Best kept secret of Kissamos amazing staff . we had a great time the convenience of having the pool and the beach so close is great for kids .when you walk about ten minutes , medium hard under the heat , you have restaurants and a supermarket . It is also ideally located for those who wants to go to balos which I highly recommend about ten euro by taxi.

It is not that I didn't like it but please note that even though the sunbed are on sand the beach has stones but the sea can be see through crystal clear depending of the weather . It is very nice to swim in there it felt safe enough not too much tide even in windy conditions sometimes it can be flat and smooth and clear other time can be a bit rough but overall good beach Great hotel at nice price also convenient for my Alzheimer's suffering dad as they have a lift and no steps in the shower . I like the mushroom pasta and pizza but I find it s a bit pricey but so are the other restaurants in Kissamos so sometimes we would have a gyros.

We are a family of 3 (parents-child) and had a short overnight stay, following the arrival in Kastelli with a ship en route to Heraklion. Because we planned to arrive at 5 am (and the reception was closed), we had been given instructions beforehand on how to find the room and we were allowed to stay after noon to get a decent sleep. The brothers than run the place were very helpful and polite. Thumbs up!

Overall experience was positive. The only thing that needed fixing in the room was the shower head which was partly clogged due to scales.

The hotel was amazing! clean, with beach umbrellas and sunbeds for all guests. the pool was lovely and the sunbeds so comfortable. Breakfast really good and varied and the restaurant was cheaper than others in the city but better! lunch and dinner were wonderful!

It's a very good hotel, but the staff was not very friendly: except from the woman (who was very rarely at the reception), almost no one greeted the guests. Apart from that, we had a little problem with the hairdryer (I cannot find it in the room) and they solved it in minutes and they offered us a lunchbox as we checked out very early in the morning. Just a little suggestion to be more cheerful with the guests, but the hotel was amazing!

Located in the middle of the Kissamos Gulf, Sunny Bay is a modern yet homey resort right on the water and minutes from the community. We felt welcomed at the resort at all times, all staff were very friendly and helpful. Included in the cost was a delicious continental breakfast that had options for everyone. There’s a mini market for needs and a good bar area by the pool with full service to the beach. The beach is gorgeous with nice views and calming scenery. The rooms were spacious, always clean, and are accessible by stairs or lift to accommodate most guests either with various mobility strength or big luggage. Other guests were friendly and respectful of each other’s vacation, with most making friends with the staff and other guests before leaving. Sunny Bay is a well oiled machine with friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and offers a beach getaway without removing yourself too much from the excitement and offerings of Crete.

As Canadians, we are accustomed to A/C. We experienced some issues with our Air Conditioning in the room, but the reception staff were immediately helpful to ensure we were comfortable while working behind the scenes to get the unit fixed.

A very nice hotel , situated directly on the beach. It also has a nice pool. We liked the room, was big and clean. The breakfast also was very good, with plenty of choices. The staff from reception and restaurant was friendly. There are some tavernas quite close, at a walking distance.

There are rocks on the beach, not only sand. It was not a big issue, as we bought water shoes, but we would liked to know this before.

The hotel has its own beach with free shade and sunbeds, it is quite wavy even at 100 meters, it is 1.5 meters deep, the water is very clear after the first few meters. The rooms, even those with a side sea view, have a great view. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with all your requests.

The air conditioner in our room was facing the bed and it was impossible to use it at night. There were no mosquito nets on the balcony door. They only give one key card per room.

- Great location, right by the sea, walking distance to many restaurants, and not far by car to the most famous beaches of Crete - The outside of the hotel is well maintained, with a nice swimming pool and restaurant/bar - Breakfast was good with a few variations every day - Staff was super friendly

- The interior of the hotel room is a bit old fashioned and needs some renovation - Bed and pillows are not super comfortable - It would be nice to have a net at the windows to avoid insects coming in

The breakfast was delicious, love to meet Lucy and the owner who is also an animal lover, everything is so well designed, well use of the space. Beautiful swimming pool with some bubble bad part, a few submerged sits. Great lighting at night. The beach just in front with parasol and sits included. Breakfast was delicious and workers are lovely and authentic which is something I appreciate and it also shows thegreat working ambiance. The room beautiful big also well designed. We walked to the restaurants and we took some tours to balos (bus) from the hotel. We took a taxi to falaserna as i don’t like driving. Awesome! We miss it already

I am asking my partner and after thinking a while we can mention that the toilet sit was a bit old. Maybe some new pingpong bats. But i can also live without those.

Nice little family managed hotell. Very proffissional and very friendly staff. Everybody just made us feel welcomed, and not in an artificial way. The beach is really nice, not overcrowded. Not filled with thousands of tourists that reserve the seats with the twols before sunrise only to use them for half an hour (i hope people start to realize how stupid that is). And the pool is always cleen. The pool bar is really nice. It was a really good experience and a fresh change aways from the huge fancy hotels that may look better from the outside, but not as tidy.

The vacation ended too quickly :( There was nothing that i didn't like. Even the food was really good.

Sunny bay is a beautiful hotel located right on the beach in Kissamos. I was immediately welcomed by staff and given a free upgrade to a room with a view of the sea. The rooms are spacious and immaculate. They have a restaurant and pool on the property as well. Sunny bay also offers their guests a shuttle service as well. I would definitely come back!
