This place is great value for the money. The location is outside the city, so you’ll need a car. The view is excellent, offering stunning mountain scenery. Breakfast was freshly prepared daily - though the same each day, it was delicious. There are many cats, so if you don’t like them, it might be better to choose a different location. We love cats, so for us, it was an added bonus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and animals.

The light in the room could be warmer, but this is a personal preference. Also, the toilet flush needed improvement, and the kitchen could be better equipped - we missed a chopping board and wine glasses.

its on a hill with a several curves but not a problem even for a avarage driver. just choose road for "kouvlatata" and use just that one. other one which goes from kanali to forestata is about 2m wide in all its lenght of about 1km so there is absolutely no way car and a bike can pass near each other, not to mention a motor bike or a car.

What a pleasent suprise and an adventure this whole trip was!! Oh, boy...First, we took a bad GPS route and after that experience we wanted to cancell all, that first road was awfull. But we're soo glad we gave it a chance. There's a much much better road, just dont type in Forestata Village as a destination, use Kouvalata instead as the owners suggested and you 'll be fine. We really had a beautiful time there, the place itself is in the middle of olive trees, it has a big beautiful garden. It's pretty big actually with lots of apartments and space. Hosts are kind, it's very very clean, rooms are spacey and light, beds comfortable, breakfast was great. Yes, it is the same everyday, but there's a good variety so you can choose. I liked the greek stuff best-handmade jams, greek yoghurt, fresh fruits and some creamy cheese, good coffee also and you can drink it with a view. We recommend this destination especially for city people who are tired of the busy city life and want to leave it for a while and have a real rest. You'll feel as a part of the nature, watch the stars, walk in the morning or in the evening. When you want some civilisation, Lixouri is just 5-10 min by car and the city is beautiful. This place is a little secluded, but we were soo pleasently suprised that it kind of suited us. So peacefull, at night it's fresh and never too hot because it's on the hill. Close to some nice beaches south of Lixouri, but Petani beach is our favorite, some 20 min from there. I would recommend it for nature lovers, adventurous people who want to "charge" their batteries and know to appreciate this. Also for 2 or more families or a close group of friends. You will enjoy it and sleep like a baby!

wifi, but as I said, I didnt mind cause the place itself call for REAL REST. Be careful to use Kouvalata route when you type in Gmap, that wrong road is awful

My partner and I spent 7 nights here and had a wonderful stay. Due to its location, having a car or your own transportation is recommended. The included breakfast was okay, offering something for everyone. The value for money is (in our view) very good. We had an apartment with a sea view on the second floor, and the view from the terrace was stunning, overlooking the surrounding hills and the entire bay below. The accommodation is in a peaceful location with a couple of spots for relaxing on the property, although you'll rather be exploring and enjoying the island through the day. The owners were friendly and always ready to help with anything. The apartment was cleaned daily and there's plenty of parking available. The location is a great base for exploring Cephalonia, especially Paliki peninsula.

The kitchen in our apartment could be a slightly better stocked with utensils and cookware, but you can ask the owners for anything you need and they will gladly help.

Great location & very clean & spacious studio. Absolutely fabulous views. Kind & friendly hosts. Wonderful & generous buffet breakfast. Delicious homemade produce. Villa Forestata now have restaurant for evening meal. Evaggelia is an excellent chef!! Wish we had stayed longer but hope to return soon!

We had nothing to dislike

Breakfast was in keeping with Greek tradition and enjoyable. Location of the accommodation outstanding.

Too many cats in the food area making relaxed eating difficult (possibly exacerbated as I was the only guest). Two entire tom cats on the premises part of the problem!

Lovely view. Hosts are very friendly. Nice breakfast. Nice and quiet.

You can get food at the property but you need to drive to restaurants. Not really a problem with the property but something you need to bear in mind.

First impresson of the location and accommodation was amazing. I've never felt this way. The guy gave us 1 minute of his time and fled, not a very warm welcome, but still didn't manage to ruin the first impression. We had 3 balconies, 2 of which had sea view over the hills. Beautiful. It's far from the city noise, you can only hear the sheep and the wind. Not many mosquitoes.

Two ladies don't speak english. One man speaks, but he's really not interested in guests, unless they're from the US. He's also very loud. Wifi was great the first few days, after that it was unusable. We had dinner the first night, ordered 2x sea bream, got 2x sea bass. Greek salad was the best in the whole island though. Breakfast was good, but the same every day. A bunch of cats, which is ok, using claws on your clothing to beg for food, which is not ok. Toilet is very old, there's a bathtub instead of shower, and it's very humid. You can hear toilet doors opening from New Zealand. Some guests were very loud and were throwing watermelon rind over the hedge on the street, but this is unfortunately normal everywhere.

Very peaceful and in a beautiful location. Not far away from great beaches and and lixouri to catch a ferry for €3 to Agastopoli. The property was very cosy and enjoyable with beautiful views all round. Beautiful garden at the property. Nice little restaurant with good food. Breakfast was the only downside with the same food offered everyday.

The owners were so lovely and really helped us out when my husband left his driving glasses on the ferry and just in general they were just kind, friendly and so nice.

It would have been absolutely amazing if they had a small pool in the gardens, that would have just been heaven.
