The host, Marcel, was super friendly and always had great tips for trips or restaurants. His wife even baked a very tasty cake for us one time. We had no problems at all, but if there had been any problems, we are sure Marcel would have solved them in a blink. We traveled a lot to a few gorges (more or less nearby) for hiking and visited some villages around. When we came back in the evenings we enjoyed the fantastic pool and view. We really could relax there. The apartment is very well equipped and provided everything we needed. The beaches nearby are very beautiful. The Voulisma Beach of course is the more popular one. This sandy beach really is great and there also are bars. We had a nice walk along and around the area of Karavostasi and Agios Panteleimonas Beach and relaxed there on the sunbeds as well. Only a few people where there. So if you like beaches not that crowded and don't need restaurants at the beach you should go there. It's a rocky beach but it also has sandy parts where you can easily enter the water without shoes. If you like hiking (and a little bit of "climbing") we recommend driving to: Kritsa Gorge Richtis Gorge (very touristy and with an entrance fee) Orino/Butterfly Gorge Pevki Gorge We also recommend visiting: Agios Nikolaos We visited the Voulismeni Lake and took a walk from there along Minos Beach, and Ormos Beach to the "Cave" which was a very beautiful and quiet place where we enjoyed the view at the sea and Agioi Pantes. Eloundas We did the trip to the island Spinalonga and also went for a walk from Elounda to the peninsula (Large Spinalonga). Sissi Village On our way back to the airport we visited this place. A beautiful village with a small harbor for fishingboats. So you see the apartment is located quite well to reach a lot of destinations. We never got bored and always could recover in the wonderful apartment afterwards. We really recommend staying there!

Nothing at all. Just be aware that there are only a few possibilities to store your clothes. It was quite enough space for us and of course there is enough space to store your suitcases. It was no problem for us at all, but if you are planning a longer stay and don't like leaving a few clothes in the suitcase, you should probably book the bigger apartment/suite there. In the end we didn't want to leave at all and surely will come back, if we are around the area again. Thank you for this great holiday!! :)

The place was so beautiful and clean, very comfortable. The pool really nice with all equipment needed. The view was also stunning. Special mention to Marsel the host who was simply adorable, always handful, gave us a lot of good address and insights about the place. The cleaning lady was also adorable. Kitchen fully equipped very useful. Bed was really comfortable. The balcony is a real plus. There was a lot of good restaurants around and beautiful beaches. You can directly by foot. There is also luxury club really nice to spend the day. You can go through the city in 30 minutes by foot, but I would recommend to have a car.

We would have some recommendations on the place itself. For example tu put hangers for the towels and clothes from outside as there are not a lot pf storage. The bathroom is quite small and there is no door to the shower so you really put water everywhere. Very fiew storage in the room as well and it would be great to have the TV inside the room and not downstairs. Regarding the city the transportation are really bad it’s complicated to go to the nearest city. You don’t have direct bus to visit the main cities around you always have to go from Istro to agios nikolaos to then visit the other cities. Also, when we booked the room, it says that there was a direct navette from the airport, but we never saw it.

This was the perfect stay. The apartment was so clean and well thought out. Pool was perfectly located to get the most of the sunlight . Our apartment was cleaned every day and was left spotless. Marsel was such a fantastic host. He had so many recommendations for us and was always ready for a chat! The village was within walking distance and had everything we needed. Beaches were second to none. Personally I preferred the beach across from our apartment as it was quieter but that’s just my preference!! I could not recommend Aelia suites more. A definite 100% recommendation from us

Looks exactly like the pictures. Lovely and clean, and wonderful to have private sun bathing and pool area. The staff were lovely, very helpful and the communication via WhatsApp was brilliant. Close enough to beaches and a small town which had everything you'd want on holiday. Adored the area, mountains meet ocean, gorgeous. Would definitely recommend.

It was perfect. Room is quite compact, but I didn't mind that.

Very modern place with good equipment. A good bed. A very helpful Marsel who helped where he could. Cleaning was very good. Location is close to very nice beaches and restaurants/tavernes. It’s a quiet location, but (if you have a car) very good place to start exploring the area.

I assumed I would have an apartment with a pool. However it turned out when I arrived that this was not the case. Perhaps also my own fault, since the confirmation details mentioned a “balcony apartment”, however since I searched via booking on a place with a pool, and this one turned up, I assumed it was included. I actually did look for it, but couldn’t find anything that said it wasn’t with the pool. Apparently I didn’t look well enough :)

We stayed in a Masionette and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It had all amenities to cook, the beds were comfortable and the private pool absolutely made the stay! The entire place was modern and absolutely spotless, the air con worked well and a daily cleaning service is provided. The local beach, Voulisma and the Macamre beach club were great! Food and drink there were excellent and the ocean, although full of microplastics (which is really quite upsetting) was warm and very clear. We took a full face snorkel and could follow the schools of fish. Plenty of parking at the beach providing you arrive before midday. We got there around 10am, and had first choice of parking. Beach beds in the Club were £15 each with a minimum spend of £20pp required- easily done but well worth it. Each area had its only swimming pool also. I'd recommend hiring a car, so that you can easily travel to Agios Nikolais and Heraklion for excursions, supermarkets and lots to see and do. The area around this apartment is space and you'll get bored quickly, with the local bus service not very reliable. GoMega gave us a VW Polo Auto for £100 (fully comp, no excess) for our 5 day trip, well worth it!

The local town is roughly 5 minutes, or a 20 minute walk. There weren't many options for food/drink and the quality was fairly poor. There are local chemists and supermarkets but again quite limited in availability of essentials. A car is definitely needed to fully enjoy the stay!

Absolute ten out of ten!! Firstly, Marsel the owner, was fantastic with communication throughout the whole stay, he sent us recommendations and notified us when the pool maintenance were coming. His brother Mario met us at the property and he was also extremely welcoming. The accommodation was beautiful and to a very high standard, it looked stunning at night. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights!!

It would have been nice to have a full length mirror.

Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful and Quiet Location Marsel welcomed us warmly and always gave us plenty of tips whenever we needed them. The place was very clean. The area is lovely and peaceful, close to the voulissima beach by car. The location is excellent, and the accommodation is fully equipped with everything you might need. Any questions we had were answered immediately. Highly recommended!

The complex is small and very well designed, a great mix of new and old. The suite was fully equipped with all you need, plus water, coffee and fruit to start with. From the bed you have an amazing view at the mountains, if you step out you have a 180 degrees view to the mountains, the sea, the village and olive groves. Marcel and his wife where always available, friendly and helpful, Marcel gave us great suggestions, helped organise a taxi, etc. The apartment was cleaned every day and towels exchanged every few days.

I liked everything, but it is recommendable to have a car to get around. The village Istron with shops, beach and restaurants is in walking distance though.

We loved both the communication and recommendations made by the property owner, whether it was for a car rental place, restaurant or site attraction. With it being our first time in Greece, this was extremely helpful! The suite was very clean and had everything we needed down to a cork screw for wine bottles if you just wanted to sit and relax out on the balcony.

Everything was great. The only thing that we really had an issue with was occasionally running out of hot water. But we managed.
