Location, swimming pool, beach. Bungalows were spacious

Breakfast was bland and cold. Lots of choices but the quality of the food was lacking. A two slice toaster for such a massive resort was ridiculous and the coffee machine was appalling. Rooms were not cleaned to the level expected of such a resort. Also, had an issue with mosquitoes in the room. Beach towels were not available until 10.00 am which meant no early swim at the beach 😞.

It is located on a hill next to the sea. The beachfront is amazing, and many people from Athens come for the weekend. The greenery is superb and meticulously designed; there are many trees, including big ones. Dinners at the hotel are fantastic, with great food — kudos to the chef.

The breakfast options are quite simple with limited variety. Additionally, there are no water sports equipment such as small boats or surfboards available for rent. Similarly, there are no rental bicycles, scooters, or any other recreational equipment. The options are fairly basic.

We liked that the beach was not crowded and that in general it is a quiet complex. They have multiple facilities for spending free time: ping-pong, field tennis, football and others. I liked the balcony with the large mattress for relaxation. They were very responsive to our needs and helped us even with ordering a cake for our daughter's birthday and setting up the room with balloons for the event. I would definitely recommend the location, the quality-price ratio is very good and if we will come to this area of ​​Greece again, we will definitely come back.

If I really have to look for something that didn't suit us, I would say the difference in level to get down to the beach. But is not something very important and even despite this small inconvenience we decided to extend our stay.

It's one of my go-to hotels I visit when I travel for work. It has all amenities anyone would need and the private beach is just fantastic. Everyhing from the beds to the food and everything in between is wonderful. It's definitely the best value-for-money accommodation you will get close to Athens. It's also a great and comfortable place if you're travelling with children.

The location was excellent and the cool, stylish decor was in keeping with a natural, relaxed summer vibe. The beach was lovely and service there very good. The hotel gardens were lush and well looked after. Staff were always friendly, polite and helpful.

The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been on checkin. Several times there were bits of rubbish outside that had fallen from cleaners’ carts. There wasn’t much to do at the hotel in the evening, which was a pity as there wasn’t anywhere else to go in walking distance. The restaurant didn’t always have all the menu options available, which was disappointing.

We really liked this hotel. It’s very cozy with a beautiful green area. The beach is divided into two sections and there is a pier, but be prepared to go up and down steps to access the beach. This is an old hotel that has been given a second life, which we found very charming. It was fun to discover what old items have been retained. Our upgraded room with a sea view, hammock, and bed in balcony stole our hearts. They made the most out of this balcony ❤️ I wouldn’t recommend going for the all-inclusive option if you’re used to a classic all-inclusive experience, as the food selection is not very wide. We were on a half-board plan and found it perfect for our needs.

Browne Resort Chalkida has un utterly beautiful, stylish and up market setting and design. Old world style hotel in a modern tap, just go there and enjoy the setting, the private beach, the (large) pool and in particular the most service minded staff you can wish for. Particularly the breakfast menu but also the bar lunch menu is really good. Also, do not forget to visit one of the local restaurants nearby called (I think, so check with reception…) Taverna Το πιάτο and order a hole grilled Dorade (white fish), or anything else of their very well prepared dishes.

What a pleasure to stay at a kosher resort with a stunning view of the sea, with a quiet private beach, a large swimming pool, friendly staff and spacious rooms. Kosher food and a synagogue on the premises.

The only challenge would be for physically challenged friends would be the stairs to the pool and the need for a golf-cart to get to and from the beach. Fortunately, we can walk.

Great hotel; newly renovated. Clean, comfortable. Nice food. We want with our 5 month old baby and could not have asked for a better hotel. A lot of my review is based on why it's great for familieshope it helps! Rooms: clean, big enough to have a cot, windows with shutter (making the room completely dark - a must for making the baby sleep). ; Bathroom and bedroom are separate by a small landing with the wardrobes (agin, great for containing any noises when using the shower whilst baby asleep) ; Very nice balcony with hammock, daybed for lounging, small table and chairs ; Small fridge, kettle and TV. Meals: we went on a half board basis (breakfast and dinner). The times for both meals allow for great flexibility (from 7 to 11 and from 18 to 22:30). The pool bar serves snacks, drinks, lunch etc (service is very attentive). Swimming: both pool and beach have loungers, umbrellas, daybeds etc. There is an outdoor shower and some more showers in the toilet - all next to the pool. The pebble and sand beach has a shallow entrance. My top tip would be to rent a car, as the way to get to the hotel is a bit hilly (would not recommend to walk with a stroller) Or taxis to Chalcis are only 6/8 Euros. Finally, the staff is incredibly nice. The ladies in the restaurant adored our baby and we're just generally a pleasure to be around.

The shower let's a lot of water into he floor of the bathroom - but 99% of hotels have this issue. Definitely not a reason not to stay as it's been a fantastic holiday.
