Breakfast was excellent! The service was friendly and responsive. The choices for the buffet were well presented, tasteful, and the view was beautiful. Our corner room with a view of the Rhein was perfect. When we return we will request the same room, with maybe one floor up, as we were on the first floor. The Bier Garten was fun with good patio food for the football game. The front desk staff could not have been more understanding for English speaking Americans. The location is perfect if you want peaceful evenings with a river view and the fun and hustle of Bonn. If you enjoy a bike ride or a jog along the river, this place has it all. We would definitely recommend this property!

This hotel is located by the Rhine river so it is excellent location to relax, to go for a walk or for a run along the river. The room was spacious and very clean. We had a room with partial view to the river which was great. Then we got lucky enough to a move to a suite with a balcony and full view to the river and that room/ suite was even more beautiful. ( the hotel was fully booked and we could have the suite only a two days after our arrival) The staff is incredible helpful. The breakfast has a great selection of food. The beergarten of the hotel is along the river as well. It has good beer/ good food selection and two nice screens to watch the Euro Cup🙂

Everything was great

Wonderful 'grand' hotel with a long history and a lot of traditional glamour. The room was really large and the bed was very good. The reception staff made you feel welcome. Very quiet location and that it is right next to the Rhine is terrific. Super easy to rent a bike at the hotel for 10 EUR / day, I did everything on the bike! The value for money was good, I thought.

The 'ordinary' coffee in the morning was terrible, but I ordered specialty coffee (cappuccino) which was good. But it felt a bit as if they raised their eyebrows on this. I didn't dare to try the restaurant, as it has pretty mediocre Google reviews (even the receptionist recommended a different restaurant nearby :-)) I went to the sauna for free which, as they don't have one themselves, was in a different club, but that was quite a disappointment - it was pretty far (by bike) and there was effectively only one sauna crammed with elderly men. Nice though that they packed a complete sauna bag for me!

The hotel was easy to find, has an amazing location and a very friendly staff. It's also very interesting to learn about the history of this house and a copy of the book "Das weiße Haus am Rhein" was available in the room which I was really happy about. The beds were really comfortable. We didn't get a chance to sit outside since the weather wasn't that good yet but I imagine this location to be even more amazing in summer. But still, having breakfast here with such a beautiful view of the Rhein was nonetheless spectacular. Highly recommend.

Breakfast could have had more vegan and gluten-free options but this is really just a tiny thing and I don't expect this anyway. And if that's all there is to say about what could have been better, that says a lot about the excellence of this hotel.

The hotel is located in a nice suburb of Bonn, right on the river Rhine so there is a beautiful view from the breakfast room and from the rooms facing the water. There are some public transport stations nearby, but the main train/tram station connecting to the city is a bit far. The room (double) and bathroom were clean and spacious. The staff was always nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with many options for cold and hot foods. Although it is an old building, it is well maintained and the furniture is quite modern. I appreciated the good availability of power sockets throughout the room and close to the bed.

The evening I stayed there they were preparing the restaurant for some event and, even though the hotel bar was open, most of the time there was nobody there to order from.

Beautiful location on the borders of the Rhein. Close to Bonn city centre(by car 15 minutes), Koningswinter and Schloss Drachenfels. Friendly, correct staff at reception and we had a nice spacious room with a water bowl for our dog. You can park in front of the hotel or in the underground carpark.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic and we didnt knew if we had to wait to be seated, also there werent enough tables for the breakfast guests. Later on guests could also use the concert room for breakfast so that was solved professionally.

The hotel is a bit dated My room had a view on an internal wall As I was just staying for one night and for business purposes it wasn't an issue. However it would have been if it had been a leisure trip with my family

The location was top notch. Right on the Rhein river in a nice area.

The staff could have been a bit more attentive. Upon arrival we were not offered any help with our bags up the stairs in the entrance. The carpet throughout the hotel looked like it hadn’t been updated since the 1950s.

This is a traditional hotel with a turn-of-the-century vibe. It's directly on the bank of Rheine. Even if your room has a view only to the inner courtyard, you can enjoy the panorama from the restaurant. I found the bed very comfortable. Two pillows of different size are given so that you can decide which one suits you the best. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast is awesome, wide selection of quality food in buffet stile.

The showerhead is definitely overzealous in saving water, which makes showering longer and less pleasant. When checking out, their POS terminal refused my Visa Debit card, so I had to pay with Google Wallet instead. Later I received an email from my bank that the transaction was declined because the merchant doesn't comply with the PSD2 regulation.

Basically everything was superb. This is the very best hotel in the area. Bonn is around the corner, as is the Eiffel region. So the location, the rooms and especially our suite, the staff, its room service, the atmosphere in the hotel, the great view over the river Rhein, the breakfast buffet, the beergarten next door, as well as dinner at night, whatever, it's great. I am really very positive; this hotel is (with some in Asia, NYC and Spain) in my worldwide top 5.
