Every amenity and experience was exceptional. From the gorgeous infinity pool, the Ionian Sea view, the private beach, staff, to the incredible foods, they were all beyond expectation and an absolute treasure of a memory that my family and I will hold dear for the rest of our lives.

A little distant if you want to walk to other restaurants in Gouvia

We stayed in a garden bungalow which was great for us (family with 2 teens), which over looked kids club but we didn’t mind as it had closed by the time we got back to room to chill. The beach is probably one of the best on the island. A few shingles but mainly sand with the most beautiful clear waters (Take a day trip to see more dramatic coastlines). Breakfast was always busy upstairs, but breakfast down by the beach was calmer. We spent our time by the sea but the pool looked beautiful, but seemed harder to find a sunbed after 10am. Beach never a problem. We only used the beach bar for meals, so can’t comment on the restaurants but all looked lovely. We also walked across the beach divide to Natalie’s for a slightly cheaper lunch one day. In the evenings we taxi’d to Gouvia, and walked home (approx. 15 minutes and €15). Another option is to taxi to the Old Town. Staff at front desk very helpful.

Almost everything was perfect - room, restaraunts, beach, see, service.

1) No any pasta in the most of the restaraunts - should be definitely added. That is essential for family with children - that is not so much choice for kids to eat at lunch or dinner without pasta. 2) Entry page to connect Wi-Fi - not every device comes to it authomatically. That should be simplified. 3) No place to play football/basketball - only tennis and beach volleyball. Relatively old game room. Broken net on the table for tennis on the beach.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in! I've stayed perhaps in 50 hotels across 15 countries. This place really defines for me what a 5 star experience looks like. The family room was perfect - quiet, large, with nice view. The hotel has a very nice and clean private beach which never got too crowded (we visited in June). The views from the beach and the pool are amazing - beautiful mountains and clear blue sea. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel is very family friendly - even has a "mini club" with lots of nice toys, shade and a baby pool. The staff were amazing and super helpful - any time we asked for anything it got sorted literally within minutes. Before our arrival, every message I sent on booking.com got a helpful reply within about 24h. They booked a transport from the airport for us - the taxi owner Maria was super reliable, great to talk to, and we booked a few more trips with her during our stay. Yes, it's not a cheap hotel but you are getting an incredible experience. Tip: We booked breakfast only and it was actually a good idea. There are 2-3 great local restaurants in 10 min walking distance from the hotel. And when we wanted lunch at the hotel, you can always simply pay for the lunch there. So we just had more freedom to eat whenever we felt like every day this way. In short, beautiful and clean, well located, amazing staff, amazing food, mini club for young children, great for a family with young kids. But pretty sure it would be great for a couple, too.

Beautiful position, lovely beach close to Corfu town great boat tire place next door. Wish I’d had a chance to try the spa. Nice rooms and helpful staff. Fantastic food, not keen on buffet normally, the food was delicious and staff welcoming. Lovely fresh and a huge variety and the menu changes every night no chance of getting bored at this buffet.! We attended the free wine tasting such fun! Greek dancing and singing entertainment if you like

A lot of Wasps! would be good if they tried to control them a little bit, lots of nests in the grounds. Not enough seating around the beautiful communal pool . And people reserving sun beds before breakfast.

I recently stayed at Kontakali Beach Resort and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, right by the beach with a stunning view, and the surroundings are lovely, including a picturesque harbor. The hotel itself is older, which isn't a problem for me, but the room, though refurbished, could have been better finished. It was clean, but the shower was a bit lacking in terms of upkeep. The facilities were good overall, though the breakfast area felt a bit impersonal and could be cozier. There was a wide variety of choices for breakfast, but I didn't find the ambiance inviting enough to fully enjoy it. The lunch was a highlight, though – delicious, and the sommelier was passionate and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. Dinner was decent, but it didn't quite match the quality of lunch and could have been improved. In terms of value for money, I felt the price was a bit high for what was offered, especially considering the quality of the room and the overall experience. Outside the hotel, there isn't much to do, though the harbor is lovely to visit. A nice plus was that we were able to check into our room early, which was a great convenience. In short, while it’s a nice place with a great location, the hotel doesn’t quite match the price in terms of overall quality. Would still recommend it for the location and the nice lunch experience!

The breakfast was great. The location was decent, we could walk to other restaurants and it was a 15 min taxi to Corfu. Had a private boat tour which was excellent, this was the high light of my trip.

Unfortunately the cleanliness was an issue, not great in the room as was dusty every day and floors not properly cleaned, also a lot of trays of food left outside rooms not collected and covered with insects, this was not cleared for more than 24hrs. Bearing in mind we checked in at 10pm, we needed a late checkout the facility was poor, we were given a room to use at 6pm but lots of people had already used this room and wet towels were left all over the floors with peoples hair everywhere, it just wasn't clean.

The hotel had everything the surroundings were magnificent. The food was.also very good.

I could not say there was anything I didn't like

The staff is the greatest asset of this hotel - they totally made us feel like home! From the porters and receptionists to the waiters, maitres d's and cleaning staff, they all greeted us with a big smile and were always at hand to accommodate any request. We knew many people by name and enjoyed every single interaction with everyone. Also, huge thanks to everyone who rushed to help when our baby had a little accident in our room - your calm reaction and immediate response made all the difference! :-) We loved the private beach which was only steps away from our room and the 2 restaurants right next to the beach. There was such an easy access to everything that we felt totally relaxed throughout our stay. The facilities, including restaurants, toilets and beach area were spotless.

The buffet food served during lunch time at the beach restaurant could be better - some of the products were not as fresh as we would have liked and the meals could overall taste better. Same goes for the buffet served for dinner in the indoors restaurant (at 45 euros/person we expected better quality/tastier food). There is nothing much around the hotel so be prepared to spend all day on the premises unless you have a car / are willing to pay for a taxi (we heard it was 50 euros to Corfu town and back).
