A Hidden Gem in Leros! I had an amazing stay at Hotel Alea Mare and can’t recommend it enough! First off, the location is perfect — just steps from the beach with stunning views of the Aegean Sea. It’s peaceful, relaxing, and the ideal place to unwind. The price was more than reasonable for the quality and experience. You truly get great value here without sacrificing comfort or charm. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious breakfast each morning — fresh, local ingredients, great variety, and all served with a smile. A perfect start to the day, whether you're off to explore the island or just relax by the water. And speaking of smiles — the bartender was absolutely lovely! Friendly, attentive, and always ready with a good drink and even better conversation. It's those personal touches that make a place feel like home. If you're heading to Leros, do yourself a favor and stay here.

Pension Sofia was everything we could have asked for on the beautiful island Amorgos. The location in Katapola was unbeatable – in a quiet and peaceful spot a walk of less than five minutes in either direction to the ferry and bus stops, restaurants, bakery and grocery shops. The space was very comfortable and immaculately clean and the bathroom spacious with a lovely shower. The owner, Sofia, is one of the kindest hosts we have ever had. She went out of her way to assist us when we needed help. She also organised a rental for us when we wanted to explore the island by car for one day of our week long stay.

The location was exceptional, being a 1 minute walk from the main port, Katapola. The house was perfectly suited for our family of 5 - having both a communal space inside as well as a lovely deck overlooking the port. The house had everything we needed and the added extra of fresh towels was great!

We loved everything!

Lovely cosy, clean,well furnished room, the best bathroom we've had in Greece so far. Nice to have a proper shower with screen although still.hand held shower head. Comfy beds, nice linen. Great quiet area and lovely little garden area, coukd hear cockerels felt rural. 5 min walk to the port. Ignore mosns about steps, there's a handful then you go along a flat path. No problem walking there at all unless you've a disability. Amorgos and Katapola are lovely and we had a great stay and would return. Very relaxing.

Air con positioned so it blew directly at the bed which isn't healthy but it was 26 and windy and we didn't need it on much as room on ground floor kept.cool enough. We just cooled room odd occasion before sleeping. Wifi a bit temperamental but ok. Trouble with lock, some look newer ours was old so took a bit of getting used to 'the knack' of doing it.

Convenient location close to centre of Katapola. Spacious 3 bed house with terrace shared with one other room. Quiet. Opposite the botanic community garden which served coffee drinks and snacks.

One mattress was uncomfortable but Sofia arranged for it to be turned which helped. There are a log of steps to access it but this is the case for most accommodation in Katapola and added to the charm.

Once we had parked up in the car park, it was a nice short walk, with a few steps along the way until we arrived. Our downstairs room was good with great little kichen facilities & a very good renovated bathroom. Outside a small terrace or we could use the garden. Sofia was very welcoming, friendly and made it clear we should WhatsApp or call her if we needed anything.

Loved the traditional Greek building and rustic feel of Sophia’s house. The location was stunning and we really enjoyed sitting on the terrace for breakfast and in the evenings. We were lucky enough to watch a concert in the botanical garden from our garden wall, which was amazing! Amorgos was had a relaxed vibe and good food.

Some of the beds were a little uncomfortable and the bathrooms were very basic and old fashioned, but clean.

Superb accommodation, delightful setting and a short walk from the Port and Tavernas. Sofia was extreamly helpful , would recommend this property to anyone seeking a quite vacation .

Just a slight problem for ourselves the bedroom was slightly cramped but we did have 3 beds in the room.

Location is amazing! Sofia picked me up from the port and gave me very useful information. The view from the room was amazing. Balcony was very specious with a place for lying down and chilling. I would highly recommend to stay at Sofia’s.

Very charming and relaxed place. The people Are very nice and helpful. They let us chill in the garden and offerets us to store our luggage until our boat arrived.
