Our view was breathtaking looking out on the Caldera and water (and Skarros rock). Location was perfect for us. Much quieter than other parts of the island & perfect for us.

All the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, welcomed (and to help with reservations/cancellations and transport) except for Nikos at the pool. There were numerous times he was beyond rude with us and we felt because we did not regularly buy drinks and food at the pool that we were not given the same attention and regard that other pool guests were given. We were beyond polite and friendly with him but our experience with him at the pool made us not want to hand out at the pool on our final day.

Arrived with two people greeting us to take our luggage to our lodging. This is important since the suites were further down (vs right up on the road). At Astra Suites, we were greeted with great service and complimentary beverages. Our room was upgraded without us even asking (shoulder season). The room was absolutely fabulous in all areas: cleanliness, character, and chic. Whenever we needed something, they were quick to provide us with amazing food and service. They provide a menu each day and we get to order whatever we wanted; the menu of options was the most extensive in all of our travels. For example, one morning we had coffee, hand squeezed orange juice, a WARM chocolate croissant, bacon and sausage, with eggs Benedict and pancakes with pistachio cream. THE VIEW WAS LITERALLY THE FAMOUS SKAROS ROCK. That was right out our window. We could have eaten at expensive restaurants, but why, when we had the absolute best service and food on our balcony? SO, for two nights we ordered room service and watch the sunset with incredible food, service and atmosphere vs eating somewhere else. I can't say enough about this place. Don't think you can get a better location on the island. TIP: Do NOT stay in Fira or the other side of the island! Imperovigli has so much charm and is not crowded compared to Fira and Oia. I am SO THRILLED we picked Astra Suites. It was very memorable.

The only thing we didn’t care for was the bed. It was very uncomfortable. Hard in some places and lumpy in others. Also the bedroom picked up so much moisture that the bed linens were wet when we were trying to sleep. The bathroom toilet seat was loose and sliding around so a bit of a safety issue.

Astra Suites had a spectacular view of the caldera, high up on the island. The location was perfect and a nice walk to Fira from our hotel. The breakfast was varied and delicious, orders placed the night before and delivered to your balcony at a time you specify. The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpful.

I wish the bed mattress was slightly thicker as I have some back issues. The shower was wonderful and there was plenty of closet space to hang your clothes. The pool was great and had plenty of shady areas to sit if you didn't wish to be in the sun all day.

The staff are absolutely the most accommodating I have ever experienced. The steps were a challenge but their staff brought the luggage from the square down to reception and then down all 119 stairs to my suite. Breakfast on my private patio with my gorgeous view. You are given a pamphlet to choose as much or as little to your room and the time the next morning. They call ahead to see if you are ready. 5 Senses restaurant was wonderful and servers were amazing. The pool suite was a splurge but it was wonderful to treat myself after traveling 3 weeks through Crete. Excellent!

The stairs! Taxis expensive for such a short trip. The Australian dollar does not go far with euros. Agean cancelled our flight and I paid for another from Santorini.. Then we missed a connecting flight to Croatia. Airport hotel cost $1000 AU so it has left a bitter feeling for me about Greece. I won’t return. It has cost about $3000 Au in total! Aegean did nothing to help.

The view from the hotel was amazing, we enjoyed sunsets from the pool area, we didn’t even bother going to Oia for the crowded sunset viewing, why would you? Imerovogli is white and beautiful like Oia, but less crowded and smaller. We definitely recommend this hotel for those who want to enjoy the caldera view, avoid crowds, who prefer tranquility, who do not want to overpay for more famous hotels in Santorini. The hotel staff are professional and friendly, and take a good care of customers. You pick your breakfast needs and time in advance and they serve your breakfast at your balcony table. Pool and pool area were also good.

Steps were steep and some additional handrails would be great. Some areas of the common walkway (the one that all the resorts who are in that part of the mountain) were slippery but I don’t know if there’s anything that be done about that.

This place is breathtaking. We have never seen anything like it. You could be plenty happy just staring out at the caldera all day and lounging by the pool. Concierge staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant was great, and the pool vibe was impeccable.

Can't think of anything I didn't like, other than having to leave.

Our stay at Astra Suites surpassed our expectations! We wanted to stay longer! Everyone we dealt with was professional, very well trained, highly focused on customer satisfaction and I can’t think of one thing that didn’t far exceed our expectations.
