We loved the place and we felt right at home. The location is absolutely amazing, right across from the sea. It's wonderful to wake up before the sunrise and see the dawn colors creeping up from behind the hills and mountains in the distance. And to hear the sea when you enjoy a drink on the patio, with all the lovely cats. The room was not very big, but comfy, with AC and hot water all the time. Parking was easy, on the street, right in front of the door. Check-in was a breeze and the room was cleaned daily. The owners also have a small restaurant adjoined and the breakfast there is very good and the staff friendly. The "city center", plenty of restaurants and the ferry dock are only 5 minute away - close enough for a very short walk, but also far enough not to hear any noise. At first we were disappointed because we did not research the location properly - there is no southern coastal road, and all the great beaches, though close as the crow flies, require long drives - but then we learned to really appreciate Paleochora. It's just perfect to unwind and disconnect. I would never book accommodation in Chania because it's too crowded. Overall we really enjoyed Haris Studios and Paleochora and would gladly come back here again.

My iPhone charging brick disappeared from the room. It was connected to the cable, but, somehow, only the cable remained. I told the staff about this, hoping the charger would "re-appear" in our room, but it was gone forever.

The accommodation is a short walk from the main town, which was nice, to not be in the hustle and bustle, there were a lot of tourists! The cafe over looks the sea, which was lovely, and the small pebble beach just a walk across the road. This little beach was our favourite as hardly anyone there, clear waters that you can swim quite far out as you can touch the bottom easily Our room was small, but as we booked late, that was fine. Our balcony had a view of a little garden but was nice as it didn’t get the sun much of the day so was nice to sit out as not too hot The food here is very good, we had the included breakfast most days, but we could swap it out for something else if we wanted If you arrive after about 6pm be warned that the taxi will drop you in town, as the roads are blocked off in the evening, so you have to walk. It’s not far, but just to be aware

A bit of a mix up when we got there at first with the room I thought we were going to as it only had a double bed and we needed twin beds. Anyway it was resolved no problem at all and we were upgraded to a two bedroom with living room apartment. It was a lovely apartment and was spotless. The apartment was cleaned every day and fresh clean towels given to us. All the staff were really nice and very friendly. The cafe next door makes the best breakfasts in the whole of Palaichora. The wee girl in the cafe was really nice as well. I would definitely recommend these apartments and will go back there again in the future.

Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable in the apartment. There was springs digging into me. I had to sleep on top of the covers in order to cushion it a bit. So I would maybe say to the owners they really need to replace the mattress. Lastly, the apartments are advertised as having air conditioning. They have the air conditioning units in all the rooms but none of them were working. We were there in early May and it was ok but if there in July or August I don't think it would be very pleasant trying to sleep at night. These two things were my only complaints but other than that the apartments and the staff were great.

Harris Studios was a pleasure to stay at in mid November. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful with advice provided throughout my stay, and were themselves a pleasure to talk to. I also extended my stay with them after an easy discussion. The room, facilities and adjoined cafe worked together perfectly. The property, being situated just outside of the centre of town, made for a very peaceful stay in Palaiochora, with the added bonus of a small beach close by and being blessed with some beautiful sunrises!

The staff is super friendly, we arrived a bit late but that was not à problem. The restaurant was also available at almost 11pm, and the food was great! The location is also incredible, with the studios facing the sea for the sunset. We would love to come again !!

There is no parking space reseved for the hotel, but you can find spots in the street for free

Owners were friendly. Location was fabulous, exceptional views, a lovely little gravel beach over the road with umbrellas and sunbeds available for a reasonable fee. Cafe (owned by owner) next door - nice. Restaurant just up the road Methexis was really good. Could use next door pool and washer. Clean

A little dated, would benefit from a refurb. Things didn’t quite fit.

3 relaxing days at Haris Studios Felt very welcome The place was most relaxing The breakfasts were superb and the chat was great Comfy well equipped studio and better shower than I have at home! Thank you Haris and Evangelia and your family and staff for a good 3 days .All good wishes

The weather!!!!!

The location is great, short walk to town and right across the road from the sea. The units are basic and clean. We had 2 single beds and we slept well. The room is quiet and dark. The staff are friendly and helpful.. I did laundry at 5 euros per load, wash only. No dryers so I had to hang clothes on drying rack. Kitchen area includes, sink, fridge and a 2 burners cook top. Minimal kitchen utensils but enough for breakfast prep. Haris Studios are very good value.

Our unit had a small sofa and it was very hard and so there is no comfortable place to sit indoors. As we were there in April it was too cool to sit outdoors in the evening. A microwave would be a great addition.

It was very clean. Right on sea front with balcony overlooking the sea. It was possible to park on the road close to the property. They were very friendly and also prepared to accommodate a 2 hr late check out so I could do a virtual meeting first.

Nice simple accommodation right on the water run by very nice people and nice location - away from the business of the centre but not far at all to get to it. Perfect for a one night stay.

There were some ants in the kitchen that were attacking my food but this seems to be common across Crete!
