The location next to the rhine, ferry to Konigswinter and the drachenfells, proximity to Bad Godesberg and train station. Ignore the reviews saying that it's dated, they've intentionally maintained and respected the original architecture and design, it looks great. The rooms are very large, bathroom spacious and shower powerful. There's a really nice large beer garden where you can have food and drink looking out at the rhine. Breakfast isn't amazing but decent even if overpriced, but atleast you can fill your boots as it's a buffet. Once again there are large windows with views of thhe rhine, which is a great way to enjoy your breakfast and start your day.

The reception staff were pleasant on the whole, but provided us with duff information a few times, so dont trust everything they tell you. For example, one of them told us that breakfast was included in our package. When we checked the following day this wasn't the case, and if we'd continued having breakfast there each day we would have had a hefty bill on departure.

Beautiful view. A little creeped out by the history of this place — the WW2 part. Clean — great bed and bedding. Breakfast is good but several places around town are probably a better deal. Loved the Biergarten. Staff was very helpful.

The hotel has No a/c and no fans —means that on a 93 (Fahrenheit) degree day, we were left sweltering. You can keep the doors open but no movement of air inside the room, and the inside from the river traffic and bugs kept us from sleeping too well. We had to ask for a fan — which was promptly provided. The housekeeping was a little erratic .. sometimes coffee cups were irregularly refreshed, and same with glasses and towels. No lotion or bar soap provided — jsit a note to bring your own. Too many conferences so it was noisy sometimes.

The breakfast was exceptional, masses of variety, excellent quality buffet and attentive staff. We booked a room with a river view and quite honestly is was the best hotel room I have stayed in for a long time. The view was stunning and small balcony was perfect for sitting watching the barges go by. Also unlike a lot of modern hotels the room was quiet, no fans, wierd buzzing or humming noises and the bed and pillows were outstanding.

Perhaps areas of the hotel are just starting to look their age but that did not detract from the overall experience which was excellent.

Breakfast was excellent! The service was friendly and responsive. The choices for the buffet were well presented, tasteful, and the view was beautiful. Our corner room with a view of the Rhein was perfect. When we return we will request the same room, with maybe one floor up, as we were on the first floor. The Bier Garten was fun with good patio food for the football game. The front desk staff could not have been more understanding for English speaking Americans. The location is perfect if you want peaceful evenings with a river view and the fun and hustle of Bonn. If you enjoy a bike ride or a jog along the river, this place has it all. We would definitely recommend this property!

Tough to say... can't think of anything.

This hotel is located by the Rhine river so it is excellent location to relax, to go for a walk or for a run along the river. The room was spacious and very clean. We had a room with partial view to the river which was great. Then we got lucky enough to a move to a suite with a balcony and full view to the river and that room/ suite was even more beautiful. ( the hotel was fully booked and we could have the suite only a two days after our arrival) The staff is incredible helpful. The breakfast has a great selection of food. The beergarten of the hotel is along the river as well. It has good beer/ good food selection and two nice screens to watch the Euro Cup🙂

Everything was great

Fantastic location with a lot of history. High class service and food. Great view from our balcony. Huge bathroom with a separate balcony. Safe area and very quiet. Beautiful beer garden on the property. A huge walking trail starts between the hotel and the Rhein, where you can walk or cycle all the way through the great park, and in to the city.

Did not have aircondition only a fan in the room.

The hotel was easy to find, has an amazing location and a very friendly staff. It's also very interesting to learn about the history of this house and a copy of the book "Das weiße Haus am Rhein" was available in the room which I was really happy about. The beds were really comfortable. We didn't get a chance to sit outside since the weather wasn't that good yet but I imagine this location to be even more amazing in summer. But still, having breakfast here with such a beautiful view of the Rhein was nonetheless spectacular. Highly recommend.

Breakfast could have had more vegan and gluten-free options but this is really just a tiny thing and I don't expect this anyway. And if that's all there is to say about what could have been better, that says a lot about the excellence of this hotel.

Wonderful 'grand' hotel with a long history and a lot of traditional glamour. The room was really large and the bed was very good. The reception staff made you feel welcome. Very quiet location and that it is right next to the Rhine is terrific. Super easy to rent a bike at the hotel for 10 EUR / day, I did everything on the bike! The value for money was good, I thought.

The 'ordinary' coffee in the morning was terrible, but I ordered specialty coffee (cappuccino) which was good. But it felt a bit as if they raised their eyebrows on this. I didn't dare to try the restaurant, as it has pretty mediocre Google reviews (even the receptionist recommended a different restaurant nearby :-)) I went to the sauna for free which, as they don't have one themselves, was in a different club, but that was quite a disappointment - it was pretty far (by bike) and there was effectively only one sauna crammed with elderly men. Nice though that they packed a complete sauna bag for me!

The hotel is located in a nice suburb of Bonn, right on the river Rhine so there is a beautiful view from the breakfast room and from the rooms facing the water. There are some public transport stations nearby, but the main train/tram station connecting to the city is a bit far. The room (double) and bathroom were clean and spacious. The staff was always nice and helpful. Excellent breakfast, with many options for cold and hot foods. Although it is an old building, it is well maintained and the furniture is quite modern. I appreciated the good availability of power sockets throughout the room and close to the bed.

The evening I stayed there they were preparing the restaurant for some event and, even though the hotel bar was open, most of the time there was nobody there to order from.

I did not know about the history of this hotel when I booked it and I was surprised to find out that it even has a 2 episodes movie about it. Look it up and see what is the white house on the Rhine. The internet is good, the location is quiet and nice. A great place for a quiet escape.

Not so many choices of restaurants arround it. But you can eat in Bonn center. No bathtub.
