A 10 is not enough to describe our experience in Bacchus. The inn has an amazing view (great sunset view too!) and a very cozy, rustic feel to it, aided by the basis on stone and wood. The room was spacious, spotless and fully outfitted with all the usual hotel equipment. All furniture and appliances were in great condition. The dining area is very pretty and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious all around. The restaurant has great food and reasonable prices. The pool is another highlight. It definitely is the cleanest one I've ever been to and is very beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home from the very first second. I'll also have to praise Bacchus for being careful about conserving water and energy (e.g. 2 modes for flushing water, A/C goes on standby when windows are open). All in all, if you are in the area, this is the place to stay, no questions asked. We are already planning our next visit!

There was an excellent breakfast. The staff went to the extra effort to accommodate my request for gluten free. The beads were comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel was also excellent. The layout of the room was functional and spacious. The balcony offered privacy and a good view.

The TV's HDMI port was blocked. The following point is more advice for other guested and a criticism of Google maps that fails to find the shortest route from the hotel to the Olympia Museum and Archaeological Sites depending on where you park outside the hotel. The road into Olympia was blocked for a cycle race on Sunday morning we stayed.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms are fully modernized with smart TV and a rain shower in the bathroom. It felt like a real luxury in the middle of a small town. We arrived late in the evening and the host was able to quickly serve us in the restaurant onsite; the food was great tasting and authentically traditional. The breakfast was self service and of excellent quality with pastries, fruit, yogurt and juices/coffee/tea. We only stayed one night and so we didn't make use of the pool or balcony but it looked excellent and well maintained. We would love to return again.

My wife and I stayed here with our 18-year-old son on a one-day visit to visit the nearby archaeological site. We couldn’t have asked for more. The room was comfortable, and the property is beautiful. The staff was welcoming, and I would highly recommend the on-site restaurant, where the food was homemade and excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This is not a negative about the property, but our GPS made it very confusing to get to the archaeological site. I would highly recommend just asking the reception staff for directions. We have nothing negative to say about the property.

Impeccable accommodations, gorgeous garden and the add-on dinner on the veranda was nourishing and delicious and the perfect last night before the return home. Bonus: kittens to play with!

my tiny points of critique: communication with the transfer service from the airport was a bit bumpy both for us and between them and the host. Also, the breakfast was not a standout. Perhaps even toast and some jam and butter will be better that packaged pastries. But everything else was perfect so these are small issues in comparison to the great value of this stay

The pool was wonderful with a great view of the mountains! There were umbrellas for shade. The restaurant at the hotel had large glass doors which were open to the shaded patio. The patio roof is an extention of the building. The room was a good size with a small balcony, a modern bathroom, and a nice mountain view. Parking is not a problem. The area in which the hotel is located is in a rural area which is peaceful and quiet. The small staff worked hard to keep everything spotless. I was impressed. You are within a 10 minute drive of the Olympia Archeological site and museum. Olympia was our favorite site in the Peloponnese. The ruins and museum are amazing! Parking at Olympia can be a challenge due to the fact you can only park on the street. Space is limited so arrive early in high season. The site is large and you can manage your visit avoiding the large tour groups that swarm the area.

The breakfast buffet was good. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and found the selection limited and of average quality. You have no other restaurant options within walking distance and to get to one would require a drive back down some winding roads.

Our second visit to this hotel some 10 years after our first! A very convenient hotel to stay, in a small, quiet village, if you are visiting Ancient Olympia just down the road The hotel has a lovely position on a hill, looking across a small valley to the western horizon, perfect for watching lovely sunsets from the restaurant at dinner. The food is excellent too, very Greek in the best way, with good portion sizes: for example, their grilled lamb chops were not only delicious but numerous!

Nothing really.

Best hotel we stayed at during our road trip in Greece. The hotel was nice, clean and well maintained and has an amazing view on the mountains. We absolutely loved the pool (including the mountain view)! The room had a luxureous rain shower, balcony with a view and all other essentials for a comfortable stay. The tavern downstairs was amazing, great food for very good prices. The hotel has their own, delicious olive oil which we ordered with our bread and we took the remainder of the small bottle with us to enjoy further back home!

We had a wonderful time in The Bacchus Hotel. The bedroom was super nice and the view was speechless. The swimming pool is not big but very enjoyable with the terasse and the direct access to the bedroom. Also we did appreciate the restaurant, very good quality / price. Special thanks to Nikos for his kindness.

Pool closing at 8h30. Bees at breakfast.
