Nearish to the highway on/off, but quiet. Small walking lake right out front is super. Room was clean, though hallway smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was decent, w a surprising number of guests, as when you show up, the facade makes it look abandoned.

Dated & isolated/overgrown front area; direction to park under the first floor was a bit odd and made me wonder if they’re concerned re break-ins, or just don’t own/reserve the big lots? Bathroom grout etc could use a re-do.

This hotel is a perfectly preserved 1990s time capsule but don’t let that put you off. The staff are completely wonderful and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Yes the decor and furnishings are mostly old but are in perfect condition. The breakfast is excellent and although the restaurant is closed for dinner, the tennis club next door has a welcoming Italian restaurant with good food at fair prices. The hotel is conveniently located if you’re passing on the Autobahn and in June 2025 we paid only £83 for a twin room including breakfast. A bargain in my opinion.

Nice room and bed, very clean. Very cheap breakfast - constantly refilled by someone - so great service. Staff very friendly. Overall, nice atmosphere, nice view from dining room, nice carpet everywhere so good feeling.

Pillow is extremily thin - need a second/extra pillow or thicker pillow. Definitely something to improve. I will request extra pillow next time I come for sure. Any jam in a big pot would be better quality that the jam in individual plastic closed container and most likely even more economic.

Spacious room, good beds, clean bathroom, plenty of parking space partly covered. We paid 10 euro for our cat. The furniture is old fashioned, but certainly not worn. Quite charming, actually! Good place for an overnight stay.

Nothing. It may be confusing that the restaurant is closed, though this is clearly stated at the website, because the hotel still calls itself hotel-restaurant.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a very good buffet. Beds are comfy, just would have liked an extra pillow.

It is not that I did not like it, but it seems the property is still the same as 25 years ago. Everything is very clean and functioning, but it feels a little bit like a museum.

Especially awesome as it wonderful backyard with a lake and green trail - We traveled with our dog which made the location perfect for us personally. But also a great spot with kids. The lake even has a dog swimming area. The building is of Old style classic style but rather well maintained. The hotel has two entrances: Main and one back entry from the parking lot. Friendly reception staff who gave us clear instructions on the second entry as this was often mentioned in other reviews - I can confirm that we had no issues with that or with any smoking-related smells- so they certainly took the feedback on that and also made some renovations to improve the overall state. The room though basic was clean, beds are older so not entirely comfy but not as bad especially if it’s for short stays. Did not opt for breakfast, so cannot comment on that; though the reception staff asked us to inform the prior in case we wanted to have breakfast - as it’s „on demand“. Unfortunately, restaurant with the lake side view seems to permanently closed and this is clearly mentioned on the listing. However if it was open, this would have been wonderful.

A great place for dogs thanks to the garden. And the Italian restaurant in the garden is excellent.

We heared noise from the highway all night, it was a very warm night so we couldn't close the window. When closed you hardly hear the highway.

Room is spacious and clean, and beds are comfortable. We came after the reception was closed but we got message with all the info regarding check in and it was easy. Breakfast was delicious.

Last minute booking, excellent room, safe parking, and awesome restaurant on property. Beautiful grounds. Very helpful gentleman at check in answered questions, retrieved extra pillows, and personally assisted with parking.

Missed a kettle in my room for coffee and tea. But lovely restaurant downstairs.

Easy access on our trip north. Very easy check-in also outside hours.

A bit old fashioned, but clean, functional and comfortable. Great value for money.
