Location was great - convenient to the center of town and also to the train station. The hotel bar had lovely seating areas. It was nice that a fan was provided in our room since it was on the top level -- it had lovely views out the small windows. The hotel had some spa facilities, even though we did not take advantage of them. Staff was friendly and attentive. Decor in the common areas was nice. They had done a decent job of converting the former castle into a hotel. I loved the daily "Schlosspost" on tables in the breakfast room that gave the weather forecast, a little history of the hotel, and ideas for things to do in the area.

The room was very basic considering it was sold as a premium "Castle Room". The breakfast was very basic and kept running out of key things -- bowls, yogurt, fruit, coffee cups. The breakfast area seemed understaffed.

This property is in a great location , the breakfast layout was very good ,I like that it had a bar for evenings , room we had was large with agreat view

the property needs love , rooms very bland for historic building, the lack of a restaurant when they offered a great breakfast. Staff were often rude and there was no service of the rooms we had to hunt down the service trolly for coffee and tea. Towels very worn , hint get fresh towels from the sauna they are much nicer

Good points: - Clean - Family friendly - Spacious room (Deluxe) - Excellent location - Comfortable bed - Baby bed with a nice mattress (not just the camping bed thin mattress) - Really good coffee

Negative points: - The curtains are not blocking out the light, so at 05:30 AM the room is not dark anymore- and the kids are up - Very limited lamp light in the room (even when all the lights are turned on - it's still dark. - Breakfast is very basic

Historic building that had been well-adapted for modern use. Excellent location on edge of World Heritage area. Good breakfast

Longer walk than expected from the station. Not much open on Saturday afternoon - but that is German law and not capable of influence by the hotel!

Staff were incredibly nice. The schloss room was beautiful and comfortable. Had a great sleep here. Breakfast plentiful and varied in a nice dining room. The hotel newsletter with weather forecast at breakfast was a nice touch. Very tasteful and relaxing decor in the room and public areas.

The hotel location was in the centre so excellent for both daytime and night time activities, The hotel its self was clean friendly and with plenty of amenities, the breakfast buffet catered for all tastes and was not in short supply of of anything.

Parking was very limited and and the route to the hotel its self was a bit tricky even with navigation, as there were many one way streets and roads blocked off and access to pedestrians only, this should not put people off though.

Centrally located with easy access by foot to the whole town. Big plus on sauna facilities and good breakfast.

Room was pretty warm and there wasn’t any way to regulate the temperature.

Great stay at a 500-years old hotel in the heart of the city. Very instagrammable! Also the breakfast options were decent and the room used was classic. Thank You for upgrading us to a suite although we only asked for a Deluxe Room!

It was not the best season to stay in June because it was too hot. Without a fan or air-conditioning, sleeping at night was a little unbearable at 30 degrees Celsius.
