Just driving into the car park it gave the feeling of a super pick on our tour. Check in was excellent, room just lovely (large, modern and very comfortable). Restaurant was excellent with food and service of the highest quality. First night we had dinner outside (all undercover, well lit and just lovely setting and atmosphere with staff dressed in traditional costumes; food was superb), second was indoors due to wet weather but again just lovely with staff in traditional dress, same quality food; perfect. Breakfast was superbly laid out and easy to select from numerous enticing options. Just two nights but top quality ones. We were aware when booking that the hotel is not situated in a city but made for a perfect location on a long tour to relax and enjoy. Heidelberg is a relatively short drive for us and a great place to visit; very enjoyable day spent there before returning to the hotel. We will return.

Really nothing not to like.

Super friendly staff. We called 1 hr before arrive for a last minute room. Upon arrival 2 cots were already placed in the (large!) room for our 2 babies, amazing! They could go to sleep immediately. Nice facilities with restaurant, large range of breakfast options, and the swimming pool + wellness. Parking was super easy too.

No major things Some of the furniture - like a chair in the sitting area - could get a replacement. All looks fine but it’s probably there for a while and heavily used.

The room was spacious and well appointed with towels and robes for use when visiting the swimming pool. The pool and sauna area was very nice as was the rooftop terrace. The hotel is incredibly well known and popular locally so even on what some would consider a quiet weekday night you must book a table if you want to eat in the restaurant. We didn't but the staff managed to sort a table after 30mins. The food and service is excellent and the restaurant areas well designed (on a nice night eat on the garden terrace). The hotel is in a quiet town but is easily accessible from the motorway and well situated if you are visiting the area. We stayed one night but would have happily stayed longer if doing other things in the area. Breakfast is a good euro selection with scrambled eggs / bacon joined by sausage and pork patties plus the usual salad, cheeses, breads, spreads and savoury offerings.

Other than adding a kettle or coffee facilities to the room which I know can be hit and miss in Europe there is nothing that needs to change.

The hotel had a lot of options for drinks and food. The bar and the restaurant was very good. Breakfast had a lot of options. The location was good access to the business meeting location for next day. The room was clean and comfortable.

The room locations within the hotel were a bit of a maze. The room was relatively small, but comfortable. I only stayed for 1 night. If I had to stay for few nights, it would have felt too small.

This is a lovely hotel, in a quiet location, if we were to stay in this area again we would definitely choose this hotel. Excellent restaurant but everything else excellent.

Only thing I could possibly say, was that the quilts on the bed were too thick/warm for the time of year.

An Old but Gold retreat in the heart of an traditional German village... This Hotel and restaurant has kept its traditional authentic style and appearance with a fusion of new and modern. Affordable luxury, I've stayed 4 times while traveling and looking forward to the 5th..

Comfortable room and bed. Friendly staff. Fantastic breakfasts, fresh food served with a smile. Great location for exploring Heidelberg and the surrounding area

The indoor pool was so very cold with a steep ladder which made it difficult to access if you are not fully mobile. Sauna and surrounding facilities were good though.

The room was spacious and comfortable, also wonderfully cool in a heatwave. The food was excellent. We had a very enjoyable evening meal and the breakfast was superb. The staff were at all times friendly and attentive.

Nice location close to SAP if drive by car, clean room with airco, sauna and pool available, quite good breakfast. It seems that they have a very popular restaurant too, but didn't have chance to try it.

Unfortunately there was no wifi in the room. While it was available somewhere on the floor - it was not in the room - I had to use mobile internet instead.

It's a very nice property with typical German styling. The rooms were big, clean and comfortable and the staff was amazing.

It could get a bit loud when people were leaving from a restaurant and the rooms overlook the parking lot.
