Booked this hotel as an additional night in town when we were staying elsewhere the rest of the time. It was a comfortable room and bathroom. There were other amenities like a sauna that we did not have time to try out, but looked good. It was walkable to all of downtown Wittenburg, trains, and the Luther sites.

We anticipate the usual city noises when staying at a convenient downtown location, but some of the rooms are directly above the outdoor dining tables so you hear all the chatter at mealtimes. Not a big issue, just a comment.

Good enough location, good enough room, excellent staff, quiet.

Nothing wrong with the place at all. Although charming, Wittenberg is only worth a day trip. For a tourist, there's no good reason to spend the night here at all. The main attractions close pretty early, and the town is dead at night. It's 2 hours from Berlin by local train, so Wittenberg and this hotel could be used as a thrifty alternative to accommodations in Berlin. If you're stuck in Wittenberg for a night, I recommend this place.

Food was excellent. We had breakfast every day and had two evening meals. The food, portions and service were excellent.

There should be a non slip mat for the shower. There should be a kettle and a safe in the room. A fridge would be useful.

I'm coming from France and I sincerely wasn't expediting that much positivity in this hotel. Let me start first with perfect greeting and services. The breakfast buffet... Oh gosh u need to get there cause it's delicious with a various choices of everything. Luther jam, cheese, ham, etc. Luther-Hôtel is the one I'll cbeck-in every time I'm coming back to visit my friend here. The location was central to our travel plans, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was super helpful. We were able to get adjoining rooms with one of the rooms having office space and the other having a table and kitchenette.

The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, and understanding of my lack of German. The reception staff spoke good English. The restaurant provided a very pleasant and affordable meal. The bedroom was clean and comfortable. I did not visit the sauna.

I had no negative issues.

Very friendly staff welcoming us at arrival. We asked for possibly to check in early and they gave us the room at 11:00 as the room is available. The spa is a great bonus considering a day long exploring the beautiful old town. Delicious breakfast and nice dining atmosphere.

No kettle in the room

The location is excellent for exploring the old town. I was checking in late, and the instructions for night entry were very clear. An edition of New Testament in the room is a nice touch. I also liked that there's an option to cancel room cleaning for the duration of your stay for sustainability (and cookies!)

Description says that most rooms have a view of St. Mary's Church, which I believe to be a bit of an overstatement: unless I severely misunderstand the layout it is at most half of them. One time I returned to my room finding it open (seems like staff took a juice from the minibar since it was also crossed out from the price list), but I am sure it's not something that happens here normally.

Excellent location to walk to all of the sites in Wittenberg. Food was delicious. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. Staff was welcoming and friendly; even holding our backpacks on our last day so we could explore before catching our train without lugging them around. We’d highly recommend Marta’s Hotel!
