Beautiful old hotel with excellent location and service. Special thanks to Ms. Sandy Bergerhoff，for her thoughtfully preparing our check-in even before our arrival. She gave us the key for our room N0. 41 when we arrived. Special thanks also to Ali who kindly helped us to take our 4 pieces of luggage directly into our room. The reception and housekeeping are very helpful and kind. Parking is very good also. We really enjoyed our stay in Hotel Zur Goldenen Sonne. We would be happy to come back again!

Breakfast could be better

Staff was a bit reserved. Breakfast was 7/10. If you stay in an upper floor you have to Schlepp your luggage up as the older building of course does not seem to have an elevator. Location is great right in the old town on a square. We arrived during a downpour and the parking lot behind the building was muddy and the entrance walkway wet with puddles. Rooms were good considering this is a very old building with a lot of character.

Breakfast. Atmosphere.

Lovely old style hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Helped carry my case upstairs. Very good breakfast facilities and food service. Restaurant and bar on site in the afternoon and evenings. Fantastic beer garden. Cost effective accommodation. Plenty of power points to recharge tablets and phones.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Limited availability of this product outside breakfast. Limited evening restaurant menu.

Of course, the location is great / amazing view. I loved the firm bed and the size of the room. The bathroom was great (although water everywhere after I showered). Oddly enough, i also loved the new hair dryer.

Remember ear plugs! The morning can get very loud with traffic (my room was facing the main entrance and road). Depending on the time of year, bring a sleep mask as it was bright in the room at 4:30 am.

The hotel was truly beautiful and everything was just as I expected. The information provided before check-in was very helpful and well-organized. It was a wonderful stay overall. I was traveling for business, and I found the city to be charming and delightful just like the hotel itself. I will definitely come back with my family to enjoy this stylish and charismatic hotel while exploring this lovely city again :)))

The room was big, nicely furnished including seating, a mini fridge, beautiful armoir, and we absolutely loved the little electric fireplace! The breakfast staff were very professional and attentive and the dining room was decorated so nicely!

The pillows were tired and the mattress was extremely hard.

The room was comfortable and very well located. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was more than adequate and well presented with the possibility of eating outside in the sheltered courtyard.

We felt very comfortable there and there was nothing we did not like.

We arrived a little early and duty receptionist enabled us to park vehicle and store cycles. Manager was really helpful in dealing with our requests. Good breakfast. This was my second stay at the hotel. I will come again.

We needed a stop over for our drive from Poland to Belgium and this was the most gorgeous little place! Hotel was lovely, easy to find, had a beautiful little courtyard in the middle - staff were lovely as well!

I liked the cosyness of the whole room. It felt like a bedroom in someone's house. The view was amazing and the whole room itself was neat.

I didnt liked how small the windows were, but thats something you cannot do anything about. Also the breakfast was a bit less.
