We stayed at Naxos Mare and I can truly say – this is one of those places you’ll want to return to. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and the sea – the perfect spot for a relaxed morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Every sunset felt like a little piece of magic, with the sky turning pink and orange like something out of a postcard. Our host, Sophia, is absolutely wonderful – kind, warm, and helpful in every possible way. She even arranged a day trip to Koufonisia for us, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation. Her mother and father are also incredibly friendly – they greeted us with a smile every time we passed by, making us feel like part of the family. Food and drinks are available on request, and the prices are very reasonable. Everything we tried was delicious and clearly made with care. Just a few minutes away by car (or a bit longer if you enjoy walking) is Agia Anna – the most beautiful beach on the island, with turquoise waters, soft sand, and that peaceful feeling of being completely disconnected from the world. Naxos Mare is more than just a place to stay – it’s a genuine experience of Greek hospitality, where time slows down and your heart feels full. Highly recommended – and I’m already dreaming of coming back. 💙

Naxos is so beautiful and Naxos Mare is a hidden gem! Beautiful location with the most stunning sunsets, fabulous pool area, super comfy rooms, great food and drinks at the pool bar and the hosts - Sophia and Margarita really go out of their way to make the holiday perfect. Great location for exploring as it’s only 6 minutes to Agia Anna beach. Bus stop is there too and lots of great tavernas. From there 7 min walk to Plaka and 7 minutes other direction to Agios Prokopios. Will definitely return to Naxos Mare.

Beautiful grounds! Nice rooms, and it was very well kept. Clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and fast service. One day we were left a treat of cherry cordial and a nougat bar left in our room.

I thought I was getting a kitchen when I booked the room to cook a few of my own meals. There was a refrigerator and a stove top but no cooking utensils, no basic spices or oils or any kitchenware. There were 2 cups 2 bowls 2 spoons 2 forks and 2plates. And 2 small pots. That was it. There was way to make coffee either, but you could buy a cup from the poolside restaurant. The staff brought me a frying pan and a sandwich grill to act as a toaster. That was very kind but there was nothing I could do with it.

The pool area is stunning ( especially at sunset) , wonderfully maintained and the bar area run by the staff is brilliant. The food is all local and cooked fresh and is gorgeous/ great value . The breakfast tray changes each day which offers even more great variety. The staff are absolutely brilliant , it’s a small family run place that really clearly loves what they do and dedicate themselves to their customers. Full of advice for the island, help with anything you could need and just so attentive. This hotel was a wonderful mix of relaxed and playful with a great mix of guests ( including furry friends 🐶) The location is brilliant, you are about a 5/10 min walk from the main road/ restaurants/ bus stop. For 2 euros ( buy tickets in the supermarket ) you can travel the island on buses that come every 30mins. The beaches including Maragas, Plakka and Agia Anna are stunningly clean and the water looked like a screensaver. The hotel room is cleaned very frequently and the balconies give a brilliant view of the sea and sunset if you don’t want to enjoy it by the pool. The rooms have everything you could need, including a fridge and kitchenette should you wish to cook food for yourself ( but the local taverns and pool food are so wonderful and cheap you’d really be missing out!) The pictures of the rooms don’t do them justice. The decor is clean, traditional in terms of colours and tiling rather than opting for modern that may look more expensive. It really is a family experience that you’re going to love. Naxos was a beautiful island that we loved exploring, but this hotel and our time here made our holiday unforgettable. We’d come and stay here again in a heart beat

There isn’t a thing we didn’t like

We had an amazing stay at Naxos Mare. The location is perfect, just a short walk (~10 minutes) from the beautiful Agia Anna beach, bus stop and local shops. The apartment itself was clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sofia, the host, and her family provided exceptional service, taking care of every little detail and ensuring we had everything we needed. They made us feel truly at home, offering cleaning services every second day, delicious meals, and a perfect breakfast. They also picked us up and took us to Naxos Port for a reasonable price. They were incredibly patient and kind with my father, who cannot speak English, thanks again for your kindness! The view from the balcony was stunning, and it was a perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee. The pool area was well-maintained, offering a great place to relax after a day of exploring.

The only downside was that some of the other guests were occasionally quite loud, but this did not significantly detract from our overall experience.

This property is exceptional, there is no way it is only classed as 3 star! The grounds, facilities, and rooms were all stunning, the pool was magical and it was an easy short walk to the beach and many restaurants. Sophia and her team were the highlight, they are the most welcoming, hospitable, kind and caring people, always a smile, always a yes. Fantastic bar menu of cocktails and food, all cooked fresh and delivered poolside at great prices to boot. We travel yearly and are a family of 8, teens through to couples and parents - this accommodation worked for each of us, just book it, you will not regret it!

Naxos Mare Is very close tò the Chora, Just 15 minutes by car. It Is Very close tò the beaches, supermarket, taverna and cafè bar restaurants that u can get also walking. The owner, Sofia Is very gentle and She Is Always on the structure ready ti help u. Room Is very clean and u have all the necessary with a Little kitchen, table and a nice balcony. Swimming pool Is Always clean in the morning until evening (they clean It with all the necessary). Bathroom Is clean and confortable. U have a private car parking or in front of the hotel u have a big free car parking.

The best hotel in terms of price/quality iv ever had. Amazing view, very decent pool, amazing service and spacious room with all the things you need. Sofia, the owner, was preparing the breakfast which was perfect as well. Room extremely clean and beautiful! Parking for free just infront of the hotel. I strongly recommend it, you will not regret it! We ll come back for sure. Thanks a lot Sofia

This property has been the best we have stayed in. The location the pool and the rooms are excellent. Views are amazing. The hotel is family run and they go way beyond to look after you. Never been to a property that’s as clean as this it’s all perfect. Thank you Sophie to you and your family.

There is nothing I disliked about this property stunning.

This accommodation was about a 10-minute walk from the beach, but not the easiest, as it wasn't flat. However, having the pool here was lovely – perfect for a break from the beach, and it was great to use a sunbed without paying and have a bar with food close by! Sofia was an incredible host. She is friendly and helpful.
