We arrived to a very warm welcome from reception, our rooms were ready shortly after arrival which was before the check in time, the rooms were spacious, bottles of water were provided in the fridge, plenty of hanging space and hangers, we had a triple with a sea view, which was cleaned daily, clean towels friendly cleaning lady. The food menu was small but everything we had was tasty and a good price. Pool area was clean, always managed to get a sunbed without any issue for our group if 4, pool towels were provided. The bar staff were exceptional from the moment we met them, warm, friendly and always had a restaurant recommendation at the port which was a short walk away. On our last day we needed 2 x taxis to the port with our cases however there was nothing available so the owner kindly arranged for the maintenance man to take us, they really went above and beyond : we loved Aegina and will definitely stay at the Danae Hotel again: thank you for a great stay

Bkfst was buffet style with variety of choices. The yogurt was delicious much better than what we have in USA! The hotel was a short distance ferry port and town, 7euros for taxi, but very easy walk to/from town. Path to beach across from hotel, ruins to explore on way to town. Very beautiful and relaxing stay. The staff at the hotel were great. Elipida (Hope) was very accommodating to all our requests; we arrived before check and they provided storage for our luggage, while we explored the area. When we checked out they stored our luggage again until we were ready to leave late that day and arranged a taxi to take us to the ferry port. If you have a day (or two) to spare in Athens, we highly recommend an overnight trip to this island and hotel.

Everything about this property is as described or better still. A clean, comfortable, quiet oasis in one of Aegina’s most scenic spots, with welcoming and helpful staff. I won’t consider staying anywhere else if I find myself in Aegina again.

Amazing hosts, superb pool .

It would have been lovely a little closer to town as in the heat , the walk was a little taxing. Having said that we thought our choice of hotel was superb.

The location wasn’t too far from town but far enough to be away from the noise. The staff were great.

The personnel is kind and professional, makes one feel welcome from the first moment, trying to attend to all of one’s needs. The property overlooks the sea, that is across the street, the pool is beautiful and pleasant, nicely designed, the hotel is just a 15 minute walk from Aegina town, it is very bright, fresh and clean… even the pool bathrooms, which I usually carefully avoid because they are often neglected, were impeccable!

Maybe some easy and simple design touches could be helpful to the look

Beautiful quiet hotel close enough to the town (10 min walk) but far enough to be in a quiet location. When you’re in your room you feel you’re in a beautiful bubble. Lovely balcony, great swimming pool. The staff is just fantastic and kind, great fresh breakfast and a few good options for lunch and early dinner if you want to eat there. I will definitely stay there next time. Just mind that you have to walk to the town every time. We liked that and we love walking specially in that lovely weather but if you don’t move much, consider it. A taxi to and from the centre is very cheap even at the late hours if uou go for drinks to the town square. Beautiful beaches nearby. Lovely place in general (and great aircon)

Maybe the breakfast and food options could be a bit more varied, but not a dealbreaker at all.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. Great breakfast, with lots of choice. Spacious bedroom and superb view overlooking the pool and the sea. The room was clean and well equipped with a fridge and hairdryer. Bathroom looked quite newly refurbished and was clean

Downstairs/pool toilet wasn't always great, but at least it was acceptable and probably difficult to keep clean when people are using the pool. The walk to the hotel from town was absolutely fine in length, but there wasn't a pavement. Cars were sometimes quite fast along this stretch, although at least it is one way traffic
