The owner was there to give us the keys and also brought us freshly made orange juice upon arrival. Amelia and her family made our trip awesome and memorable because of their exceptional hospitality. She recommended an incredible restaurant that we visited and the food, the views and the people were so extraordinary that we couldn't believe how lucky we were to experience it. Amelia also suggested a boat tour that took us to Balos beach and Garamvousa island and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Crete. We were so happy to stay at Villas Vista Del Mar and to have met Amelia have access to her local insights and tips! Very valuable knowledge and much appreciated! Some of the best parts of our Crete Trip occurred because of Vista Del Mar and Amelia!

The host is extremely nice and helpful. We appreciated her advice on trips etc. The accommodation is standalone and very clean. The location as central point for trips in the northwest of Crete is perfect. Overall we enjoyed the hospitality and great location.

WiFi signal is weak. Worth noting for the light sleepers is that you hear traffic (loud motor bikes, trucks, etc) from the main road less than 50 meters away. Unfortunately one of the mobile beds made a loud cracking noise whenever you moved.

We had a great stay in this little gem in north Crete. The Kissamos port to go to Balos and Gramvousa Island is just 1 km close, so you can really plan the day very efficiently. It is 1 hour drive to Elafonissi and 15 min to Falasarna Beach, so it has a perfect location for us. The host was absolutely welcoming, responsive and genuinely thoughtful. Beach blankets were great. The place was very clean and the mattresses were very comfy. The morning coffee with the see view was really very relaxing.

Extraordinary hospitality of Amelia made us stay longer than we planed. She is always there, ready to help and cares of her guests down to the smallest detail. The house was cleaned every day, even including dish wasching, which realy allowed us to relax. It was very well equipped. There is a beautiful view at the sea from the terrace and each window. The pool was great: clean, calm and surrounded by plenty of flowers. There are lots of deckchairs with comfort mattresses, chairs and the gazebo allows to hide in the shade or have a nap on an outside bed. Small pool was perfect for kids. And cicadas complete the charm. Totally recommend if you look for a calm place with a vibe, away from hustle and bustle of tourists. It is also a perfect starting point to visit the most bautifull beaches like Balos, Falasarna, Elafonisi or many other interesting places inland. There is also a good tavern in the port 5 minutes by feet.

We enjoyed our stay at Villas Vista Del Mar very much! My husband and I spent 9 nights there and it is simply the perfect place to explore Western Crete from! Amelia is an exceptionally kind and caring person who really went out of her way to make us feel at home! The view from our cosy cottage over the ocean and mountains in the background was incredible! If you get up early enough you can even enjoy a beautiful sunrise! Everything is very well maintained and looked after! The pool is fantastic! Amalia is incredibly kind, this was my best experience in terms of the classic warm Greek welcome. This was the best of the properties I stayed at in Crete in terms of hospitality, authenticity, artistic touches. The little house was gorgeous and I would have loved to move in. It's so tasteful decorated. Amalia picked me up from he bus stop and dropped me back as I didn't come by car.... I think that with a car, a person would have an even better time at this location! I warmly recommend anyone to stay here, make this your base. I hope to return.

Personally not having a car was a little tricky, but that wasn't the fault of the property.. you can walk to Kissamos, but it's a very busy road and I don't recommend doing it at night.

Idyllic location in a quiet, secluded spot but close to some fabulous sights. The views from the villa were spectacular. Caught a great sunrise one morning. Pool was fabulous and always plenty of beds for everyone to lie in the shade.

A long drive from Heraklion airport. Amelia was great when we finally arrived at 2am due to flight delays. Rugs in the place are a big if a trip hazard and lack of sockets in kitchen to plug in small appliances, I.E lead too short for the kettle.

The host Amelia was fantastic from the day we arrived, couldn’t do enough for you. The pool area was lovely with comfy sunbeds. The bungalows had everything that you need. Amelia provided beach towels, there is a beach 10 mins drive away and some lovely beachside restaurants very reasonably priced. We had a fantastic time at Villa Vistas Del Mar, felt very safe and would definitely return.

The only negative thing was the shower curtain wasn’t quite long enough which meant floor got very wet!

The best stay I had in Crete! We were greeted so warmly by our host and were even given fresh fruits that she grew herself. Everything in the villa is so well thought of. Beach umbrella, beach towel, mosquito repellant, hair dryer, iron, kitchen equipment, and many many more were provided for your stay. The host made helpful little info flyers to guide you where to visit, what to eat, etc. This place is so warm hearted and romantic. Absolutely perfect for a couple of family. I would definitely stay here again and again :)

There really isn't one.

We were there with our 6-month-old son for almost two weeks in September and had a great stay! The hosts are incredibly friendly, flexible when it comes to handing over keys and you receive a very warm welcome! The given restaurant recommendations were also great. The bungalows have everything you need, at night you can hear the sea and in the morning you can see the sun rising over the mountains. The children's pool is great for splashing around with the little ones. You need a car for excursions, but the beautiful beach of Falasarna is just as easily accessible as gorges for smaller hikes.
