The Ilion was very comfortable and very well-located, both of which are my highest priorities as a traveller for many years. My goodness, there was even a small “kuzina” on our floor available to us with dishes, cutlery, glasses, and pots and pans to be used on the two element burner. Our hostess and the owner Sophia is a jewel who exemplifies Greek “philoxenia” or hospitality. The generous daily breakfast included in the price is delicious and an important way Greeks express this. Thank you, Sophia!

It would have been helpful if beach equipment was available - chairs and umbrellas - even at a modest daily rental.

Hands down, this is the best included breakfast I've ever encountered in all my many years of travelling. Sophia takes great care and has cakes, egg pies, crepes, breads to offer you in the morning. We have been spoiled by this and now no one can meet our expectations! The room is modern, and clean as a whistle! We are steps from a beautiful beach and a five minute walk to the harbor and many restaurants! We extended our stay by a week because we love this hotel and Naxos so much!! Same housekeeper everyday- she is amazing and quick!

Nothing.... everything was amazing

This is a great family-run small hotel. Everything was great, some of the highlights include the nice bathroom, the spotlessly clean room, and the great location literally 10 meters from the beach. Ms. Sophia, the owner, was very helpful with everything we needed and she cooked the most delicious breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel, it is great value for money and I would certainly return if I went back to Naxos. A couple of extras which made our stay even more comfortable: beach umbrellas were available for the customers to take to the beach and parking space just outside the hotel was available which is quite convenient if you have a car.

The Wi-Fi in our room was poor.

The hotel is kept exceptionally clean and tidy and well-decorated, and our bathrooms were very recently refurbished and of excellent quality. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms quite large. The breakfasts provided were exceptionally good (with excellent, home-made traditional Greek breakfast offerings) and the owners exceptionally friendly, cheerful and discreet. We were more impressed with the hotel than we expected to be, it was very good value for money.

The breakfast room could get rather crowded, with too few tables at peak times (we had to wait to get a table on two mornings) and only one serving (display) table for the food and drinks.

This hotel was, as advertised, 10 metres from the lovely beach, easy walking distance to nice cafes, mini marts and restaurants. It was a nice 7 minute walk to the centre of town with its shops and winding streets. Previous reviews, raving about the breakfast didn't do it justice; it was amazing for all of the five days we were there. Sofia, the proprietor, is a generous and terrific cook. Best food in Greece. The rooms all have balconies with oblique views of the beach and sea. Very, very clean and bright!

The location is excellent: close to the beach, easy walk to nearby restaurants as well as the old town and port. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean. Whilst our room was on the small side it was really well designed so we were able to put things away easily. We also had a lovely, sunny balcony with a side view down to the beach. Whilst the hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to the bustling town centre, the location of the hotel is quiet (great for sleeping. The breakfast provided is also excellent.

We were up 2 flights of stairs, but not an issue for us

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was amazing with most delicious cookies we have ever tasted. Rooms were cleaned spotless daily. Our room had a view on the beach, was really beautiful. They also have small kitchen which we didn’t use but convenient for someone who needs such facilities. Parking was outside of the hotel, never issues having a space. 2 minutes walk from the beach, and 10 minutes from the town centre. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants-no need to be even walking into the center.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in! Everything was perfect and lovely! Our host, Sophie was very warm and welcoming, and every day at breakfast we had her delicious homemade selection of cakes! The room was lovely, very clean. We had clean towels, every day, and every second day clean bed sheets. The room always looked so tidy and welcoming after the day out. The bed was very comfortable, excellent shower, lovely balcony, and important to me as I am a light sleeper, it was lovely and quiet. There was a kettle in the room and a small communal kitchen nearby with everything you would need. The location was fantastic - right by the beautiful beach, and a short walk into the shopping area and port. It was also excellent value for money. Thank you Sophie for such a lovely place to stay!

The room is spacious and cleaned daily - the staff fully clean the bathroom, make the bed etc whilst you are out so it feels new on your return. Sophia takes great care with breakfast - almost everything provided is homemade. The location is just about unbeatable - it is steps from the main beach in Naxos where you can walk to decide if you want to lay down a towel or go to a beach club. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity as well as car/bike/ATV rentals also.

The only slight issue was with the shower - the rain head didn’t work (this was a minor issue)

Location was just the best. The beach is just steps away from the hotel which made it so easy to have a chilled out beach holiday. You can watch sunsets from this beach. It was very close to restaurants, amenities and shops. It was an easy walk into the main area of Chora. Sophia showed us wonderful hospitality. The breakfast buffet was amazing - delicious home-style cooking. We got the Seaview room which meant we could watch the sunset from our balcony. It was the best!
