What a magnificent stay. The welcome was outstanding with detailed information both about the hotel and the town. I was shown how the key fob worked to gain entry to the building and was taken in person to my room. It was explained to me what I had to make a point of seeing in the town and what the options were for dinner in the evening. It was also explained to me that the breakfast would be "meat-free" - and what a breakfast it was. "Superb" does not come close. The range of items freshly prepared for each individual guest was amazing and there were other items beyond the individually prepared ones. Parking in Königswinter is quickest with the EasyPark app but the availability of a parking permit from the hotel made parking so much easier and took away the need to call up the app in the morning to book more time.

There was nothing at all that could have been better.

Das Hotel Krone is conveniently located in the center of Königswinter, just steps away from the Rhein as well as the railway to Drachenfels. The owner greets you upon arrival and provides a very smooth and professional check in experience. If you’re staying here, you HAVE to try their vegetarian breakfast. Every item is carefully thought out and super delicious. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it. They don’t have parking on site but for 5 EUR / day, you’ll get a pass to park nearby.

I wish the breakfast was just a bit more affordable so that more people could experience how delicious it is.

Great location for both Königswinter and easily visiting Bonn city by tram. The room was lovely and comfortable, the ensuite bathroom, modern and fresh. The staff did a great job of keeping our room cool for our arrival on one of their hottest ever days, as there's no air-con. The breakfast was an event! It was almost entirely plant-based (cheese and eggs available too) and dished up like an Afternoon Tea. Deliciously different - we loved it!

We can't fault this hotel. We would mention that the breakfast won't meet 'Traditionalist' expectations, but we very much enjoyed ours.

The hotel was right in the centre of the village, opposite a wonderful Italian restaurant. It was very clean and had well appointed rooms. It also had a very impressive German breakfast, with full waiter service and a variety of dishes. Staff were lovely throughout, from our check in to the breakfast service, and everyone spoke English.

We were at the back of the hotel, so the view wasn't great. In general, because it is in the village centre, no rooms have a view of the Rhine, but it's only a five or ten minute walk to the river.

The after business hour instructions were excellent. Very detailed and thought out. The room windows were open and the fans at high speed were a nice personal touch. The entire staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.

There was nothing we didn't like, only one recommendation. For visitors checking in after hours, a parking pass could be placed in the room with instructions.

Very nice small hotel not far from Bonn right near Reihn river. Clean and renovated rooms. Breakfast was excellent. It suits for the stay to see Bonn and surroundings, only 2 stops by train from the central station and you can also take ferry as attractions when getting to the rail station ( which is much quicker than by car)

Everything was great

Great location on the Rhine, fantastic breakfast, just like a fine restaurant. Easy access to Schloss Drachenburg, a definite must see. The rack railway access made it just that much more special. The town of Konigswinter is very nice and our hotel was able to recommend a great Italian restaurant for dinner. Parking was available about 100m away in a public parking area.

It was a little difficult to get to as the GPS suggested we could drive to the front door but that is not the case, you have to park about 100m away and walk in. No real problem with that, just not expected.

Very near the River Rhine. Walk down to the river. Many bars and restaurants alongside the river. Very picturesque. Hotel: staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Given free breakfast as it was my birthday. Breakfast very sumptuous with local specialities. Our heavy suitcases were carried to and from our room for us.

The breakfast is amazing, so is the staff serving the breakfast. It's vegan only but with a variety of options. I wasn't even able to taste everything they provide. They do also cater for allergies and intolerances such as soy or oats and prepare many things themselves. Just let them know in advance. Simply put -- jummy. It's a 30 min hike up to the Drachenfels and just a few minutes to either regional transport or tram.

They didn't have a walk-in shower in my room.

The central location was perfect for our visit -not far from the river, the Drachenfels railway and museum. Breakfast was served at table and was beautifully presented. It contained a variety of tasty dishes including plant based products.
