The place, very convenient to make a stopover when doing a long trip. The building, classical and well preserved/ maintained to be in comfort surrounded by a well kept structure and facilities. Nice back garden to relax in a natural environment.

Shortage of staff; they were VERY POLITE, HELPFUL AND DOING THEIR BEST but looked overstretched on the peak hours of breakfast --some trays were almost empty and it was only one lady quickly trying to do all of it-- and also the checkout had customers queuing. So, staff 10/10; Management: get at least another pair of hands.

Clean, updated modern room and bathroom with plenty of space for the 3 of us. Easily reached just off the motorway for a break in the journey. Friendly staff. Some toys for a play room for the young children. Tea and coffee making facilities and seating area

Noise from coach party directly outside the window. The coach engine left running late in the evening for a long period of time and then loud chatter outside early in the morning as they loaded again. Maybe the hotel could monitor this, and take into consideration their other guests more, not just the large booking of the coach. Breakfast choice ok but many options nearly empty, and that was early in the sitting. Warm room, where you didn't want the windows open at night due to noise of road. They missed the opportunity when renovating to make it perfect with air-co.

Ideal hotel for a stop over when travelling between south Netherlands to Denmark. We used the hotel on the way to, and the back. We were allocated the recently renovated rooms which are very comfortable for a stop over, and have a big new bathroom with a big walk-in shower. The breakfast was super, offering all you need for a substantial start of the day. On the Sunday, the restaurant was closed, but we were offered a list of numerous restaurants just walking distance away. The hotel is just 500 mtrs off the highway and when off to Denmark, you can choose to go west of Hamburg or east, whichever has your preference.

Stopped here for a break from driving and really pleased we did. Super friendly and helpful staff, a great breakfast, and lovely comfy beds for a refreshing night's sleep. Plenty of space for parking too, and if you're too late for dinner at the hotel, there's a decent pizza place a few minutes walk open late.

I know it's standard for German television to dub non-German language shows and movies rather than use subtitles, but it's still a bit annoying that hotels don't seem to offer much else either.

The hotel is cozy, and well connected by car. The town is nice, with a nice church and many local businesses. The room was nice and modern, with nothing feeling like it was missing.

The door to the bathoom was made of glass, and while it was obscured it still meant that light would come through. So anyone waking up in the night to use the bathroom will wake up everyone else with the blinding light

Breakfast is excellent - however my partner said the coffee was not very good. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food in the restaurant was very good - freshly cooked with fresh ingredients - and the prices are reasonable. The room was spacious and clean.

The bed was very hard (however not as hard as in another room we previously stayed in, where it prevented you from sleeping) and very squeeky - think the whole bed including mattress needs replacing, or maybe just add a softer mattress topper. The curtains in the room were very thin, so as soon as the sun came up, the room was very bright. They should be replaced with proper blackout curtains.

Well run family hotel. Staff very welcoming. Everywhere is spotlessly clean; the rooms are fine, although very different in size - this was our 3. or 4. stay and we have had very different rooms. The restaurant is very good, with delicious local food. Perfect breakfast.

The only minus: the pillows are not very good, which I found out, as I has forgotten my own pillow!!

I was a bit reluctant in booking this place after reading the reviews mentioning the staff but everything was exceptional. Great staff, very nice and quiet location and a clean room. Parking was also possible in the hotel's parking lot with enough free spots when we visited. To top it off, the restaurant was a 10/10.

It’s an older hotel, but very clean and well maintained. Decent and it has what you need for a stay over. The dinner was very good as well.

I believe the hotel could be doing better by upgrading the facilities a bit. Also with the breakfast a few more options, and a few more upgrades would make it a 9-10.

Very conveniently located and comfortable family owned hotel. Renovated rooms are beautiful with the best rainshower. Nice restaurant with classic German menu options. Very good breakfast.

We were there on one of the hottest days of the year and then you miss air conditioning. We’ve stayed before, also during summer and with “normal” temperatures it is not an issue.
