My wife and I stayed at this hotel for five days to explore Athens. The hotel is perfectly located for visiting Athens’ most interesting landmarks and is right next to a metro station, which is convenient for getting around the city. Additionally, the hotel maintains the highest level of cleanliness compared to any other hotels we have stayed in. The staff is incredibly kind, always approachable, and ready to assist. The breakfast is standard, offering a choice of three different combinations.

You can't beat the location - 3 minutes walk to Monastiraki station which means you can take the metro to/from the airport but do check when trains start/stop running. Taxis are abundant in the city. Room was a good size and comfortable. Shower room was spacious. We had a coffee machine as well as a kettle in the room. As our room was on the first floor, it also leads onto a communal area, where you can sit for a snack or coffee/tea, so you will not be short of free beverages all day! Up on the 6th floor, there is a terrace with a seating area with a view of the acropolis and part of the city. As per previous comments, breakfast is served in the café, directly next to the hotel, which has the best freshly squeezed orange juice! You will need a voucher from reception for the café if you have breakfast included. If not, then stroll along to the left as you exit the hotel and you will find a number of bakeries and a supermarket across the road. Do let reception know if you are going to miss breakfast, whether you are going on an early tour or to the airport, they will prepare a roll, fruit and drink for you to take with you which you can pick up from reception the evening before.

As with previous comments, the traffic noise is the only real negative with the hotel. Most rooms are facing the street/road and it will be noisy, even late at night or early morning. Be prepared, esp. if you are a light sleeper, take some ear plugs with you! Also there was a sign to say that if you do not want your towels changed, just leave them in the shower but they changed the towels every day anyway - pointless if you wish to help the environment!

The staff (especially Georgia) were amazing and so friendly. They were quick to respond to messages, help with booking taxis and giving information on where to go and how to get to places. The hotel is in a great location being really close to restaurants, stores, and the city centre. There is also an incredible view of acropolis from the top floor balcony. The hotel was clean and comfortable and the restaurant downstairs has great food and was a super cute place. I feel like I've seen everything on my list in Athens but I would come back to Athens just because of how nice the staff were here.

We had an excellent stay at Athens 21. The hotel exceeded expectations in every way — the room was outstanding, with prompt, friendly, and professional staff who ensured everything was just right. The location couldn’t be better, right in the heart of Athens, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions on foot. The room itself was clean, modern, and comfortable, offering a great space to relax after a day of sightseeing. For the quality provided, Athens 21 represents fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Athens and will definitely choose to stay here again.

This the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Typically Greek with big smiles and the willingness to offer information. You can even get your laundry done there for 18 Euros. The facility is very clean and adjacent to all the hot spots. If you go up to the top floor there's a balcony where you have a perfect view to the Acropolis. This is a relatively simple Hotel but very efficient, you cannot expect your typical overpriced hotel that once a cater to your little needs when you're really a tourist in Athens and you'll spend all your time outside. Also consider the cost is very low. When you combine all these things you've got a really great landing place while in Athens.

We chose this accommodation because of the location and we were very satisfied. Everything is close. The lady at the reception was amazing and accommodated us even if we have arrived before noon, thank you very much again! At the first floor you have complimentary coffee, tea and water, as well you have them in your room. The rooms are big enough and have all the amenities you may need. We especially liked the roof terrace with the beautiful view at the Acropolis. You can have your private picknick or evening drink there, it was great and we used it more times. The hotel breakfast is served in the nearby caffeteria. You can choose from some options, all are big enough and the staff is friendly.

Nothing - I would return again to this hotel.

Everyone was very helpful. We arrived really early and they kindly offered us breakfast and provided a space to leave our luggage. They clean rooms and change towels everyday. They offer free coffee in the waiting area at first floor. Terrace has a beautiful Acropolis view. If you want, you can bring your drink and food to enjoy the view. For breakfast they offer 3 menus in a café next to hotel. We preferred Continental breakfast. It was delicious and plate size was big. We didn't need to look for any other place for breakfast.

The filter coffee within breakfast menu was not very good. You can order another coffee but you need to pay extra for it. I have no complaints about the hotel, everything was beyond our expectations.

The location is right in the heart of Athens, close to everything you need. Restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping. The staff at this hotel was exceptional, we followed all their recommendations and were not let down. They helped us immensely. The rooms were spacious and clean and we were lucky to have a view of the Akropolis from our window. The taxi service they use were organised and picked us up from the hotel and took us back to the hotel after our beach days. We had breakfast included which was the lovely cafe next door. Will definitely stay here next time.

So many reviews mentioned the location and they were 100% correct. 15 minute walk to so many sites, restaurants and shopping. Added bonus is you can take the train from the cruise port to the one of the stops a block and a half from the hotel, you also can leave from that stop to the air port as well. Tickets only 9 euros each person each way. Georgia who works the reception desk days is a real gem as well. Had good suggestions on routes to take and always so cheerful. Nice choice of light breakfasts each morning as well.

No issues or complaints

Great experience throughout. Checking in was easy and the lady at reception that afternoon was exceptional, very friendly and helpful, with a lovely warm personality. She explained everything really well, too. She even came over to the next door cafe to talk to us after we indicated we were going to eat there (she had finished her duty at reception by then). We really enjoyed talking to her, and she is such an asset to the business. Both the ladies we met at reception were great. The room was absolutely superb and very spacious, with the bed being soooo comfortable, as good as our one at home! We rarely encounter hotel beds that comfortable. From the window (which opened) we could look to the side and see the Acropolis. There is a roof terrace for views, a must to visit. Great bathroom, very big and luxurious. Breakfast was at the cafe next door (included) and was excellent, order from a simple menu. Portions good size, but vegans would need a different choice. There is a supermarket across the road, very handy (but is closed on Sundays). Central area, very close to metro station. Would stay here again if I am ever in Athens.

There was a bit of road noise in the early morning which woke us, but it wasn't too much to cope with. I thought I should try to think of something not perfect!
