The location of the hotel is right near the beach and the sea, you just have to cross a road to them, so I think this was a great location. The distance from the hotel to the bus station to go in Heraklion and the other villages was a bit longer, something like 10mins on foot. The room with sea view was a delight. It had a balcony with table and chairs, so it was great to relax in the morning or in the evenings. The cleaning ladies came everyday and also changed the towels that needed changed. Staff was nice and helpful with anything we needed.

We bought the half-board pack that appear it does not have included drinks. They should be at least included at breakfast! I've been in tens of hotels with breakfast and you got the drinks included everywhere. How can you have breakfast included but not drinks?? Not ok. Very expensive cocktail and long drinks, they were around 7-10 euro, each.

The transport from Heraklion airport was super easy. There are bus stops in front of the airport which leaves you 8-minutes walking distance from the hotel. More importantly, it costs only 2,20 euros per trip. I'm attaching the bus schedule. The taxi driver told me that it would cost 35 euros to reach Astir Beach Hotel. I strongly recommend taking the bus The hotel is looking even more beautiful than in the pictures. It is directly at the seaside. Unfortunately, even if you booked the all-inclusive reservation, the suntanning chairs and umbrellas are additional costs. Still, if you prefer the pool for suntanning, the chairs and umbrellas are from the hotel, and you still enjoy the amazing sea view! The selection/variety of food was surprisingly amazing! Huge congrats to the chefs/cooks! Deserts, fruits, musli's, salad bars. Additionally, the staff who brings the cutleries and serves you your drink was super kind and helpful. Overall the food is 10/10 ! The cleaning is another important fact that I would like to mention. I kept seeing housekeeping employees non-stop cleaning even the unseen spots of windows, common areas, and curtains. A huge applaud to the cleaning ladies, they are doing their job amazingly: 10/10! I reserved a mountain view room, but as you can see in the images still It was covered with a sea view and the sound of waves!

Thank you to the staff, all very helpful. Nice décor and surrounding in and around the hotel. Great value for money even with no drinks included (half board) if you did buy drinks they were reasonably priced. Water was provided free at all meals and tasted good. soft drinks were provided free at breakfast (half-board). We would definitely book this hotel again. Some of the negative reviews were just inaccurate.

In the height of summer (when our group went) the deckchairs by the pool filled up quickly but if they were reserved with towels we just moved these a side until the person reserving returned.

The room was clean, but not so comfortable with a little bit of old-fashioned furniture and a bathroom. The rooms are not well soundproofed, so you can hear slightly the other guests. Buffet breakfast with a huge selection, so you can eat the style as you prefer, then a bar with soft and alcoholic drinks. A swimming pool area not so huge, but well kept, clean, with sunbeds. Everything was clean with good assistance from the personnel. Quick access to the hotel beach through the small street. All in all for one week all-inclusive might be a good choice.

Our room was beachfront, so it was perfect to wake up with this view each morning. From the staff to the food and facilities I loved everything. The receptionists are top tier, very helpful if you need something they will do their best to get it for you, or to make it work around what you want. One of the waiters Popi, she's perfect feels like family the way she cares for guests, she makes sure you feel comfortable and welcomed. We were so well treated in this resort that leaving was hard. Most restaurants, bars and so on are walking distance. The area is safe, even at night although most of the streets are dark. They have a company making activities during the day, there's a bar lounge with a very chill ambiance. They have gym and a spa. If you want to just relax, this is the place. I loved staying here.

The male waiters should be trained to not look at women guests as they look at women outside of work. It's uncomfortable. There are more older people in the resort than we excepted, wich is not a problem of course. The problem is how visible it was that this older women hated our presence for no apparent reason. But that is something that the staff cannot control. Most of the time in our room we did not have connection, so that goes to also not having Wi-Fi.

We were with two small children for a week, in two separate but connecting rooms. What I would definitely highlight is the cleanliness and the immeasurable kindness experienced at the reception, especially towards families with children. Late check-out was a dream, and the icing on the cake was that they offered a free room for the afternoon departure so we could rest a bit before the evening flight. Many thanks for it.

In the evening buffet, it should be indicated that beer and wine are free only for all-inclusive guests, as it can be very misleading for those on half board. The breakfast and dinner waiters sometimes seem lost and wait for us to bring the plates to them. The fitness room feels as if someone died in it; nothing is put away and even though all the necessary equipment is there, it's very neglected.

Giannis gave the best massage ! I actually got a second one . The food was so good. I’m vegan and there was an entire section for me at every meal . Dessert bar. Tons of meat options as well as pasta and nuggets and fries for the kids . The room was great. I have a knee injury and needed a room with a tub not a shower and they where accommodating. Stelios at the bar was awesome Great location right by the beach and souvenir shop

Niko (who works in the buffet) was flirting with me a lot and I ignored it putting in headphones the next day he tried to give me his contact number and got rude when I tried to decline he wrote it down and left it on the table anyway . I asked him not to serve me anymore and starting sitting by where other servers where. He would still make excuses to come talk to me even when I had headphones in and was clearly disinterested .

The room is smaller in size, but cozy, clean and modern. We received exactly the room we booked, with a beautiful view of the sea. It is an intimate hotel, but very well organized. Despite the late check-in, dinner was waiting for us in the hotel fridge. Fantastic service - smiling, helpful! An additional advantage is the proximity of the hotel beach (the hotel is right next to the beach). We highly recommend it and will come back at the next opportunity ❤️
