The palatino hotel is really lovely , it’s in an absolutely fantastic location , just minutes from the town square , harbour and beaches , get a sea view room and your view is constantly changing ( watching ferries and cruise ships etc ) Really don’t understand why people criticise the breakfast , it’s great , it’s everything you need and constantly replenished , pool and pool bar are also wonderful , so good in fact that you don’t really want to go anywhere else ! Snacks are really good at the bar and affordable and there’s a cocktail hour (lasts for 2 hours ) Plenty of lovely bars and restaurants within minutes walk from the hotel , we were very sad to leave ☹️

Large groups of people who were very loud and boisterous in the pool at times ( but don’t know how this can be avoided) they did have a lifeguard at certain tines but as soon as he left it went back to chaos in the pool once more ( did spoil things a little )

Staff were super, athena on reception was super, staff at the pool bar were lovely. Really enjoyed the music for the wedding party.

Sun loungers round the pool were not in good state, rather worn. Web site said there was a free shuttle to.lepedo beach, this was not the case.

We always stay here when we need a hotel in Lixouri, the pool is big in a beautiful open scenic setting and all the staff and cleaners are super friendly. The location is great close to the local beach and town centre square. We like to have 2 pillows each as there was one each in the room so we asked for extra and got them with no quibble. Great air conditioning which cooled the room quickly and brilliantly well in the heat!

No complaints and really good value for money paid. .

I liked the balcony overlooking the sea and mountains.. it was heaven sitting there in the evening time. The pool and bar area were very nice. The staff were very very helpful and friendly. Thanks to Athenia for her help at reception and to the ladies managing the bar area. The 2 ladies who cleaned our rooms every day were also very helpful and considerate. The beds were super comfortable. The rooms are a bit basic but you have all you need. Its sometimes shown as a 4 star hotel but really is a good 3 star and would need some further upgrading to be a 4 star. It suited us fine for a week and it was easy to walk to the town each day. The bar food in the pool area is served till 3pm and quite good also. Prices are reasonable.

The breakfast really could do with some changes. The island is full of fresh fruit and yet you get this tinned mixed cocktail of fruit every day why ?? Some days the eggs were cold & they ran out of nice bread. Lot of the same things with little change and not so tasty. This should be improved. The showers are quite small so if you are a large guy or woman you will struggle a bit. There should be more sun beds by the pool considering the amount of people staying at the hotel. This is something to improve but not a major criticism.

We chose this hotel because we didn't rent a car, so we needed a hotel that was accessible by public transport from the airport. It is possible to get a local bus from the airport to Argostoli, and then take the 20 minute ferry from Argostoli to Lixouri (3 EUR). From where the ferry docks, it is a 10 minute walk (slightly uphill) to the hotel. It met all our expectations. The room itself was well equipped and the air-conditioning worked well. The pool had plenty of sunbeds and was never too busy. There is a pool bar where you can order food and drinks, including a happy hour from 16:30 to 18:30. Breakfast consisted of bread, meats, cheese, eggs, baked beans, frankfurter sausages, pastries (changed each day), yoghurt, cereal, salad items and fresh watermelon everyday. There was also a variety of juices, coffee and tea. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help answer questions. The room was cleaned each day. Overall, a nice hotel which is good value for money!

The water pressure of the shower could be better (we were on the 1st floor). Wifi was slow in the room.

The hotel was very clean! The staff was always so polite, the ladies that clean the room every morning were always so friendly and polite! The reception was always helpful and kind! The hotel was in a good location, and convenient to walk to centre of Lixouri. Also was very quiet and able to relax and enjoy. The pool was very clean, and the bar by the pool has lots of choices for food and drinks.

I would like to have some fruits on breakfast, but that's a personal preference. Otherwise, breakfast had enough options and the staff were always refilling the buffet.

There was an American women who must stay there every summer who repeatedly start conversations about her views which were offensive to anyone who would listen, she also screamed at a child in the pool. None of this was challenged. Breakfast was good but a little repetitive. Shower in the room needs replacing

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast was very good with a big variety. The beds were super comfy and the rooms very clean, the pool was very clean.

We had some very noisy people who kept us awake at night. But the hotel along with the rep removed them from the hotel so the situation was dealt with appropriately.

It was exactly what we needed : a hotel with all the basic comforts, good breakfast and swimming pool in a large garden with nothing pretentious or fanciful. Having a five year old daughter, we particularly liked the children's pool as well as the presence of a lifeguard. We will definitely come back if in Lixouri!

The breakfast could have been better, but filled a hole. The shower and bathroom need some attention . Sun beds need changing to ones you can sit up or down and cushions need renewing.
