I had a truly lovely experience at Hotel Hermes. The location is perfect - just a short walk to the beach and close to the town center, yet quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful stay. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing holiday. What stood out the most was the hospitality - the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good variety of local products. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Crete and would love to come back in the future. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

A good breakfast was offered by the very efficient and attentive staff. One could take it inside or outside or near the pool. The swimming pool was beautiful and fairly large with a number of umbrellas and sun loungers within an enclosed wall. The room was marked as "de luxe" but I would not rate it that highly. However it was well equipped and very spacious indeed. It was on the ground floor but upper floors were served by a lift. There was a large kitchen area with huge fridge and full cooker facilities. Plenty of storage for self-catering. The hotel was well placed for exploring the superb area sites and towns. Parking was well-organised. The walk to the town centre took about 8 minutes but the pavements were a little narrow in places especially at night. Two good supermarkets were nearby. Staff were helpful and friendly. The decor was superb with a gorgeous public lounge area. Clearly a popular hotel as it was quite full. All public areas were beautifully set out.

The outside main road was very busy at times and sometimes very noisy at night. But the room was reasonably well placed to avoid too much disturbance. There was mention of a balcony in the room description but it was minute and just large enough for a small table and 2 chairs. A shame. A couple of areas inside were a little scruffy and seemed unfinished, ie the large storage cupboard. But it was a large apartment, to be fair.

Me and my daughter were at this hotel for 9 nights. The bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable, the balcony is lovely to have and the bathroom clean and comfortable. We also had clean sheets and towels and bins changed every morning by housekeeping. The reception staff were so welcoming and lovely to chat to, and helped us out with some issues so well. The location of the hotel is perfect because there is a beach 2 mins walk down the road and a bus station about 5 mins away on foot for anyone not using a car on holiday as we did. The swimming pool was very clean each day and no dirt around or on the ground, filters worked well and swimming was pleasant. Breakfast was amazing and there were plenty of options every single day, sweet or savoury to fit anyones likes. This hotel delivers a much more personal experience than bigger hotels. Really happy with it.

We have chosen the place because of it´s strategic location to go to Balos, Falasarna and Elafonissi, everything quite close by car to get to. The second room was good, as advertised, good A/C and comfortable mattress. The hotel pool was nice and clean, also the beach which is very close to hotel (around 5min. walk) is very clean and nice. The bright hair girl on the reception was extremely kind, friendly and helpful, helped us to change the room, even gave us some tips for our next destination. The breakfast was good with quite good variety to choose. Hotel was next the main road, but during the night there was nearly no traffic, so it was not really noisy. Also in the area of the hotel there were many restaurants to walk to for the dinner/lunch. Main Kissamos promenade was around 15min. walk. Overall I can recommend the hotel, it was good considering the price paid.

When we arrived the hotel was fully booked, we have got a room which was equipped with some broken furniture, there was extremely hot due to it´s orientation and the A/C worked only on one speed (full speed) so it was impossible to sleep while it was on. Fortunately the girl on the reception immediately second day moved us to a nice room. Location around the hotel not really nice, (hotel is in the end of Kissamos village), but you can go to beach/village in short walk.

Guannis exceptional host that was so helful, professional, brilliant and fun! He can provide you with history that exemplifies an expert tour guide, follow any recommendations and you can't go wrong. The location is perfect for Gramvousa & Balos tour. The local port promenade has more than sufficient restaurant options & all within walking distance. (Fish Tavern...unique Greek fish soup...my #1 choice for Europe so far!). Bus station is walking distance & less than 5 euros to Chania. Breakfast...fantastic; especially if want greek option...kudos! Learned all greek baked goods made with olive oil & no butter. Taxi is 8 euros to port as not considered safe for walking (highway).

Petty..but shower small & floors will get wet so be careful.

Best check in experience with Yanis at the reception. He welcomed us, but every guest with a big smile. Good recommendation and big sense of humor. We stayed for the weekend, room was nice with Aircon, balcony and bathtub. Amenities we inside the room. Didn't have the chance to use the swimming pool because come on we're in Crete you can have your swim in many the natural pools in the Island (like: Balos). Hotel has parking lot for the guest included in the price. Breakfast was very traditional with greek pastries and flavour. Strongly recommended - Yes, Definitely You can reach the hotel with car or also without car from Chania airport take the bus to the city and from there another bus to Kissamos then is only less than 10 minutes walking to hotel. No car needed if you want to visit balos you can go with the ferries organized by locals check online. Around hotel so many authentic greek restaurant along the seaside, beautiful during sunset.

Small room but enough for 1-2nights. Amazing huge breakfast buffet with the best juices from the electric machine (i love it). Lot of spaces for car parking and Petfriendly (my dog was welcome). Pool smaller than i expected but still enough

The room has view on the sea but lot of noises from the street and cars so we didnt sleep so well (better you have room from the pool side)

The best thing was the staff. They were really friendly and helpful and gave tips for our stay in Kissamos. The breakfast was nice. The room was ok.

Soundproofing wasn’t so good, we were disturbed for example by a barking dog. The location is not the best by foot, but if you have a vehicle it’s ok.

Kiddies pool was great for our little ones. Good pool Comfy beds

They were understaffed at the hotel so getting any information about things like busses to and from Chania was impossible as they didn’t have the time to find anything out for us.

Good price for hotel and nice breakfast. Nice swimming pool and very friendly hotel staff :) We also could borrow umbrella for free from hotel for our beach trip, which was really kind!

I noticed that our towels has not been changed properly every day, just few of them were changed regularly.
