help on the phone was I able to figure out how to get into the hotel. A bit more guidance or clarification (perhaps even in an initial email before check in or with clearer signs) would be really helpful.

The place was a nice, clean, big size, comfortable bed. The owner was super helpful. Great communication. The surroundings were also pretty lovely with the lake and trees. A short walk to town, and a quick drive to the train station where you can leave your car and take a 20min train to Cologne.

Unfortunately, the wifi was not working. It was only in some common areas. The owner offered me to work from their office, which was very nice of her

I had booked and paid the room in advance. The booking was confirmed, but there was no room available when I arrived and no explanation. I was just advised to find another place to stay.
