- We arrived quite late due to delays on the Elbe ferry & needing to eat elsewhere (their restaurant menu has no vegan dinner options) but the bar staff served us drinks even though it was almost closing time - Lots of parking space - Beds were very comfortable - Excellent range of fresh food at breakfast, including oat milk for the vegan member of our party

I recommend double-checking your room type with the hotel. I had booked one 'twin room' & one 'double room with disability access' but we were given two double rooms down a double flight of stairs with no lift available. Fortunately we managed to separate the beds & negotiate the stairs, but it knocked one star off an otherwise good stay.

Just does what it says on the tin, and more, and delivers it with prompt efficiency. Room is spotless, spacious and beds are large and incredibly comfortable (I want one at home). Breakfast offers everything you come to expect in Germany - a wealth of unlimited choice.

Nothing. We stayed here before last year as an overnight stop on our way by ferry across the Elbe to get to Denmark in order to avoid the snarl-ups around Hamburg, and we’ll come again. Next time we might even stay for a few more days - it’s that good and there’s loads to do and see in the area.

Reception staff could not have been nicer or more helpful . Great bicycle storage . Actually all the staff members were very friendly and helpful . Certainly a bit off the beaten path but definitely worth it . Immediately off the bicycle trail on the way to the Elbe and Glũckstadt Our room , #4 was very clean , large , and comfortable with a great bed , extensive storage area and a very clean and nice bathroom . On site restaurant was also great with a nice menu , nice choices and a reasonable price point . Breakfast was very good with multiple hot and cold food choices .

Friendly welcome in a beautiful light airy reception, no problem that I was dripping all over their clean floor. Large locked room for bike parking. Excellent dinner on offer at decent prices. The room was large and very comfortable. It was very well soundproofed so we slept really well. Breakfast was decent.

It is right beside a busy road, convenient to stop over just before heading your way the ferry in Wischhafen, but nothing else around, so it is just a stopover place. But very comfortable for that.

Nice and clean hotel, very good food in the restaurant. Plenty of parking. Comfortable bed as well. Nicely situated for the ferry across the Elbe which I was planning to take in the morning.

No ac, but then very few budget hotels in northern Europe seem to have that. Otherwise, nothing to complain about!

Another great stay on our 2 month holiday. Great hotel, room was spotless also great size, dinner fantastic, breakfast excellent. Whole place is a credit to the staff. Highly recommend

Very nice stopover when travelling from England via Holland and Germany to Denmark. To avoid queuing through Hamburg, we decided to take the ferry from Wischhafen to Glueckstadt and this hotel was in a perfect location.

Proximity to the ferry plus it is a very nice hotel where they also serve wonderful asparagus.

Not so keen to take luggage down to a cellar room.

Good breakfast. Good restaurant at reasonable prices and a selection of very good tap beers. Despite being out in the countryside, it has everything for a comfortable night's stay. Locked garage for cycle storage.
