We just stayed one night to break up the drive from the Black forest to Munich. Hotel was easy to find with good on-site parking options. Owners/staff very friendly, the young chef speaks English. He was very accommodating and got up early to arrange our breakfast as we needed to leave early in the morning. Great beers and the food was SO GOOD (both breakfast and dinner). The restaurant seemed popular with locals at dinner time. Room clean and comfortable.

Some drainage issues with the shower.

Great place to stay for an early flight out of Memmingen. Good dinner and breakfast in the AM. The breakfast room is lovely. If your flight is too early they will deliver a go bag to your door before you depart.

I see SCHARTZER ADLER as a small hotel in rural ambience that is around 6 km from Memmingen Airport . the hotel has a nice and not expensive restaurant . Parking on place . the staff was correct We appreciate they provided us some sandwiches in a box as we left very early .

Nice spacious room with nice bathroom. Outside deck was a plus as was friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

Location - not very easy to find. Doesn’t open until 5:00 PM.

Friendly and very welcoming host. Nice and clean room. We had to leave before the regular breakfast time, so the host left a bag with our breakfast in front of our room. You don't get this kind of service very often anymore.

There was no hair drier in our room.

This place was perfect for a quick stopover on our road trip. The room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast was nice. Neighbourhood was nice and quiet.

We frequented this establishment 40 years ago. The staff has changed but the service and food remain the same - excellent!

Great overnight stay for an early morning flight. Breakfast was included and delivered to our door to take with us. Dinner was lovely in the dining room.

Very quiet. Clean and practical rooms with a nice terrace for watching the sunset. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff friendly and helpful.
