The owner Yanis is a very kind man, the staff are all very friendly, it is exceptionally clean and very relaxing. There is a fabulous supermarket directly opposite, and with the rooms having a fridge, it made it a very comfortable living experience.

The bed was a little hard for my comfort but we all like different types, however the Retsina and Metaxxa got me off to sleep most nights 😂 The main road location is a little noisy but we got used to it, although I would recommend ear plugs for having a sleep round the pool.

Location perfect, opposite 24 hour bakery and supermarket which sells everything. Bus stop metres from hotel. Warm welcome from Hotel Manager. Stayed beginning of September, pool was always quiet, plenty of sun beds. Short walk to lots of nice restuarants and beach. Room was perfect, good storage, fridge in room, comfy beds, bathroom with walk-in shower, very modern, always lots of hot water. Towels changed daily. Our room overlooked road, and yes there is some road noise, but it never bothered us, once doors are closed it was quiet. Slept well. Unfortunately, I slipped on the cobbled steps in Fira, which are well worn in places - so beware! I fractured my ankle and hotel staff were really helpful, Manager booked taxi for hospital. Hotel staff, especially Manager and Font were so kind and helpful. Would stay in this hotel again.

The staff at Petra Nera are so friendly and accommodating, offering help on excursions, car hire and anything else you need for your stay. The location is a little outside of Perissa but it's a short 10 minute walk to many of the beach front cafes and a bus stop to Fira is next door. The bakery opposite is fantastic, selling lots of different sweet and savoury snacks as well as drinks. There's also a supermarket so you can stock up on water and snacks. We stayed in a family room with 2 beds on a mezzanine and a little balcony outside. Fresh towels and sheets are provided daily and the hotel is spotless. The pool is small but perfect size to cool down in. There's not many rooms in the hotel so it never feels crowded or too busy.

The towels were a little old and worn and the rooms got very warm. There is air conditioning but it struggled to cool the upper part as well as the main part of the room. If you need complete darkness to sleep, bring an eye mask. The balcony does have (very creaky) shutters but the room does get bright through the other windows. Outside the pool could have probably done with a few more things like pool noodles but that's a minor thing and we just brought a beach ball to use instead.

Great location - 10 minutes walk from the beach. 24 hour bakery and supermarket immediately opposite. The pool is lovely and there’s almost always enough sun loungers for everyone. They clean the room everyday and the air conditioning is amazing. I loved the tiled walk in shower and the cotton bedding was lovely and crisp. I love that we were in walking distance of all the local amenities and 1 minute from the bus station to Fira.

Nothing to not like. But if you get the bus from Fira but the hotel on your Google maps so you know where to get off. It drops you off just past the hotel literally 30 seconds and the stop is called San Antonio. That’s the only thing that made me a little nervous when arriving.

The hotel is in a great location, with a fabulous bakery over the road and 3 mins walk to nearest bars and restaurants. The beachfront is only a 5-10 min walk, which has an excellent choice for places to eat & drink. The room was basic (as expected of 2-star), however was exceptionally clean and big enough for the two of us. Lovely little balcony to sit on to soak up the rays. In addition, the pool and surrounding area is wonderful. Big thank you to Yannis and his family for being so welcome and doing everything they can for you. Our stay was truly delightful. The hotel’s proximity to the unique black beach added a touch of exotic charm to our holiday. The staff were engaging and always ready to assist, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and the pool and outdoor area were well-maintained and inviting. A special mention to the hotel owner who went above and beyond by picking us up in an air-conditioned Sprinter. This personal touch truly made us feel welcomed. Overall, a memorable stay that we would highly recommend to others.

Petra Nera has a great pool, plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas so you can choose shade if you wish. The breakfast is good, boiled eggs are always welcome ! The air-conditioning in the room was very good and made the hot nights bearable. The location is great. On the main road in Perissa, there is a supermarket opposite that is open till 1130pm, and a 24 hour bakery that also makes the best coffee . There's a bus stop close by, and the beach is only a few minute's walk. The staff are amazing, so friendly and welcoming.

Everything was amazing! Spotless clean rooms, relaxing pool, the neighborhood is very quiet. There's a parking too. The staff is very kind and helpful. You can rent a car, book excursions and transfers in the reception. The location is perfect. There's a supermarket carrefour which is open until 23.00 hrs, a bakery open 24/7. The bus station San Antonio is a few steps away and the beach is only a 7 minute Walk from the hotel. Highly recommend it

Everything was perfect.

Excellent location: the hotel is close to the beach (5-10 minutes), a supermarket and a bakery (across the street both of them). The hotel is clean, with a well-kept swimming pool, sunbeds, and umbrellas. The hotel staff was very kind. The owner offered to provide us with a transfer from the airport for a fee, recommended trips in the area, and ensured we had everything we needed or asked for, including renting a car. The hotel rooms are generously sized, cleaned daily, and have comfortable beds. It was a pleasant stay. I warmly recommend the hotel.

It would have been useful to have an electric stove or a kettle in the rooms.

We didn’t take breakfast as there was a great bakery across the road . The staff were fantastic esp Fot on reception . The room was cleaned every day to a great standard .

We didn’t like that 5 days into our stay we were asked to change rooms with other guests who were complaining . Initially we agreed but then in thinking about it we didn’t want to change as we had only two days left of the holiday . The manager was very accepting of this and there was no tension . However reflecting on this I do not know why we were ever asked in the first place . Was it because it was two women on their own ? It made me cross in hindsight and although it was resolved I did feel rather put out that we were asked to give up our room in the first place .
