restaurant closed on a Sunday !!! yes ! really ! UNBELIEVABLE ! they take your booking and then leave you without food on a Sunday ! you pay to stay at a hotel with a restaurant ! I'm a frequent traveller and have stayed at many hotels but I've never had this before ! how can you take in guests and not provide them with food ?? and there are very few places to eat nearby , ( not that you should have to ! ) , and what places there are usually fully booked ! as I said , staff are great but management obviously don't have a clue how to run a hotel !

It was the perfect place to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary. The staff was friendly and professional and couldn't have done more for us. The location was rustic and romantic. The room was stunning, and we had a mini balcony with a view of the Rhein.

Sadly, at the time of our visit, the Restaurant was closed, so we couldn't dine there for our evening meal. However, there were other options in the close vicinity. We did have a buffet for breakfast in the morning, and then we were able to take in the beautiful views from the dining room. The Coffee was a bit on the weak side.

When I’ve booked the room hotel send me info that restaurant is closed, I would prefer this information to know before booking with obligation to pay for room…There was list with nearby restaurants at the reception with opening times, which was great, but I think hotel should inform people before booking, that restaurant is closed.

In our suite super view on the Rhein. Good restaurant with lovely staff.

Our suite furniture primitive and scarce. Bed two hard mattresses pushed together, uncomfortable. Bathroom seriously outdated, no walk in shower, we had to stand in a slippery narrow bathtub. Small thin towels. Minibar not replenished.

Really nice place to stay and had great food for breakfast and in the restaurant. Getting to see the Rhine from my room was very nice and it seemed that most of the rooms had a view. It's a nice place to stay. I was solo traveling, but it definitely seems more intimate, so I would recommend this for couples traveling.

The beds are ok, but not the most comfortable, and it does get quite warm in the rooms. Something to keep in mind if you are driving to the hotel is that they are down a very narrow 1 car wide street, so be cautious driving down. There is parking but it's a little difficult to navigate.

The hotel is beautifully situated overlooking the river , and our room was very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast too, and a nice place to walk

Unfortunately the restaurant and most others in the town were closed on a Monday evening in November. The lady at the desk was unable to direct us anywhere. And the parking was extra, and so was the dog.

Staff were very helpful and very friendly. Beds were comfy. Lovely garden where we enjoyed an amazing meal - the food quality was superb: though it is higher price than typical “imbiss stube”, it is worth it for excellent restaurant food. Breakfast was a good quality buffet. Straight from the hotel was easy access to the Rhine promenade and a cooler evening walk. Our room had a Rhine view as well.

If we were super picky there might be some little things, but overall we were very happy.

The town in which hotel is located is really picturesque and has few bars and restaurants you can eat at if you don fancy eating at the hotel. Hotel is located at the bank of river Rhine which is great as you can walk alongside the river. Gentleman at the reception desk was really helpful at the time of the checkin. Overall lovely hotel.

It would be nice to have more varsity of food at breakfast and as a guests of the hotel it was not great that we had to pay for parking.

One morning we went down to the breakfastroom, and did find a table, overlooking the Rhein (only 2 tables for 2 pers available overlooking the Rhein). After approx 25 min the waiter starts to remove the plaits, even though we did not have left the table, a very rude behavior. Maybe he wants the table for others, who tips him generously?

The build quality of the hotel is astounding. I believe new operators have just taken over and have temporarily auspended the famous restaurant. When that is back it could well be a very very intesting place again.
