Great welcome by Maria, with drinks and useful tips about the region. Location and view. Clean. Parking available. Maria and Niko always available with a smile, and even via WhatsApp. Good and tasty food and breakfast at the restaurant (Breakfast not included in our rate, but we had a 20% discount on the breakfast price). Umbrella, beach bag and towels available in our room for usage during our stay. Fresh water and a complimentary little oil bottle when we departed. We will return there for sure.

Price a little bit high. walk-in shower not greatly designed, and floor was inevitably watered.

Best stay I had while in Chania and around, I felt very safe and welcome, the infrastructures were so clean and nice. Being a bit further of the well known beach turned out to be an advantage in the end! Maria will tell you plenty of tips and help you with any request if she’s able to. Also fun « Greek merch » if you just happen to stop by their restaurant (also very good!). I wish I knew about them sooner, I would have stayed longer, I was actually sad to leave and my next hotel did disappoint me after it!

It felt like home. From the moment we walked in, Maria treated us like family. We had complimentary drinks upon arrival as our room wasn’t ready-but we were actually early! She explained the history of the hotel and restaurant and we felt connected immediately. She gave us a detailed hand written list of where we should go in the area. She lent us an umbrella and beach towels. The room was magnificent. The pool area was so lovely. The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The wines had been researched by the brothers and they were wonderful too. Everything was perfect!

Guykeria hotel and its management, in particular Maria was superb! Maria welcomed us with cold drinks at the stunning restaurant that is part of the hotel (huge bonus). The rooms are very comfortable and beautiful with refrigerator and plenty of room to stretch and to organize our things. Great balcony to the superb sunset. Maria the host is a Supper-Women, really!!! she was taking care of every thing for us, and others. we received beach towels and sun umbrella to go to the beach (later we have bought for ourselves 4 of her great beach towels that we are so happy with). The pool on premises is again a great bonus and wonderful to go to before the day begins or after a Long Beach day. my 11 years old daughter enjoyed the pool sooooo much and so do us. This is a perfect place at Elafonessi!, peace and haven. Looking forward to come for another week.

The property was very nice! The pool was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable and nice. Air conditioning worked great, nice bathrooms. Nice view of the sea. The restaurant was also great! We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there multiple times on our stay.

Not necessarily something I didn’t like. But good to be aware that you kind of need a car to go to a lot of the beaches near by. There are a few places walking distance, but the big main beaches in the area are a few minutes drive.

The restaurant has a beautiful view of the sea, the dishes are excellent, and the staff is extremely friendly, making you feel right at home. When we arrived at the hotel, we met Maria, who showed us around the hotel, offered us a cappuccino and orange juice, and explained all the secrets of the beaches near the hotel. In the end, she gave us her phone number to call her, even via WhatsApp, in case of any need. Simply Fantastic!!!

If I really have to find something, I would say that the pillows were too high and firm for my taste, but that's just a minor detail in an otherwise fantastic place.

1. Maria is the best hostess and provided excellent advice and guidance on where to go and what to do in Elafonsis. You’ll be in good hands if she’s there. 2. The rooms are super clean and well updated. The shampoo and lotions they provide are excellent. As are the towels and beach towels. The hotel balconies are perfect over looking the sea. 3. The hotel also has a restaurant across the street with amazing food. Trust the waiters and waitress for their recommendation’s. The hotel and the restaurant are the best in all of Crete. FYI: try the warm Greek salad or the green walnut salad at the restaurant! 4. It’s close to the best beaches in the area.

The people who run this hotel are lovely. Maria told us the story of how the taverna was built by the grandparents, the hotel by the parents, and now the whole property run by the next generation. Friendly, helpful, and eager to please, everyone here made our first few nights on Crete very enjoyable. An example of the warm and friendly service? My partner had checked out while I packed and just as we were driving out of the parking lot (the hotel building is across the street from the taverna and office), Maria ran across the street to bid me goodbye. The lovely open air restaurant looked out over the water and provided a good breakfast. Our room was bright and efficient and Maria provided towels, an umbrella, and handwritten instructions on a map on how to access the beautiful local beaches. The small balcony had a handy drying rack and a beautiful view of the sea.

Very well designed modern hotel with nice pool and attractive sitting areas. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the shower the best one we had in Crete: balcony to watch sunset and sea. Maria was a fount of information and went to great lengths to get us some chairs for the beach, as well as supplying beach towels.

Really nothing. The separate taverna was a bit expensive compared with other places in Crete and the menu a bit limited, but the food and service was very good and there are other places to eat very close by.

From the first moment we met Maria and Nikos - the owner of Glykeria - we felt very welcomed. They gave us the best recommendations for beaches and activities and a beautiful handmade beach bag with nice towels. The rooms are spacious, very clean, modern and have the best view. There is a beautiful pool perfect for kids as well. The restaurant of Glykeria serves food the whole day. They offer a big variety of very tasty and freshly prepared dishes. We can recommend this place 100%. What makes the huge difference is that Maria and Nikos put so much love in their place - every single day.
