We had an amazing stay at Kallistefan! The hotel looks great, with super comfy rooms and shared areas. The pool area is great for morning coffee or an afternoon swim in the sun. The staff was extremely helpful, attentive and kind, they really made our stay special. The hotel is located in Kissamos just minutes walk from the beach, with tons of great bars and restaurants in walking distance. They had space for us to park our car right in front of the hotel as well. Daily breakfast was also lovely and had tons of options. Overall a great stay and great value for money!

That’s the best hotel we ever stayed at. The rooms are very well designed and they were cleaned every day along with changing towels. In the room, you can find flip-flops, vanity sets, shower gel, and hair shampoo (refilled every day). You can also borrow a beach towel and umbrella to take it to the beach. The hotel itself is not very big so we enjoyed an excellent peace during the entire stay. Breakfasts were very delicious and they varied every day. We were leaving the hotel very early (before working hours). When I asked the night before where to put the door card, the hotel staff was so kind to propose to me a breakfast packed to go. The hotel is in the calmer area of Kissamos, far away from the noisy road but still very close to the supermarket (like a 4 min walk), to the beach and to the all restaurants as well.

The neighborhood seems a little unmaintained, but that's totally not the hotel's responsibility.

Very clean: room, pool, hotel in general. Breakfast was good to get you started for the day, although lots of the things were ready made things you just put in the over and did not taste great. Staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was too hot, the moment we switched off the AC, the room turned into a sauna. We could not sleep very well, we had to keep all the windows and balcony door open. This lead to some insects coming in and lots of noise during the night (cars, goats etc.).

Everything was perfect about this hotel. It was very clean and even the perfume of the lobby and rooms smelled amazing. The location is perfect, 5min walking to the beach, and very close to all the delicious restaurants. You also have a supermarket at 250m. The breakfast was good as well, and it was different everyday. The pool is very quiet and very relaxing to chill after a long day. You will be able to order some fresh drinks including cocktails ;)

Kallistefan is a hidden gem in Kissamos, a vegeta place to spend some relaxed days near the most beautiful beaches in Crete 😍 it should be almost new, and the rooms are super clean and comfy! The pool is amazing, the breakfast delicious and abundant and the staff couldn’t be nicer ❤️ We are planning to come back in June to Crete and for sure we will come back here!

Everything was perfect!

It was quite clean and contemporary, looking too cold for our taste. Rooms were fully renovated but without any extra plugs. Breakfast was sufficient but you had to pay for every extra coffee.

It was a family run hotel and the owner was near the swimming pool all the time kinda watching the stuff, making it look like the old Greek managerial style. Usually small family run hotels are much warmer and more welcoming.

The staff was awsome. The guy who checked us in, the young woman who was ready to help at reception, the ladies at the breakfast service... The pool area was great, spotless... We loved everything. Quiet location and plenty of parking space.

Aside from the super friendly staff and heart warming breakfast, everything about the location is very well designed, a lot of attention went into the interior design and the materials used in the finishes. About the breakfast - it was a delight, rich and really tasty; we stayed three days and enjoyed a bit of variety every day. Also I really enjoyed the extra espresso included in the menu apart from the regular coffee. Definitely on our shortlist for a future travel in Crete and I wholeheartedly reccomend them! The proximity to Balos, Elafonosi and Falasarna beaches makes this boutique hotel a perfect choice rather than driving all the way from Chania.

The experience with this small hotel in Kissamos was way over any expectations. The building, though not happily located (area still under construction) looks modern and brand new. The room was spacious, super luminous, perfectly clean and equipped with all amenities, including a pleasant see view. The breakfast was abundant and varied, with many options also for lactose intolerants like me. Taking aside all these positive aspects, the real plus of this accommodation is the amazing staff, from the cleaning ladies to the breakfast staff to the very kind reception girls, Sofia and Fiorela. Everyone was always ready to help and make my stay as perfect as possible. At Kallistefan Hotel, it really feels like home.

The hotel is located in an area of Kissamos which is still under construction but this is a minor issue compared to all the positive aspects that you can enjoy there

Good selection of products for breakfast, very clean rooms, friendly staff, possibility to borrow in umbrella to the beach. Good location if you want to drive to Chania, Falasarna or Elafonisi.

Not really about the property itself, but some guests are annoying when they start smoking if you are still eating in the table next to them.
