The hotel was fantastic! The room and especially the bathroom was very spacious and very clean. I believe we got a free upgrade to a junior suite or something like that. The room smelled nice. It also looked as if everything was brand new (perhaps it was). There were more than enough towels and other amenities. There was (edible) fruit in the room. We had a beautiful view of the city, the sea and the Mykonos windmills from our room. We could actually watch a live webcam feed of our view on the large flatscreen TV in the room, for when we had our curtains closed. The was no noise outside or inside, which was great. The hotel has a panorama bar/terrace with a fantastic view of the city and the sea, and is perfect for watching the sunset. We were able to order some drinks here which was nice. The staff was very helpful. We had help with our luggage and booking taxis/private cars and they provided us with useful information on things to do in the area. We had to leave early for a morning flight and they prepared breakfast for us before the time that breakfast is usually served which was very nice of them. The price of the room was very good, especially on Mykonos where the prices are relatively high. We will definitely be staying here again if we ever return to Mykonos.

There couldn't be a better place to be for a vacation in Mykonos. Fully renovated small boutique hotel. The staff (Anna, Adonia, Theo) were just perfect, some items in the breakfast are homemade, the sunset view beats any other place, and the hotel is located just at the side of the old town, with a private parking spot. Unvaluable. Better book the rooms with a view towards the town, but our room on the back side was just fine and quiet for a morning coffee and a short afternoon break. Please keep it simple and affordable so that we come back again and again.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. My friend and I came to Mykonos unaware that it had a big party scene, ha. Thankfully, this hotel is far enough away from the clubs that you don't hear much of anything. However, it is also close enough that you can safely and easily walk everywhere, even to a club :) The staff were SO helpful with advice around things to do, how to use the bus system, etc. The breakfast is one of the best I've ever had (see my photos and video). They'll even make you an omelette if you ask! The building has a phenomenal view, feels totally safe and is so well decorated. It's gorgeous inside and out. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. It will meet all of your needs (unless stairs are a "no" for you...as there are a lot of stairs down and up to the hotel).

My stay at Portobello Boutique Hotel was truly exceptional! The hotel was spotlessly clean — I was impressed that the staff cleaned our room almost immediately after we left each time. The employees were incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend booking a suite room — the view of the sunset from our room was breathtaking. The hotel’s location is perfect, just a short walk to everything in Mykonos, and it’s surrounded by beautiful scenery. This is definitely one of the best hotels in Mykonos, and I would happily return!

Highly recommend this hotel. The location is perfect and the staff is wonderful. Anna and Maria at the front desk were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They helped make our stay a great experience. The room was spacious, clean, and had all of the amenities and more! The breakfast was also very delicious and would highly recommend eating on the terrace over the view of the town. Anna helped us with recommendations for a nearby beach club and we had a fabulous time. The view from the hotel is absolutely beautiful and was a great location for us. We were able to get to the center of Mykonos town while also not being in the center of the parties/noise. We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

It was a little pricey

The room was comfortable, beautifully and tastefully furnished -- a pleasure to spend time hanging out here, between explorations of the town and other areas of the island. It was too cool and windy for us to sit on the charming deck, but we appreciated the extra light and views from the two doors, and found ourselves taking many pictures from that location. The staff were wonderful, helpful, kind, knowledgeable and very professional. They booked two restaurant dinners for us at two different locations, both excellent meals and very responsiveness to the direction we provided about our likes and preferences. They also helped book a driver who gave us a tour of the island, as well as arranging for transportation to and from the port.

The room was short on plugs, places to keep our electronics fully charged. We found that we had to juggle the charging of various devices (phones, watches, computers) -- there were just not enough few plug-in options, and virtually none dedicated to electronic tools. A desk in the room with multiple outlets would be really helpful. The shower door needs replacement -- there's no seal under the door to prevent water from the shower from escaping into the room, completely saturating bath rugs.

Great localisation, nice localisation, nice breakfast with croissant, coffee and eggs the way you want. Very close but not too much in the action so you can sleep well. Also close to the bus station, so easy to go from the port/other beaches (we didn't rent anything). Very clean. Close to a small market. Flexible on arrival and departure.

There is a private pool with the villa, but i think the pool shouldn't be private; you realize once you are there that it wouldve been really nice to have access to the pool (and its big). Not negative but know it is up the hill form 5-10m walk. Small room for 4 but i guess it wasn't planned for 4.

Beautiful view from front of hotel and breakfast area. The staff were delightful especially breakfast service, wonderful breakfast, fresh and tasty with a good choice. Good facilities and loved the Nuxe products in bathroom.

Room was dark as we couldnt open the shutters, we found the room a little small but worked for us as a one night stay.
