I absolutely loved my stay at Hotel Würzburg Hof. The building has real character and charm, and my room was surprisingly spacious — a welcome luxury after weeks of travel. The interior was beautifully styled, offering both comfort and aesthetic appeal. I stayed in the Old Würzburg suite and it had two balconies and a spacious living room and the bedroom was roomy too. The reception staff were incredibly warm and helpful, and the personal touch of a welcome drink — a lovely local wine — was such a thoughtful way to settle in. From the first impression to the final check-out, this hotel made me feel genuinely looked after. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a boutique experience in the heart of Würzburg. Best eggs for breakfast at the hotel.

While the reception staff were consistently friendly and helpful, I did find the breakfast service less personable. It didn’t detract significantly from my overall experience, but it’s worth noting.

Excellent location, walk to train station, grocery , cafes, busy shopping area and old town and the old bridge. Room and bathroom is quite large and comfortable. I also had a small fridge which is nice. Nice to have an elevator as well.

The photos in the website are bright, but in reality Hotel itself is quite old and dim and dated. Maybe it was intentional. Although rooms are very modern .

Its very well located

The room isolation isn’t good,more when you are located in front of the elevator..the two doors are a plus but maybe isolation tape would help. The staff was nice but the first day we met a receptionist who seemed very tired,he didn’t have a bit of energy to talk to us more than the strictly necessary (sign here,here are the keys,breakfast on demand)…

-clean room and cozy environment outside the room -elevator -excellent location within walking distance to all main sightseeing sites except for the Festung Marienberg which is on the other side of the Main River, but as an alternative to driving, the bus stop linking the Festung and the hotel is super convenient -friendly and efficient staff ready to provide help

-tricky parking (150 meters away from the hotel with a hotel guest special price of 12 euros per day), better confirm with the hotel about the parking location and make the reservation with car plate, otherwise it might be stressful to drive around the hotel to find the parking spot -the sink in the washroom is a bit small and there is a lot of bending during tooth brushing😅

The location was great. Close to old town, shopping, attractions, and restaurants. Are sweet on the 4th floor was extremely large and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. A nice touch was a welcome glass of wine or beer in the front lobby.

Beware of Sunday arrivals . Many services and stores are closed. We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 p.m. and checked in with 4 pieces of large luggage. We were assigned a lovely room on the fourth floor. Unfortunately, the elevator was broken. Snyder, the front desk employee, was the only employee on site who could provide services. He was kind enough to bring our luggage to our room over several hours. There we're no Bellman or other staff members in the hotel to help. Having only one staff member in the hotel caused us concern for services should there be an emergency. Also, be aware that there are three steps in the front of the hotel, and lifting your luggage is required. Nobelman or valet services made car parking challenging, especially the size of the parking spaces available.

We stayed for one night to kick off our drive along the Romantique Road. We had a car so we needed lodging with parking nearby. Parking was just around the corner and they are aware of the reduced rate arrangement with the hotel. The location is across the street from a busy bus/tram stop. Our room looked over this so keeping windows open at night was pretty noisy. But very sound proof when windows were closed. Old town and the main bridge were about a 10 minute walk. The man working the front desk in the evening was very helpful. We enjoyed a "welcome" glass of wine in their comfortable lobby with classical music. The space in the room was a typical European room. Plenty of space for the two of us. Same with the bathroom. Everything was clean when we arrived. We did not purchase the breakfast buffet as we wanted to find a place in old town. Recommend for a one nighter.

Hoped to find a place in old town but the car is a challenge. Nothing else comes to mind.

Close to train station, central market, and Residenz palace. I had a Junior Suite which had a large sitting room and view of the bustling street below. Room was updated and spacious with a very good bathroom space. Decor was a little odd (paintings of family members-felt a little weird as a single woman in the room to have so many men hanging on the walls). Other than that quirk, it was a perfect accommodation.

Breakfast felt a little limited, but they had a nice yogurt and muesli.

Good breakfast, quirky room, warm welcome. Quite well located in the centre for touristy things.

The location was very noisy - takeaway food round the corner and the tram and bus stop. As it was hot we needed windows open as there was no Aircon (happy not to have Aircon generally). Nightmare to find - needs very detailed instructions. Unfortunately both up to date hire car satnav and Google Maps thought using a closed off tram only route was acceptable - and confusion with the concierge meant we contrived to drive back down it when it was apparently one way trying to find the car park ("Go back the way you came. It is ok, you are allowed "). Fortunately it was a Sunday and a shopping street.

The hotel is charming. Very centrally located, about a 5-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof, the Residence, and Alte Mainbruke. The hotel is located at a busy intersection, but street noise was minimal with the windows closed. The bathroom was small, but there was shelving to store bath items and racks for towels and the bath/shower soap provided smelled wonderful. There was a bottle of water provided in the room, a mini fridge, a coffee maker with coffee pods, a few glasses of complimentary wine at the reception, and chocolates too. The smoking terrace is lovely. Excellent breakfast with eggs, meat, smoked salmon, an assortment of cheese and breads, yogurt, and good cappuccino. The breakfast staff and housekeeping are very nice. We will stay here again when we return to Wurzburg.

There is no air conditioning. A fan was in the room, but it was still a little too warm/stuffy for me with the windows closed due to the street noise. If you want to keep the windows open for fresh air, be sure to request a room that does not face the street.

Right in the centre of town. Great access to walking around the sights. Particularly tasting wine and then walking home! The hotel is quite olde worlds.. great character and lovely, helpful staff.

The only thing was outside of the hotel. The parking deal they have with a car park 200yds away (€12!) but is VERY TIGHT if you have a larger car. We were quite concerned about getting in and out,.. but did manage. Not for the faint hearted.
