Amazing staff, very friendly, patient and respectful. Everyone spoke English freely. Location of the hotel is fantastic, right by the river, ferry and tram stations right in front and train station easily reachable on foot within 10-15 minutes. Renting a bike from the front desk was quick, easy and affordable. Our room was quite large, beds clean and comfortable, all advertised amenities working, beautiful Rhinestone view to wake up to (we booked standard family room, no upgrades). Bathroom setup also really convenient, with enough counter space by the sink and a large walk-in shower with fancy buttons for turning on/off and adjusting temperature - surprisingly useful feature. Breakfast buffet turned out to be such a valuable addition, we fueled up on scrambled and fried eggs, smoked salmon, fruits and veggies, fresh bread and tea and coffee every single day. A juicer machine was fun to operate, plus I think even champagne was included, which gets you in the vacation mood even quicker!

Pool is too cold to stay in it comfortably. Kids played for about an hour, but adults could not stay more than a few minutes. A few degrees warmer would have been much appreciated! Everyone smoking everywhere is an awful part of visiting Europe from the US. People constantly huffing and puffing outside any entrance, unfortunately even at this wonderful hotel, which is such a disgrace. Although the restaurant had a “no smoking” sign at every table, any time we tried to enjoy a meal out on the terrace, at least one customer had a cigarette lit and we had to run back inside immediately. Disappointing that the rules are scarce and not enforced properly.

I loved the room, it was clean and organized. The breakfast was very good, with freshly made juices and smoothies. The view from the place was perfect. The service was excellent.

The pool was very cold, even though they said the water was 27 degrees. I got in anyway, plucked up the courage and took a shower in cold water, but I prefer warmer water. I took a shower at my room with water at 38 degrees, and it was ideal. Have you ever thought about if the shower was also at 27 degrees like the pool? It would be impossible to take a shower, right?

Everything went smoothly, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was nice with a beautiful view of The Rhine. They encourage you to opt out of the room cleaning service, and they give you a little present for doing so, something I thought was very nice. The hotel parking garage was convenient and easy to use, with quick access to the hotel elevator. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a lot of options. The hotel bar was also very good, with great service and even better drinks. The lobby and the restaurant were very beautifully decorated for Christmas. We stayed there during Saint Nicholas Day, and we were gifted a cute chocolate at the breakfast buffet. It was a very nice surprise. Would highly recommend this hotel, it is a great choice for visiting Königstwinter or the nearby cities of Bonn, Köln etc.

We stayed here in December as we visited Bonn and some of the Christmas markets. Great location, lovely room with room service and very comfortable beds. Clean and comfortable, we booked one of the cheaper rooms but still had a great view of the Christmas tree at the front of the hotel and the Rhine. The cherry waffles from the restaurant are the best waffles I have ever had. Would definitely stay again.

We actually came here looking for information about my husband’s father and where he was stationed during WWII. We were so lucky to have the office manager as a history buff and the two of them worked on the research together. We loved checking in everyday and sharing our finds. The town of Konigswinter is super sweet and has a lovely promenade by the river right outside the hotel. They had a great buffet for dinner with fresh choices that changed daily. Everyone was kind and we completely enjoyed our time.

Very good location on the river, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, new shower with temperature regulation, nice swimming pool, breakfast is excellent. Staff at the reception was kind. Garage is right under the hotel, and has a lot of space.

There was no kettle/ coffee making facilities in the room. For the price paid, I would have expected it. There were some issues with the coffee machine in the breakfast room, for four days one was not usable, the other was getting stuck every time. There is no garden area to sit outside, except from a little narrow balcony, only accessible if using the restaurant or bar.

Very beautiful room, with perfekt view on the Rhein river. The hotel is located on the riverside, so a walk along the river is any time possible. Confortable bed. Beautiful pool. Very clean. Water for free on the table and Haribo for euch visitor on the bedside table. Nice shower with water falling like rain through the ceiling.

-There was a coffee machine, but not a water boiler for tea. -The water in the pool was not warm, but the atmosphere was very cosy and relaxing. -At the check-out day we were twice from room service disturbed. Once at 9:00, while we were aktually still sleeping and again on 11:45, just before we leave the room, so as the room to be cleaned, although the given check-out time was 12:00. They were very polite, but it is still a bit annoying, especially for a room that costs around 200€/night.

We really loved the small touches for the kids - gummy bears in the room, and a welcome pack with a penguin washcloth and kids shower gel. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was ideal, by the beautiful waterfront and right near the main streets. We would love to return one day!

The only thing was that the coffee machine in our room was not refilled - e.g., there were no coffee mugs, milk, or caffeinated pods (only decaf). I think this was a small oversight by the cleaning staff, but no big deal as we could easily get more supplies from the front desk!

The staffs were very all very friendly and helpful. Especially the ones at the reception. Breakfast was excellent, lots of options and very well prepared with lots of sitting. We had to sit om the terrace as no dogs are allowed inside the restaurant. It worked for us since weather was warm enough and we had great view of the Rhein. Location was central and we are in the old town in less than 5 mins. I would recommend this hotel if you travel with family or dog.

Not really. Only a pity that dogs are not allowed inside the restaurants, otherwise would try the dinner there.

The music in the pianobar was fantastic. My compliments to the pianoplayer, NENAD MANDIC, very nice person and can play any music you like.

We could not reserve, as a guest, for the restaurant on first and second Christmas day. There were more people booked in, in the hotel, as there were places in the restaurant.
