The facilities were excellent. The staff was especially delightful and helpful. The lobby and bar were a welcome area to wait in. There are excellent restaurants in a small shopping area nearby where we had an excellent Italian meal. The location was a further walk from the train station that we expected, but we quickly discovered a nearby bus stop that we used for transportation.

We stayed in Weimar to visit Buchenwald, the history of which is very dark for its WWII denial. The city bus driver was not helpful and dropped us off far from the camp. We ended up walking miles along the railroad like to get to the camp. This is not a problem with the hotel, but it should be brought up to the tourism organization as an issue that should be addressed for future visitors.

Great location (both central and next to the lovely Park an der Ilm); very helpful, kind and polite staff; excellent breakfast with many options for vegans and vegetarians, very good espresso (and welcome classical music!); nice small terrace providing shade on summer afternoons. We stayed in the house next to the main building, which has the charm of older Weimar buildings, including a large wooden staircase.

The only minus: the mattresses were way too soft. An investment in thicker, harder ones would make the sleeping experience much better.

Highly Recommended! We've had a wonderful stay at Dorint Am Goethepark Weimar. The location is unbeatable, right next to the park and just a short stroll to the historic city centre and Goethe's house. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, our offering beautiful park views. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere despite being so central. The breakfast was excellent, fresh, varied, and worth the price. The staff were helpful and professional throughout. A perfect choice for a relaxing and culturally rich stay in Weimar. If you’re looking for a mix of culture, elegance, and comfort with an inclusive vibe, Dorint is a perfect choice for couples visiting Weimar. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice.

The hotel is excellent - spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, very well situated for the Frauenplatz, Goethe's house, Schiller's house etc. There is an underground car park with its own section for the hotel, separate from the section for the general public. A tip for anyone on a motorcycle. There is a sign at the car park entrance, unhelpfully situated too late to allow you to turn around, saying no bikes allowed. Being too late to turn around, I went through to the hotel section. You can get past the barrier even on a large bike (BMW R1250RT). I paid for parking, of course, but don't be put off by that sign.

The hotel is excellent and I have nothing at all negative to say.

This was our second stay with Dorint am Goethepark. Each time, our room overlooked the Park an der Ilm. The windows opened so we could enjoy the light breezes and bird song. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating. The hotel was within walking distance of the park, most of the town of Weimar Germany and many historic sights, lovely cafes with lots of options, bakeries, and the farmers market on the Martkplatz. The hotel is close to shopping and additionally situated within 10 minutes by taxi or bus to the Weimar train station, making for an easy long distance train ride from Frankfurt Flugehofen (airport) with a change in Erfurt on to Weimar. We did not partake of the breakfast buffet but were told it was very nice.

Our room was comfy due to a comfy bed and linens. There was sufficient hot water for showers and bathing. Our room overlooked the Ilm Park and had windows to look out of, some opened for fresh air. There were shutters for privacy but they were not obtrusive. Our room was a comfortable temperature even with chilly temps and heavy fog outside. Check in/out was a breeze. The rate was very comparable with other hotels in the middle of Weimar. The location was super close to shopping, cafes, buses, trains, the Anna Amalia Library, and many other great places to visit in Weimar.

We did not partake of the breakfast offered since we were visiting family in the area but it looked like quite a large buffet.

very friendly staff excellent location - convenient to get to everything clean and comfortable rooms - with all accomodations I really enjoyed the spa/sauna. Fitness room was well equipped but I used the park for my exercise Breakfast buffet was great - big food selection and easy to get to We had dinner once in the restaurant on the patio - very enjoyable

the only thing I missed was having a pool... but that was nit a big deal for me otherwise - no complains!

Exceptional friendliness and attention of all the staff, with our special gratitude to your reception staff who handled our issue with AC in our room by granting us an upgrade to one of the best rooms in the hotel. Excellent breakfast and tasteful dinner options, and of course the outstanding location. Would highly recommend to all visitors of classic Weimar, we'll be back for sure. Nothing, all was just perfect.

The location is excellent: very close to the city center, but in the peaceful area with plenty of nature. The hotel is clean and comfortable enough for a short stay. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The decoration is rather old and loveless, and the hairdryer in the room has to be replaced: old, dusty, and isn't always working.

The location was fine for me working in Jena. Room, food, and staff were excellent. The staff couldn't do enough to help, and so attentive to every detail. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Car park barrier underground could be a bit temperamental at times.
