Lovely houses situated near the beach, the owners are very kind and helpful, they run a restaurant right on the property, its a quiet place that is quite secluded from the cities but you have most of what you might need right there, perfect for if you are looking for a vacation without crowds of people. There is a lot to explore by walking on the beach in either direction as far as it takes you which made for a good adventure. If you want to try seafood there are other nearby restaurants to try out. The rooms arent too spacious but we didn't really mind that and they seemed quite sound-proof too + a cleaning service each day. Breakfast had some traditional Greek food and overall a nice selection as well as coffee of your choosing paired with the seaview made for a good start to each day, wine beer and drinks made for a good end of each day with a tasty dinner, we had a great vacation here 🫶

The only downside is that there is no store nearby, by foot its about a 20-30 minutes long walk to the nearest stores, there were a lot of mosquitos too but the owners gave us a mosquito device so it wasn't really an issue :)

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The location is absolutely perfect — just steps away from the beach, with nice views of the sea from both the rooms and the restaurant. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breakfast with that stunning view is something you won’t forget! The cleanliness of the entire property is top-notch. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile and make you feel at home. The breakfast is another highlight — tasty, fresh, and quite consistent. It really sets you up for a good start to the day, and having it while overlooking the sea makes it even more special. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway by the sea, with great service, comfort, and nice view.

If I were to mention one downside, it would be the presence of mosquitos in the evening. However, this is a minor issue and easily solved by using a mosquito repellent device in the room — which we did, and it worked just fine. Also you need a car to get to Lixouri in the evening.

Hotel managers are very kind, they are a family absolutely kind, they make you feel home. They are also very keen to conversation if you want to have a talk, plus they will give you hints about places to visit in Kefalonia. When we arrived it was very hot, they gave as watermelon in order to let us cool down a bit. The hotel sits in a very peaceful place, if you're looking for tranquility you will find it there for sure.

Sometimes there were some little inattetions when the room was cleaned. Plus, in the beginning you might expect to find someone in their hall but actually most of the times they're at their restaurant. Nothing serious, as they are very keen to fix everything up if you tell them what's wrong, but if you are the kind of person who can't overlook these little things then you might be a bit disappointed.

The location was amazing and the beach was perfect for family. Natalie & Donny were accommodating us and super nice. Donny fixed our AC system. Natalie is a great host, she recommends a great restaurant in the area. Loved everything about there hotel.

The next-door beach restaurant people were rude, and we accidentally walked their side of the beach and the restaurant guy told us don't walk back here again, next time I won't be nice to you. I'm like it's just a beach, relax my friend. But then I realize he is an Eastern European or Russian and they don't smile.

Beautiful location if you are looking for calmness and peace. The beach is just a stone throw away! It's a family run hotel and they are really wonderful people including the support staff (cleaners & cookers). Our room was cleaned every day and we actually felt that we were family guest rather than ordinary hotel clients. Thank you so much Natalia including your hard working twin daughters, husband and myrtos. You all made our 10 day stay very memorable.

Very beautiful location and a very well managed hotel

The location is wonderful, with a nice sea view. It is suitable for vacationers looking for peace and quiet. Breakfast is not very diverse, but it is enough to start the day.

For pre-paid dinner guests, it would be better to provide them in advance (in the morning or the evening before) with a menu to choose from, to avoid being offered dishes from the previous day.

It was fantastic! First of all, the staff were polite and hospitable. The breakfast and meals were traditional Greek dishes, and they were absolutely delicious, especially the pork. The environment and the beach were stunning. I highly recommend it without hesitation!

Maybe they can be a little more creative with the breakfast, it was becoming boring in long period.

The location is amazing and it is excellent value for the money. The concept is very good because it offers a privacy due to the fact that the units are divided into bungalows surrounded by lovely flowers and threes and the bungalows are directly on the beach. In our opinion the service, the cleanliness, the food and the location make this place absolutely the best place to stay in this part of the island. From Lixoury goes a ferry so it is easy and fast to reach Agrostoli in only 15 minutes. The hotel is run by the lovely family, very kind and friendly. They serve very good breakfast on the terrace with the marvelous sea view. Also for a lunch or a dinner they are preparing traditional greek meals, that taste absolutely the best in comparison with all the other fast food restorants at the Xi beach. For preparing meals they are using their own home made olive oil that is just perfect. The beautiful sandy beach is looong enough that there was never overcrowded and each bungalow has its own sunbed set. We were lucky enough to see even the sea turtles nests on one part of the beach. If you like beach walks you can enjoy it here early in the morning or before the sunset because you can walk from one end of the beach to the other almost the whole hour along the sandy shore. If you are looking for a nice and quite place to stay this would be very good choice. They are pet friendly and this place deservs all the recommendations and we would love to come back. We stayed in an AirBnB on a previous trip to Kefalonia, but this time I was travelling solo with my 5yo daughter and wanted to keep things simple. Kefalonia BH&B is a small, low key resort, made up of small houses, each comprising four apartments. Everything was immaculately clean, and walking down to the beach or to breakfast through the whitewashed 'village' with its oleanders and fig trees, alive with sparrows, was always a pleasure. The location, at the end of a country road, was very quiet (no shops or bars), and very peaceful in the evenings. It was very laidback for late July. Apart from the beach, just down the steps from the resort, everything is a drive, so a car is a necessity, - there's a good supermarket and petrol station a 5 minute drive away, half way to Lixouri, and plenty of very good beaches within a short distance. Megas Lakkos itself is a long (1km?), narrow stretch of clean, red sand, with clear water and a shallow gradient that's ideal for children, and the water was perfectly calm for duration of our stay. The beach opens up a bit wider just to the East, where turtles were nesting, but the area just beside the hotel is perfectly pleasant. Breakfast was a very basic continental, albeit in a beautiful location. Convenience aside, there are fridges in the rooms, and there's an argument for just buying better quality bread, cheese, fruit, ham, yoghurt and honey from the local supermarket (or heading to Lixouri for Greek coffee and a pie!). The evening meals, however, were much better than I was expecting. A choice of four or five dishes, all nicely cooked in a homely sort of style, with generous portions. The sunset view of the Ionian, with the cicadas going in the background, made for really enjoyable evenings (and there's a small playground to one side, where children can 'disappear' to towards the end of the meal!). The women serving us were also the ideal waiters, friendly and relaxed and very efficient.

The WiFi was very slow, which didn't really affect us. Mobile data (4G/5G) was OK. There's a tendency of some guests to reserve their umbrellas and loungers on the beach using towels, rather than taking their stuff with them when they leave. I accept this as a cultural difference, but it was a bit frustrating when there were only half a dozen people on the beach, but all twenty or so loungers were 'reserved'. If you've got your own shade, the beach beyond the umbrellas was empty, but Ryanair sent our beach tent to Madrid by mistake!
