The breakfast was outstanding- a huge selection of fresh pastries, fruit, eggs and coffee. Truly a selection fit for royalty! The view was OUTSTANDING, simply breathtaking. The room was lovely, with comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and a balcony that gave us the perfect sunset over the caldera each evening.

We would have preferred a prearranged ride from the port; as it was rather hectic and crammed when we used taxi transport that stopped at every hotel along the way. I would also inform customers that there are A LOT of stairs to reach the rooms and main hotel. This is not a stay for the elderly or persons who have bad knees and arthritis.

Excellent 4-star hotel with all the basics well taken care of. The hotel management staff were wonderful, warm, and helpful. The people make all the difference in how you feel and they were absolutely great. I highly appreciated it (especially after a recent bad experience at a similar hotel). Excellent location for a great view of the caldera. A bit distant to all the main market areas in Fira, Oia, etc. Highly recommend renting and keeping a car or bike for the duration of your stay - the price is worth it.

A very small, almost insignificant point - at night you can't see the great caldera view - because of the big bright lights in the jacuzzi right under our balcony. We were there during full moon and would have really loved to enjoy the caldera view with the night sky with stars.

Great hotel in Imerovigli, with great location, views and great personell. No issues parking our car (well, in March at least) and overall we'd definitely visit again when we'll have the chance. Everyday you have fresh breakfast with great coffee to start your day!

We loved our stay but our after checkin experience wasn't the best, we had found a couple of hair near the bed and in the bathroom. What's more, towels were greyed out and some of them even stained which shouldn't happen, ever. The staff did exchanged the towels after the complain of course with the new ones but the bad feeling remained for a while.

The staff were amazing, so friendly and personable which made the stay so memorable. The included breakfast was superb, home made and fresh each day, served with a smile in a lovely courtyard. Breathtaking views to watch sunset each night, sizeable room with balcony overlooking caldera, great food in the wine bar upstairs, room was cleaned daily and hotel was in a quiet location but able walk to busy fira Would stay here again without hesitation

Beautiful hotel with stunning sunset views and gorgeous sunset views. The lady on reception was so sweet and helpful. The staff helped carry our luggage which we were really grateful for given the amount of steps in the property. It had a beautiful traditional feel, the rooms were really big, aircon was great, the rooftop bar had stunning views and yummy food, the shower was fantastic and the pool was great on hot days.

It was a tad too far to walk to Fira but we managed it ok and the deck chairs need to be replaced, otherwise it was perfect.

Imerovigli is the ideal area to stay in Santorini- Views over the Caldera are incredible, without the sunset crowds. Heliotopos shows it’s age - but is still a very comfortable hotel, great value for money for the area and with extremely friendly, helpful staff. So grateful they carry luggage up and down to your room.

So many steps (but knew that in advance when staying on the Caldera site not the hotels issue). Hotel would not suit anyone with mobility issues. Needs some investment in new balcony furniture- looks like this has already started with some of the balconies.

The breakfast was excellent, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the views from the room were spectacular and the decor was beautiful.

Initially, we were given a narrow fold up bed for the second traveller instead of a proper pull-out or single bed, which was uncomfortable. We had 101 steps to get to our room, which was not a problem for us, but this would likely be an issue for elderly or disabled people.

The hotel was perfect! Right in the middle of Imerovigli, walking distance to Fira, and a short drive or nice hike to Oia. The staff, especially Joseph, were exceptional, highly accommodating and so friendly. Our room felt authentic, clean and was spacious with a beautiful balcony to watch the sunset over the caldera. We enjoyed every single second of our stay and cannot recommend highly enough - the wine bar is also a must visit!

Heliotopos is a very unique cave hotel on top of the cliff with an outstanding view to the Caldera. We are a family of four and stayed for four nights in the Premium Family Apartment with balconies on both floors facing directly to the sunset. They have a fantastic Wine Bar and serve delicious food in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good and included. There’s a walking path right in front of the property that leads to the capital, Fira, one direction (about 30 min) and to Oia (pronounced “Ía”) the other direction (about 2hrs). Everyone at Heliotopos went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and we can’t thank them enough! I hope we’ll visit Santorini again and if we do we’ll stay at the Heliotopos Hotel again!

Excellent location. Stunning views. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Accessible grocery stores. Good location to walk to Oia or Thira. No need to book restaurant with view since rooms all have fantastic view of sunset.

Challenging parking. Car not necessary. Only 4 pool lounge chairs but during peak season, we never had to compete for space anyways.
