Natura is full of character and charm. It is a beautiful group of buildings that provide an authentic feel of Greece. This is not typical homogenised "euro-glop" accommodation. The outside spaces were also delightful and provided an oasis of calm. It is set in a beautiful rural setting with a lovely 15-20 minute walk to the harbour area.

Location was peaceful and rural and away from touristy Makrygialos. Perfect for walking or driving to quieter beaches. Interiors were simple, interesting (arty) and traditional. Really appreciated having the bedding changed and room cleaned every few days.

Hot water kept turning off and bathroom door doesn’t close properly but these are only via minor and didn’t really effect our stay.

I had a great time at Natura Cottages. It is the perfect place to relax, as a starting point for hiking and cycling tours and as a place of tranquillity. Everything is so peaceful here, beautifully decorated with a very warm atmosphere. I loved this place and stayed here for seven weeks. Communication with George was perfect, he responds super fast and always finds a quick solution. Very, very highly recommended.

Unique, quirky and picturesque location. Cottages look much nicer than the photos. We only stayed one night but if you’re looking for a tranquil, slightly remote and quiet location then it is perfect.Cottages are equipped with everything you might need for any length of stay.

We arrived by car but a walk to restaurants etc. might be a bit tricky at night.

Fantastically renovated sheep barns. Each one was different but with a nice setting. We wanted to have the see view ones, but got “Skinos” and it was great. Anyways the sea is far, so you don’t see much. Inside its really well done and comfortable. Outside its so pleasant to stay in the shade in the middle of nature. From there you can do a beautiful hike into the Pefki Gorge. The village down on the seaside (Makry Gialos) has a pretty seaside and series of restaurants.

I cannot recommend natura cottages enough! It is located on the foothills of Pefki gorge and is surrounded by olive trees and lavender. The rooms are traditionally built and decorated and really give you the feeling that you are there to relax and enjoy nature. It was also very quiet at night. Extra points for providing beach umbrellas for free.

There was only a light curtain in the bedroom and morning sun was coming in. It was not a problem for us, but those who prefer a pitch black room may have some difficulty.

It is a great experience to live in the authentic stone houses with a lot of attention and attention to detail surrounded by a beautiful garden. Ouzo and 🫒 Olive Oil are available from the very accommodating host family. Close to the sea, an excellent bakery with ice cream and coffee, village within walking distance.

I’ve stayed here two years ago and came back again this summer. This place is a dream. Surrounded by nature, tranquil gardens, gorgeous rooms, and in a perfect location. The owner Emma is so lovely and helped us with our stay, also with great recommendations. Definitely the best place to stay in the area - and the best place I’ve ever stayed in Crete!
